Ok so it didn't really matter that she'd been in the Negaverse for... what? A few months now? Lexi still hated working out. It was a pain, it was annoying... and it so wasn't as fun as powering up into Spectrolite and running around the city like that.
Groaning, Lexi plopped down on the dry grass, chest heaving a bit under the tank and sports bra. The bright pink sneakers matched the racing stripe on her otherwise black workout pants, and the black sports bra with skulls wearing pink bows was rather visible under the loose black tank. She'd at least motivated herself out of her dorm room that Saturday morning with the cute outfit, and out to the track field to actually... well, try to work out a bit. She'd stretched, and got a few laps around the track done but...
Well. Her motivation to continue was um. Kinda nonexistent.
"How do people stay constant with this stuff?" Her whine was to no one in particular, though she'd half a mind to text Jericho to harass him to help her out--and then quickly thought better of it. It was one thing to harass him as Spectrolite harassing Seraphinite, but somehow she doubted he'd be very willing to lend her a hand as a civilian--even if she knew who he was, and that he went to the same school.
So. What was plan B?

Thump thump thump thump...the sound of Lucy's feet hitting the track in perfect synchrony with her heart beat made her feel weightless, like an airplane with its wheels almost light enough to leave the ground behind and take flight. That's three laps down, one to go for a mile. She peaked at her watch in timer mode, 00:07:45. Not going to break an 8 min mile today she thought to herself, somewhat disparagingly. She might be able to squat her body weight in the gym but her endurance was s**t... at least for a fitness junkie like herself. As she neared the end of her final lap, she caught the blur of a girl sitting off the side of the track and giving one final push of energy she crossed the starting line and jogged to the grassy border to take a seat beside her.
"9-25, uuhff" she exhaled, slightly annoyed at how out of breath she sounded after only one mile. Picking up her water bottle which lay nearby, she noticed the girl again, still pleasantly surprised even after being at Romano's since the fall that other people would be exercising as an extracurricular activity. At her old high school it was viewed as anything but cool to be active... unless of course you were tackling an opponent to the ground or sinking a ball into a net.
"Oh I love your sports bra, it's so cute!" she commented when she caught her breath a little. She made it a goal of hers to always make an effort to meet new people, even if it never amounted to anything more that a quick conversation. And besides, she really did love anyone who could put a cute look together, especially for what is considered by most a task which requires no fashion effort whatsoever. Her own outfit was fairly typical of her point of view in fact-- a black and teal matching bra and legging set with cutouts on the side and tied together with ribbon like details. It was sort of ballet-esce to be honest, but being cute and breathable made it perfect for running track too, she reasoned ( and not to mention showing off her hard-earned abs). "Hi, I'm Lucy by the way."
