Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?

Tempest was raised significantly stricter and more sheltered than her late brother, Gale. She had been given enough incentive never to mention the strange shadowy things she saw as she grew older, not after hearing stories about her 'disturbed' older half-brother who'd been offloaded onto another relative, and eventually died young. Those few times they had met before he passed away had been fraught with a sense of unease and worry.

Tempest had to face her fears alone, and the nagging feeling she may too have been going insane all along. Practical as ever, Tempest tried all manner of folk remedy to her shadow problem, from salt circles to iron to burnt sage. While her family slowly deteriorated in the background, Tempest began to do her own quiet research into the sighting of shadows and how to rid herself of them once and for all. No such answers were available on the internet, but the watchful eye of a secret organization was. And the opportunity to learn her brother's true fate - and to alter her own - was impossible to pass up.
