Located in the downtown area of Inaba - such as it is - the Tavernacle is a relatively new bar owned and operated by Satomi Iroha. Sadly, most of her customers don't get the joke - but her welcoming personality has helped her build up a steady clientele and she's happy to serve beer, cocktails, sake, and some fairly exotic choices. She also makes snacks - which taste fine, but look absolutely horrible no matter what she does. Alas, such is the way things go.

Arimina Wolfgang Arimina, Mono and Roux had been walking around town for a couple hours now, enjoying the view of the buildings covered in a light layer of snow, showing Mono the landmarks and places to relax. Arimina, however, had grown bored of this, and decided to slip away. She figured they'd catch up to her eventually, but for now, she opened the door to her favourite new bar, and stepped inside. "Sa-chan! Guess who's here to see you?~"Ignoring anyone else who might have been inside, Arimina walked up to and around the service bar itself, and lightly cuddled Satomi from behind. "Ah, my favourite bartender, I'll have the usual thanks, just put it on the bar and I'll go around and have it when I'm done hugging you."

 Satomi Iroha, Owner of the Tavernacle"Hey, 'Mina." Satomi said cheerfully. She'd started making Arimina's favorite drink as soon as she'd seen her come in - regulars were nice that way, and she simply enjoyed the hug before gesturing for Arimina to go ahead and take a seat up front when she was done. As much as she enjoyed getting to know her customers, it was hard to make their drinks otherwise... and she was pretty darn proud of her cocktails. It was an art as much as anything, and she enjoyed figuring out new combinations for her patrons to enjoy. "So, how has your day been?"

Arimina WolfgangWalking back around to the customer side of the bar, Arimina took what was quickly becoming her personal seat, right in front of where Satomi usually stood. Taking a sip of the cocktail placed before her, she smiled. "Perfect as always, how does a good bartender just always know what a customer needs?"Taking another sip, she sighed lightly, content. "It's been interesting. I woke up this morning to a half-naked demon girl practically confessing her undying love for me, even though we'd never met. Apparently her boss has been stalking me for some time now, and he's been telling her all about me."A third sip, and a quick glance up and down at Satomi. "It's not so bad, she rivals you in looks, and she's fun enough. Oh, and there's Roux, he showed up as we were having breakfast, always a fun time, so we spent the day showing Mono, the new girl, around town, before I snuck off to come see you."Taking one of the disturbing looking snacks from the bar, Arimina nibbled it lightly. They looked scary, but they did taste quite good. "I imagine they'll bust in here soon, looking for me. I didn't exactly hide my trail, and if Mono's what she claims, which she certainly seems to be, it shouldn't be too hard for them to follow me."Quickly finishing the rest of the cocktail in one gulp, Arimina placed the glass on the bar. "Another, please, dear. Something new this time."

Satomi Iroha, Owner of the Tavernacle"Sounds like fun." Satomi answered with a big grin. She enjoyed hearing about the things her customers did, and Arimina always had the most interesting stories to share. True or not, she had a lot of fun listening - and Arimina's exotic looks didn't exactly go unnoticed. After a moment of thought, Satomi pulled out a shaker and filled it halfway with ice. An ounce and a half of white rum went in first, then half an ounce each of Southern Comfort and Triple Sec - fortunately, importing drinks wasn't usually too hard when you had the connections, and her suppliers were pretty good about finding what she needed. A quarter of an ounce of lemon juice went in to finish it, and she shook it thoroughly before straining into a highball glass mostly filled with ice. A cherry went on top a moment later as the drink's garnish, and with a final flourish, she slid it in front of Arimina along with a couple of small treats that looked like broken demon eyeballs. (...Alas, she'd yet to figure out how to make snacks that looked normal.) "The Lone Wolf seemed appropriate. Let me know what you think." the bartender said with a smile.

Arimina Wolfgang & Mono Karasuba Arimina had barely managed to take the first sip of her new drink, when suddenly her ears twitched, turning to face the door, and she sighed lightly into her glass. "Sorry, Sa-chan, it looks like it's about to get noisy, and it's my fault."No sooner had she finished speaking, the door burst open and an almost wailing could be heard, before Mono, her tail waving in anxiety, bashing Roux in the face repeatedly, rushed through and threw herself at Arimina. "You left me! You promised you wouldn't! I was worried!""Ah, ah, I'm sorry dear, I thought you and Roux would like some time to get to know each other, and I felt like a drink. I should have brought the two of you along, I know."Arimina hugged Mono gently as she spoke, softly caressing the wolf-girl's hair and ears, trying to calm her down. It was working, but now Mono was hiccuping sadly into Arimina's chest. "Well, Sa-chan, this is Mono. Mono, Sa-chan. Get along."

Satomi Iroha, Owner of the Tavernacle"Hello~!" Satomi always had a smile for those who came in through her doors - by this point it was as reflexive as breathing for her. And Arimina really did keep the most interesting company, didn't she? "I bet a drink will make you feel better. We've got some recommendations at the front our menu here, but I'm happy to take requests if you've got something in mind." You could almost see the sparkles around her as she offered a copy of the Tavernacle's menu. She was pretty proud of the number of different drinks she offered, and absolutely delighted in helping people experience new flavor sensations. (Yes, that was the word she used. If it wasn't an experience, it wasn't good enough for her.)

:: The Genius Extraordinaire! ::┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Momo was interesting company while Arimina was gone, and by interesting, the blond meant anxious and completely lost once she realized her mistress snuck away. He was even almost tempted to play the 'extend the search' game since it was the only real thrill he had since the start of the tour of the town he had already memorized down to practically the last blade of grass. However, he wouldn't get the chance to, as it didn't take her long to (literally) sniff the woman out. The next thing he knew they entered a bar as he was subjected to being slapped repeatably by the girl's tail like he was hysteric... He somewhat enjoyed the feeling of the soft appendage though, and moved his head along with the tail so he could enjoy the experience that much more. Then after he got his fill and introductions were being given, Roux would step away and sit at the far end of the bar, his arms resting on the counter with his fingers locked in front of his face as if to insinuate he was in deep thought... "Bartender..." He called with an uncharacteristically deep and smooth like silk voice, "Give me bourbon on the rocks... And slide it." Now his plan to make a cool first impression was set in motion... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

Satomi Iroha, Owner of the Tavernacle"I'm happy to serve... but first I'll need to see some ID." Satomi answered with a wink and a smile. She usually just served drinks to anyone who was obviously old enough, but the newcomer was fairly boyish, and she was careful to stay in line with the regulations. That, and he was ordering by type of drink instead of by brand, which suggested he was pretty new at this... another reason to card him. She did, however, go ahead and start filling a glass of water for him. People who didn't know how to drink alcohol rarely realized that alternating sips of whiskey and water actually tended to work out better than just downing any kind of whiskey straight. That, and aside from helping to bring out flavors, it meant your body would have more time to process the alcohol and you wouldn't get quite as drunk. It was a little early in the day to be getting her customers smashed...

Arimina Wolfgang & Mono KarasubaMono had mostly calmed down, and was sitting on the stool next to Arimina, though she had moved it closer so she could lean against the white-haired wolf-woman. Arimina was okay with this, and was absentmindedly playing with Mono's hair between sips of her cocktail, when Roux, sitting at the far end of the bar, uncharacteristically ordered a glass of bourbon. This by itself was almost enough to make Arimina laugh, but she held it back, smirking a little as she watched Roux attempt to be cool. Until Satomi asked for his I.D. "Haha! She's got you there Roux-chan, are you sure you're old enough to drink?"She laughed and teased him, but was about to stick up for him, when she decided against it. She and Roux may be criminals, but Satomi was a legitimate business woman, and Arimina for one would hate to bring trouble down upon her, especially considering their relationship.

Actually, he was: he had never been asked for his ID to drink in a day of his life before. Sure the legal age was 20, but really it didn't seem like most people in japan cared about that. This bartender must have been particularly protective... "Haha! She's got you there Roux-chan, are you sure you're old enough to drink?"...That fluffy tailed fox! Clearly not appreciative (actually, he didn't care, but it seemed appropriate) the blond would turn his head to face Arimina and give her a very squinty glare while keeping his bright smile on his face all the while. Then with a rummage of his lab coat pocket, he would pull out his wallet and show it to the bartender, proving he was old enough! Yes, he may have looked young, but he was legal! Not that it ever stopped him before... "On the rocks... Please." He said, still trying to maintain the cool act he was attempting. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

Satomi Iroha, Owner of the TavernacleSatomi picked up the card and examined it carefully - as she always did. Honestly, most people didn't try to get around the rules to begin with, but her shop was a new one and she wanted people to have the expectation that she did things right. After verifying that he was indeed old enough - and he was, if not by a great deal - she noted the order on her system and pulled out a three ounce rocks glass, filled it with ice, and drizzled the brandy over it. Personally, she preferred cocktail versions - but people ordered what they ordered, and while bourbon wasn't as popular in Japan these days, there were still bottles to be used. With a practiced motion, she slid his glass of water down before following up with the drink - slowly, so as to make it easy to catch. "Alternate sips. It brings out the flavor." she advised with a smile. Of course, there was another reason for that, too - she enjoyed seeing her place being lively, and the more customers she had, the better.

Arimina Wolfgang & Mono KarasubaSoftly intertwining her tail with Mono's, Arimina gave the not-so-depressed-anymore wolf-girl a hug, before turning back to watching Satomi and Roux. Apparently Roux really was of legal drinking age, so Satomi served him the drink he ordered, along with a glass of water. Arimina, a split second from making a snide comment, suddenly froze with her mouth open. "Hey. Sa-chan. You never asked me for my I.D... Are you saying I look old?"She spoke in a serious tone, but the barely hidden grin on her face told the true story, that she was just playing. "I'll show you how old a woman I am after you close the shop for the night."

:: The Genius Extraordinaire! :: ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Smiling ever so softly, the hardboiled scientist would catch the glass of water effortlessly followed by the bourbon. However, he wasn't quite sure why he was given H2O, and it clearly showed as he examined it with his head tilted - probably to the bartender's and even Arimina's surprise though, his ignorance wasn't because he wasn't a big drinker, actually he drank a fair bit, but it was rare for him to take the time to enjoy the flavors. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth though, Roux would take the woman's suggestion and sip the beverage before alternating to the water, then back to the alcohol again. She was right, it really did bring out the flavor! "Hooooo!" He said in an impressed tone before going for another sip of water. Sadly, he would regret that decision as it came right back out in the form of a glorious and spectacular spit take once his virgin ears heard Arimina's rather forward remark... Well, there went his impression... "Sorry, sorry!" He said in between his coughs and gasps, "I'll clean it up in a second, bartender-san." Did he imagine something he shouldn't have? No! Don't be ridiculous... And his face was definitely not a few shades pinker, you're imagining it! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

Satomi Iroha, Owner of the TavernacleSatomi giggled at Arimina's advances, then smiled at Roux as he spat out a bit of his drink. She bent down a bit by the counter a moment later, then plucked the cherry out of Arimina's drink and gently sucked it off of its stem, reddening her lips with its juices as she raised an eyebrow. "Maybe I just knew you were old enough for me." she answered, straightening and sauntering back towards Roux, where she dropped a towel next to him so he could clean up the mess. There were still quite a few hours of business to get through, after all... and she really did love her job. Getting to know her customers was one of the best perks she could imagine.
