The wonderful thing about being a winged being and possessing the ability of flight, was that one could reach various parts of the world in a very short space of time. It had only been a few moments since she had silenced the petulant child and she was once again on direct course to be reunited with her 'mate'. Well in her eyes he was her mate, in his eyes she wasn't sure, they hadn't exactly had this conversation but he had been amenable when they had been in one another's company so surely...?

It was a conversation for another time, right now she had more important matters to attend to. She had a reason for being here, on this occasion it wasn't so much a social call as one in which she needed guidance. Proper guidance at that, not some brief words of wisdom, a series of sentences wasn't going to help her on this occasion. Thus she had (against her son's wishes, and by extension Destati's) sought him out - you see he was the only one she knew who could coach her properly.

...Now that she understood the importance of the Askorun, she wanted to make sure that she came back and performed correctly. It would secure the honour of her son and he wouldn't have to concern himself with attempting to brush her jests under the rug. She might not aim to live with the Vikings forever, but she certainly intended to embrace their culture while she did so... The only way she was going to achieve that was to be given the same lessons her children had been given.

Yup, she was going to learn to fight.

Of course that did mean dropping in entirely unannounced on her childrens' sire, but she was sure she would be forgiven once he had given her an audience and taken her request into consideration!

It had started off as a small shadow, but it had quickly grown and eclipsed the light above him. At first he had ignored it, placing it in the same category as a low flying bird, yet when it didn't disappear and when each one of his collective began to glance upwards one by one, he realised that it wasn't what he had initially thought. In fact, the long he stood here the more he began to realise that the shadow was growing and rather than gaze upwards he looked down to 'inspect' whatever was approaching him.

...By shape alone he realised that it wasn't a bird.

No, it was something he had thought was safely tucked away in one of the most defended prides he had seen. She was unceremoniously falling from the sky as she was often wont to do, but based on her usual behaviours he didn't expect to see this form for very long. He'd been around her long enough, he knew her quirks, and beyond being incredibly stubborn she also had no inclination to cause lasting harm. Thus as the shadow came ever closer he waited patiently until it unceremoniously vanished.

Another countdown and he felt the 'smack' of something impacting against his neck and tiny paws began to swim through his mane.

"Arimathras," he acknowledged her in a wry tone and raised a brow. "You are not where you are supposed to be," he pointed out.

Clearly he was not going to get this meeting finished any time soon.

There was the male she'd grown so fond of, always so blunt and to the point! She gave a tiny wiggle of her cotton tail and slithered further up his head until she was rested between his nose. It would be enough for her to be seen by him, and in the mean time she could be graced with an opportunity to greet his friends. All right so they were probably more than just friends, but for now she would play the oblivious visitor to avoid having to have them come up with immediate 'cover stories'.

Someday, somehow, she was going to get the full story.

...Just not today.

"Hello dear!" she announced merrily, choosing to ignore him as he chastised her for ignoring his request to remain with the children. Even after he had reiterated his desire she was out here, but she'd come for a reason and she wasn't about to take no for an answer! Not this time anyway, this time it was important that he said yes.

"I need your help," she continued and took a breath. "I made a tiny little mistake of misunderstanding some of Tethys and Dione's traditions and now I need to show my respect," she explained and patted his nose. "So would you be ever so kind as to teach me how to do the fisticuffs thing?"

She paused and gave a giggle as one or two of his 'friends' cracked a smile.

"I promise I'll be really quiet until you finish whatever you're doing, then maybe you can spare some time to help me!" she added with an enthusiastic nod.

Oh gods, what had this fluffy ball of doom done now? It wasn't that Arimathras was disastrous but she could often be naive to the nuances of various cultures. It was a consequence of being a deity, they went wherever they wanted and often did whatever they pleased without anyone disputing it. Therefore he wasn't entirely surprised that she had caused some sort of stir during her time there. However, the fact that she now had to fight to give him pause for concern, she might have been immortal but even gods could bleed...she'd said so herself.

Who was it exactly that she had challenged? Was it not someone that Tethys could handle, settle it according to his pride's customs... Or was this something so truly out of sorts that Ari had to regain her honour herself? He flicked his gaze upwards to the lioness who stirred a level of concern in him that no one else had ever achieved. It wasn't a feeling he wanted to dwell on at present, but when he was on his own he was often deeply unsettled by it.

"Who did you -" he paused and shook his head. "No matter," he elected to ignore the need to find out who she had caused problems with at this moment in time. He had too much on his plate to request all the details, particularly when he really should have been briefing his own troops on their next moves. Further queries were going to have to wait until a moment of quiet... one that would most assuredly come after this meeting.

"I'm not going to promise to help you march to your own demise," he said at last and shook his head again, tipping the rabbit onto the ground between his paws. "But I will agree to listen to your conundrum and then decide the best course of action after I have finished what I set out to do here," he finished.

Arimathras provided a churr of approval and settled herself comfortably, she really was very easy to accommodate on occasions, especially when she thought she was getting her way.

Thusly he continued with his meeting, he may not have promised to teach her the 'fisticuffs', but at the very least he would be able to get his more vital matters attended to before he listened to the conundrums of the mother of his children."

...One paw in front of the other as it were.
