x x x Peony was in a pickle.
Earlier that morning he had studied in the Arkham dorm lounge. It was a great place to relax and was usually pretty quiet. Getting work done there was easier than going to the library. However, Peony was becoming... distracted, to say the least. Things were popping in his head that just made no sense. Irrational desires, silly whimsical wants that just sapped his attention span.
It was another one of those days of being forgetful that he had forgotten something very important! His pencil bag. It wasn't just an addorable nessecity for class, it also held a very special item from someone else... An item he had swiped, no less.
But, Peony figured it would be fine. He'd go to the lounge and search the table he had been sitting at! Life rarely worked the way you wanted it, Peony was learning.
Someone was sewing at that table and seemed rather into their work. Anxiety rushed through the geist, his shyness blooming ten fold. Carefully he approached the table, his voice faltering as he spoke. His hands were cupped together, worrying one another as he shifted from side to side.
"E-excuse me? I... I uhm..." Oh god, what did he say? I need to crawl under the table? No that sounded weird! "W-what you're making is pretty..."

Keriga still wasn't used to having a place at the school that was just his. He had lived, up until now, at home with his mothers and brothers and he had to say that he much preferred it that way. He wasn't used to people being around him constantly and he was getting rather anxious. Of course, he could go to his room, but the place was stuffy and rather colorless. He knew he could make it more comfortable and vibrant, but he just wasn't sure it would ever be home to him.
He had fallen into a pattern of working on his things in the common room, from back when he did live with his parents. Thankfully, he was able to tune the noise and people out when he worked, and today seemed rather quiet anyhow. It was a nice break, a way to take his mind off of everything that was bothering him. He was working on a new jacket for Alex. He hoped his brother would like it, though he wanted it to be a surprise for him. It was going to be a classy blazer when he was finished, but he was having a little problem getting the stitching just perfect. He was still learning his craft, after all.
Keriga was so engrossed in his work that he hadn't heard the voice at first. When it finally did register to him, he blinked, a feeling of dread filling him. Oh man! Did he really have to talk to someone? He really didn't want to talk to anyone! Why wouldn't they just leave him alone, he wasn't bothering anyone! Panic filled him as he turned his head, though he eased slightly when he saw it was a kid younger than him, though his edge didn't completely disappear. "I.... umm.... hello... Uhhh..... thanks...." He stammered a bit, trying not to shake.

x x x Peony was still in a pickle.
What... Did he do now? Peony felt like he could shrink into himself at any moment. The dilemma of getting the start was overriding any desire to flee, but that didn't solve the problem. It was just adding to the geist's feelings of discomfort and fear. However, from the fog of worry, Peony recognized that the fey junior he had approached also seemed to be nervous... That calmed him considerably.
"Y... You are very good at it... I don't think I could m-make clothes myself. I'm only good with flowers." Peony offered the stranger a sheepish smile, his tendrils glowing brighter from embarassment, "W-what are you making exactly? A jacket?"

Keriga still wasn't sure why the Freshling had approached him, was he really all that interested in his work? He nibbled his lip slightly, big eyes staring at the kid. It took him a moment or two to remember that he shouldn't do that, so he turned and started to hem one sleeve on the jacket to busy himself. "I.... thank you...." He did even worse with compliments, his cheeks flushing a darker blue. "Y-Yeah... It's a... b-blazer... For my brother...." He still had a hard time of thinking himself as older than the Freshling, still not being used to being a Junior yet. He, frankly, wasn't used to being older than anyone on anything, even though he knew his mother was having another kid. He had no desire to be the older sibling, and still felt like he was the same young child he always was and acted accordingly. This definitely added to his cute factor, though he wasn't aware of it.

x x x Once the Junior was no longer looking directly at him, Peony felt leagues better. A blazer, huh? He had never heard of those, but it looked neat. Sort of like a suit jacket, but not quiet as formal. It reminded him of what Hawthorne wore. And, ironically, this was for the Fey hybrids brother! "M-my brother likes to wear clothes like that too. K-kind of fancy?"
Realizing that he hadn't given the stranger his name, Peony glowed even brighter as he twirled a strand of his hair with a finger, "S-sorry... W-where are my manners? My name is Peony. My brother is named Hawthorne. Uhm..." Okay now what? What could he say? He needed to say something.
".... I think I like more delicate looking things." It was mumbled softly, but the fey probably heard it, considering how close Peony was standing to him, "Like dresses and skirts and flowing layers..."

Keriga felt his cheeks glow more brightly, suddenly feeling very stupid. He hadn't exactly asked his brother what he wanted to wear, but now that the Freshling brought it up he probably should have. He frowned, staring at the cloth in his hands, wondering if his brother was going to hate it since he hadn't even asked his opinion. "I... actually... don't... even know... if h-he'll like... it..." He let out a light sigh, not sure if he should really continue making it. "His... name is Alexander.... I-I'm.... Keriga... I... have another... brother... whose name... is A-Aodh..."
He turned and looked at the Freshling, his head moving to one side to take a closer look at him. "I think... you-your.. flowers... are really pretty! So is-is... your skirt." He tried to paste on a small smile so that the kid knew he wasn't lying. He wasn't quite brave enough to wear things like that yet, not that he wanted to tell the Freshling that, he didn't want to scare him away from doing whatever he wanted to do. Keriga was still very much afraid of what people thought about him, and he didn't want the other kid to live like that if he didn't have to.
