They didn't get a lot of guests over. Usually they wanted something from Rep. Or Rep had done something terrible. So when this was a combination of those things, Harrison couldn't say he was surprised.
He didn't like the idea of Carl living with them. For one, he got real nervous around authority. And when he got nervous, he got sweaty. And he had already changed his shirt twice by the time they came around to the door, and for some reason had three bag fulls of baby carrots (only baby carrots) piled precariously in the middle of their coffee table.
Harrison wiped his hands on his pants, in case Carl wanted to shake them, although it was a kind of lost cause.
He greeted him with a stiff, "Hello, sir," with only brief eye contact and a secret, frantic look at Rep. His shirt probably was due for a third change.

"You don't need to be so formal with everyone Ace." Rep butted in, giving Harrison a look that he hoped said STOP GIVING AWAY HE'S OUR BOSS. Instead he headed over to the couch and sat down, turning on the huge flatscreen on the wall.
The whole room - or rather set of rooms was kitted out extravagantly. Two hunter incomes and no real outgoings meant that Rep could afford the place to be quite the penthouse, they had a hottub in the large bathroom, had a large bedroom, kitchen area and seating area. There were a lot of computers and runiced tech including the aforementioned television, everything was draped in fur and there were fur rugs.
They looked endangered.
"The couch is a foldable bed, it's really comfortable, you can sleep there if you want, it's more fancy than most places and there's the tv and books if you need them."
He turned on a movie out of habit, it looked like one of the newer James Bonds.
"Make yourself at home."
He eyed the carrots. "Why the ********?" he said.

'Carl' looked just as perplexed as Harrison, looking at him, then Rep, then Harrison again. "Hello, sir," he began formally, thinking it was some sort of attachment to a greeting now.
There was a long pause as he took all of this in, from the spy movie, to the taxidermy, to the furniture, to the baby carrots. "Am I... being kidnapped?" At some point Mark had given him a copy of Gale's old trainee jacket and he was still holding it in his arms, wringing it nervously.

"What! No!" Harrison said, looking extremely alarmed, "No sir! ...No, uh," He completely blanked. Was there a word that was the opposite of sir, "not sir," he tried, looking at Rep for clues.
He latched desperately onto the distraction Rep had provided.
"Look! A television!" Kids liked TV, right? What about kids who were bosses?
"Do we have a show, like, The Apprentice, but with learning about shapes?"
He rearranged the carrots, but it didn't look any less less like a pile.
"They're a snack," he said, trying not to raise his arms because all the fabric under them was wet.

Rep had never seen Harrison act the way he was currently acting and he wasn't sure if he was all right.
"No." Rep said. "It's not kidnap, I mean, you aren't allowed to leave the island right now or you'll get killed but as long as you are on the island you can go wherever you like." Maybe it was a bit like kidnap but Carl had signed up for it same as everyone else he had to assume. "You chose this, you just don't remember." he said.
"You don't need to live here though if you don't want to. But I promise he's not usually so weird." he said, gesturing at Harrison as if saying it would make it true. "You'll get used to it, all you need to do right now is relax man, is there anything you like to eat? I can even go pick up takeaway if you want sushi or something we don't have."

Carl looked at the television and then back at Harrison. "It's a nice television?" He finally suggested, having literally no standards of what televisions should look like unless they meant the ones that were currently nearing extinction in the existing timeline.
He listened to Rep as attently as a teenage kid could and then furrowed his eyebrows a bit. "Do I still have to go to school here - I mean assuming I can't unchoose what I chose and I'm stuck here." And now he was doing the weird looking around thing again, doing another scan of the room before holding up his coat. "Um, where should I hang this?" A pause. "Can I also use the washroom?" Pause. "Please."

"School?" Harrison repeated, and it just added one more problem on top of his pile of worries.
"Y-yeah, I'll get...J-Jordan would know about this stuff right? I should call him-" He took his phone dazedly out of his pocket, stared at it long enough for an echo of misery to make its way through the haze of doom, and put it away.
"I'm not going to call Jordan," he decided. "H-here, I'll take your coat. s**t, where do- sorry, I mean, crap," he substituted, "Rep," he whispered, realising that no part of the apartment was kid-proofed, "am I supposed to put....plastic...somewhere? Like on drawers. Or....desk edges."

"No more school." Rep said. "Whether that's good or bad is up to you really. You are stuck here though, that's pretty much non-negotiable, like I said if you go off island there are like, these guys who will hunt you down and kill you. Your family too, if you have any." It was really positive.
"Ace, he's not ******** five." he said, starting to get tetchy. "He's no that much younger than you." Because in Rep's mind, Harrison would always be twenty but act about seventeen. He didn't bother to correct the comment about Jordan.
"You can hang your coat over there." and he gestured to a rack of hooks which had all manner of coats hung up on them, either short and sassy with loud neon colours or long, fur trimmed and slightly bloodstained. Thankfully some of the hooks were empty.
"Bathroom's over there." he said, gesturing. The bathroom was mercifully clean, as clean as a bathroom owned by two men could ever be and sported a huge hot tub and a shower which had to have costed a hearty slice of someone's pay cheque.

Carl seemed to be taking a long, long time in the washroom. About fifteen minutes had passed.
If they finally checked the, he was gone, the main door to their room wide open.

Harrison stared out into the hallway. Already he was starting to get control of himself, although he was still soaked. The bosses (in any form) just made him nervous.
"Too late for a baby gate, huh?"

Rep sighed heavily as Cael snuck right out. "He's really good at that." he said. "He just ******** creeps around like some kind of ******** scary cat."
He had one job and he'd probably ******** it up already. He slumped over to Harrison and rested his head exhaustedly on his shoulder. "He doesn't remember." he said. "So stop worrying. He does need our help though. If we don't help him things will be a lot ******** worse around here. You've seen what H likes to do to me."
He gave Harrison's hand a squeeze before letting go again.
"Lets go find Carl. I guess."

Rep eyed his buzzing phone and showed it to Harrison before replying. Text from Rep Look. He snuck out, he's as slippery as ******** always. I'm going to try and fid him. Just make sure the portals are shut, hopefully he doesn't run into any ******** nutters. You get many calls on that machine?
