For a few moments, Kadyrelite amused herself by huffing into the cold air and watching as her breath swirled and misted away into the night. It was a brief, relaxing moment in the midst of a maelstrom. Inside, she could feel Strytha writhing unhappily and reached up to gently brush her fingertips against her breastbone.
"Patience," she murmured. "I don't know who'll answer my request for some sparring, but they'll be here soon."
Another irritable writhe. Kadyrelite winced and wondered, somewhat wistfully, if her sternum would ever be normal again.
We should be out hunting little Kadyrelite's precious cousin, the youma spat out. We should be destroying the abomination.
"How many times so I have to tell you, I know how hard Melian can hit normally. I don't want to go up against that, but enhanced by senshi magic. I need to be better at fighting so she can never get the drop on us again."
There was a sense of grudging agreement as the youma twined and settled. Smiling slightly, Kadyrelite resumed huffing into the night air. Whoever would answer her call would be there soon.

It was time for another sparring/training session for Arseno. Sure, he really should be out and fighting the White Moon, but he wanted to be prepared for it first. Unfortunately he was a bit late as this semester he had some classes that ran later, and he hoped that his sparring partner wouldn't be too annoyed.
He finally felt a bit more comfortable in his powered form, willing to stay longer in it to be able to travel where he needed to go. And tonight that helped him get to the location faster than he would have if he had had to walk.
Sparring was good, but he wondered if he was learning anything from it. So far he still felt quite far behind on being able to fight anyone, let alone being able to do well in battle against an enemy. He took a quick pause to breath in and sigh, trying to get his mind back onto sparring. He would get better. That's all he could do.
He finally got to Kadyrelite's location and landed a bit away from her. "Sorry for being late. I had some... things come up." She probably had sensed him coming, but he hadn't wanted to spook her either by landing right next to her.

Nodding in approval at the newly come officer's manners, Kadyrelite smiled and bit back a chuckle as Strytha murmured praise in her mind.
So polite. Strytha approves of this one. Politeness is a lost art.
Holding out a hand, Kadyrelite approached the officer, staring unabashedly at his uniform. It wasn't often that she saw plague doctor masks outside of a Halloween store.
"Things happen, you've apologized, it's all good. I'm Kadyrelite and this," she struck her hand lightly against her chest, prompting the tracker youma to writhe visibly under the skin and bone of her chest. "Is Strytha. Strytha likes to take over my voice and issue advice sometimes, so please don't be alarmed."
Almost immediately, a low, hissing voice issued from Kadyrelite, sounding mildly petulant and darkly amused all at once. "Little Kadyrelite has spoiled our fun. How else is Strytha supposed to get the sweet child's measure if we are not allowed to frighten him?"

Arseno nodded in reply and shook the offered hand. His mind wandered a bit, wondering if she was cold in the uniform she was in. Perhaps he was just not used to the cold here like everyone else was.
His eyes widened in surprise as she introduced the youma. He had only read up on such things happening, ever since he had been informed that one could be turned into a youma, so it was a bit of a surprise to actually see it in front of him.
However, with Kadyrelite's warning, he wasn't as surprised to hear the youma's voice come out of her. He raised an eyebrow in interest. "Interesting. I've never actually encountered this before outside of reading about it. Thanks for the warning though." He replied, chuckling a bit, though keeping his guard up just in case. Kadyrelite seemed okay, but Strytha certainly seemed to want to do... more.

Smiling a little wanly, Kadyrelite nodded and clinked her spurs against the ground. For whatever reason, she'd decided to be as close to considerate as she ever got.
"Strytha can't hurt or touch you directly. So really, unless it shouts out truly bad advice or simple heckling, feel free to ignore it. However, I've found that it generally wants me to do well, so the advice, while harsh at times, is often quite useful. Now," she continued, her voice taking on a hard, eager edge, "I'm assuming that you need fighting practice as well. So, shall we do this thing?"
Grinning a little, she whirled in a kick, aiming for the beak-tip of his mask. Not to harm, but well. It made such a tempting target!

Well, that's interesting. Arseno thought to himself as Kadyrelite told him about what Strytha could do. He would have to look more into this youma stuff. "Well, I suppose that's pretty useful then." Though he also assumed that it could also be incredibly annoying if you were just wanting to have a peaceful day to yourself and the youma wouldn't shut up.
He only got to nod in return before she threw a kick at him. He barely managed to dodge the kick, moving his head down and silently summoning his weapon, and swinging it in return.DaisyMilk I'll try to let him get his a bit more sweatdrop

Why did you tell him so much, little idiot? You gave away what could be a valuable tactic!
Ignoring the youma's chiding, Kadyrelite grunted slightly as the other's staff connected with her side. All right. So maybe aiming a kick so high had been a mistake, but this dude was on her side. She wanted to give him a chance to give as good as he got. Which, judging by the soreness in her side, he was managing just fine.
Still, she wanted to be able to get at least one good knock in. Grinning, she dropped low and swung her leg out, intending to catch him behind the ankles and knock him off his feet. Or at least off balance enough for her to bring fists into play.
SSBrosB No worries! His weapon is just a sort of staff, yes?

He had managed to hit her, that was good at least. However, before he knew it, he was being knocked off his feet by a leg sweep. He tried to angle himself so that he wouldn't hit the ground so hard, but he would definitely have to remember to keep an eye out for those leg sweeps. This wasn't the first time he had been taken down by one.
However, he didn't take any time to pause and instead tried to roll away and get up as quickly as he could before she could attack again, trying to make sure that he dodged any kicks that she could send at him.DaisyMilk Well it's a fire poker so it can stab, but we don't want to be doing that to fellow agents now do we? Rather than trying to kick, Kadyrelite laughed outright and threw herself at the other officer, vague ideas of pinning him floating through her mind. She had to admit that he was certainly very good at dodging. And given his weapon gave him a greater reach, he was in a fair way to being a decent fighter.
Less silliness and more action, child, Strytha murmured sharply. Had you not spoiled the surprise, we might have shocked him still.
Okay, the youma was still grumpy. Good to know.
SSBrosB It is nice to not be stabbed, yes. XD

Once Arseno was done rolling, he put his weapon in front of him, business end up. Sure, it could probably be knocked away, but it might give him the opportunity to get up without getting knocked over again.
He tried to get up as quickly as he could, though that was a bit hard in the outfit he was wearing. Of course, now that he could teleport he could try doing that but... he hadn't really even thought about it.DaisyMilk As you can tell, I have no idea what to do in a fight

Yelping a little as she threw herself to the side at the last minute to avoid being stabbed, Kadyrelite felt her hip wrench and hissed softly. Ah, balls. That was going to make fighting harder.
Then sweet Kadyrelite must learn to fight smarter. If the boy has the advantage physically, outwit him. Confuse him. Oh, why was Strytha saddled with such an idiot?
"Love you too, little beast," Kadyrelite hissed from between clenched teeth. Fight smarter and confuse him, hrmm? Pausing a moment to study the other Captain, Kadyrelite was struck that they both knew how to teleport. But she'd been in this location long enough to nose about. He hadn't. Maybe there was a way for her to win this.
Not that she was supposed to be worrying about winning so much as simply improving. Grinning suddenly, she wiggled her fingers in a cheerful wave at him before blowing a kiss and teleporting to just directly behind him.
"Boo!"
All she had to do was teleport just enough to keep him off balance.
SSBrosB It's cool! When it comes to Kady, I really don't either. XD

Arseno paused a bit as he heard her talking to herself. Must be that youma. He figured that she wasn't just crazy considering that he had seen what the youma could do. They could probably communicate easily enough without him hearing it either.
However, as he had been distracted, he barely noticed her teleporting before he was surprised at her appearing behind him. Instinctively he swung his weapon out while turning around. It seemed that she knew how to teleport. She had a bit of an advantage in this situation then.
But... he knew she couldn't keep it up forever. If she was a general he might have more trouble, but he knew that while captains could teleport, they lost more energy doing so.DaisyMilk Sorry that took so long XD

Grunting in pain as the other's weapon swung out and caught her directly in the gut, Kadyrelite held up a hand in surrender. She hadn't thought he'd be able to react that fast!
"Whoa," she wheezed. "You win."
Feeling Strytha grumbling, Kadyrelite ignore the youma for the moment, waiting for her gut to stop aching enough for her to stand upright. Smiling a little at the other Captain, she threw a salute.
"Well done. And, if you don't mind, I'm gonna call it a night for now. You pack a wallop with that fancy stick of yours."
Reaching out, she clapped the other on the shoulder before winking and teleporting away. It was, at the least, a better exit than hobbling off in pain.

Arseno had been surprised when she decided to stop fighting, though he supposed he had done enough that she was satisfied with their little sparring session. He nodded to her as she teleported away and wondered if they could spar again sometime.
But he had to go anyway, he had classes to study for and he needed to go and talk to his brother about getting together sometime soon.DaisyMilk Wanted to do an ending post XD Thanks so much!
