Reading: Though it may seem boring to most, reading is how Alister gets his escape from the present world. His favorites are Adventure or even Historical novels. And the older, the better. His library has a vast collection of all kinds of books from varying time periods. Only people he has come to trust implicitly are allowed to even come near his library. So anyone who gets invited inside should consider it an honor of the highest.

Gardening: As for his garden, he plants all kinds of flowers ranging from lilies to orchids, and plenty have won their own small awards here and there. His favorites are his roses, deep and vibrant red. Taking extra care to trim them when they need it and take care of any new bushes he has growing with extra careful hands. It's pretty interesting seeing him in the garden, his attention and caring for the flowers is remarkable.



Virtues:

Tactful: Alister has more charisma than he knows what to do with, but that's not to say he let's anything slip out of his mouth. He always chooses his words the best way possible in order to build trust with whoever he might be working with. Even if he doesn't really like the other, he's certainly not going to tell them to their face. That would simply be rude. Though that's not to say that he hasn't said anything crass when the timing is proper. He just simply knows when to keep his mouth shut.

Reliability: He doesn't know when to stop and will not stop until he gets what he needs to done. Using his natural charisma, he will even rally others around the effort to get things done. If no one else can do it though, he will find a way. There will be nothing that will stop him getting things done. This reliability makes him a pretty decent person to give important tasks to.

Integrity: A moral compass is something Alister is certainly not lacking. For all of his vanity and anger, he doesn't like when someone goes against their word. To him that is the highest disgrace. If you say you are going to get something done, or you believe in something, you had better not turn your back on it in his presence. He will call you out on it. And you will not like it.



Flaws:

Humourless: He doesn't really find anything funny. Tell him a joke and he probably won't understand why it's funny in the least. Try and get him to laugh at something silly happening, it will simply be seen as a waste of time. This can be something that makes it harder for people to be around him, but he just doesn't get it. There is just no point in laughing at something when it isn't funny.

Short Fuse: Alister can be plenty patient with others, but even with all of his charisma, he has his limits. Those who are thick headed and plain dim witted drive him crazy and he has no tolerance for them. This also means that he has no problem snapping at someone who simply doesn't get it, yelling at them as loud as he can. Sometimes he will stop himself and walk away, but this is rather few and far between. It's really just best to try and understand him the first time and not get him angry. There is no turning back once he thinks you dim and you have made him mad.

Vainglory: Just as one would think from looking at him, Alister is as vain as can be. He believes that being in his presence should be something that others are in awe of and should think of as a honor in and or itself. This isn't to say that he tells everyone this wherever he goes. He wouldn't allow himself to be so crass, but anyone in his presence can tell that he is everything. That everything he does and says is perfect and should be idolize as such. If anyone were to say anything different, well, let's just say you shouldn't.

Alister looks pretty good, I just have a few things to go over with you so we can get him moving onward and upward into Destiny City~!

The reading hobby looks great, I have only a burning interest to know more about how he started his personal library, how he got interested in reading, and basically more information about it -- and not in a moderator sense! XD It would be neat to see more of it in the profile, but it's not necessary at his point.

For the Gardening hobby, I must recommend you remove the gender-derrogatory part(s) as they merely detract from the profile while insulting the female gender and implying that being femme is somehow lesser when I am certain that was not anywhere near your intent xD. Expressly, I'm speaking of the section "Plenty of guys...them to the ground." Other than that, it is an absolutely glorious hobby!

With the virtues and flaws, they're really well thought out for the most part, but you have a bit of a conflict with the 'honorable' virtue and the 'charismatic' flaw (silver tongued, very nice). Being silver tongued has him, by definition, whispering "sweet nothings" in a woman's ear - those are lies -- yet his 'honorable' virtue states that he would "never lie, cheat, or steal". You will need to resolve this discrepancy before his civ side can be approved - by changing either flaw or virtue entirely, or rewording the way the flaw/virtue is defined to suit better.

Powered side - at the time of this critique Yakushima is available as a Wonder! (This may change at the time of acquisition, so you will need to double check availability at that time!)

Unfortunately, I can't critique more on the powered side, as the link for the reference no longer works? But being mostly CC it should be fine to work out with your artist at the time! You will need to work out Yakushima's actual magic before the powered side can be properly marked as well - what does his squire and knight magic do? What power of Earth is channeled or activated through his wand/staff? Is it a buff? Debuff? Is it an attack magic? If you would like some help brainstorming, I'd be happy to assist you - just let me know!

The suggestions I've made for Alister are just that - suggestions. You don't have to take them precisely as I've lain them out - however, the issues I've pointed out will need to be corrected before we can get him stamped properly! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - the powered side of knights is always such a kerfluffle!

I love the way you've reworked his civlian side, it absolutely seems to work better for him as a rounded out character. I do think that for the virtue "reliablity" what you're actually going for is "driven" as he seems to be driven to complete tasks and find a way to get what he wants/needs done - that does lend well to making him a reliable person, but the core of that virtue would be that he's a driven person, rather than reliable.

For the 'vainglory' flaw I just want to clarify - since you hint at it - that he reacts very poorly to those that don't share in his high opinion of himself? Does it make him angry, violent? Or are we talking more subtle means of 'getting even'? (I'm mostly curious about this, it could be something that plays out in RPs rather than just on the profile itself).

For Yakushima's powered side:

Am I correct in my interpretation that the top is to be basically a side fastening coat with an ornate collar like the one from the art put atop it like a capelet? That would be fine.

Earth knight themes are honor, virtue, and nature, so the magic that accompanies his weapon should follow suit and touch on at least one of these themes. With that in mind, here is a suggestion for potential magic/effects:

Squire: Yakushima channels his magic through the wand and sprouts start growing out of the person’s clothes. The longer the magic, the more covered in green they become.

Magic pool is 30 seconds.

Knight: Yakushima channels his magic through the wand and sprouts start growing out of the person’s clothes. The longer the magic, the more covered in green they become. At this stage the greenery is poisonous, making the target sick based upon coverage.

Magic pool is 50 seconds.
