Tres fashionabluuuh - As with most preteen and teenage girls, Kalani is obsessed with high fashion and looking good, except she takes it to the next level. Even as a child, instead of playing pretend by dressing up in her mother's clothes, Kalani has been perpetually obsessed with keeping up with the latest trends and being stylish. She likes to pay close attention to what the models are wearing on the runway, reading all the fashion magazines she can get her hands on for an idea as to what's "in style", and harassing begging her mother, a seamstress, to make her new clothes based on the photos.
Slacking off - When presented with the question of 'working hard or hardly working?' the answer will always be 'hardly working' when it comes to Kalani. She's a slacker at best, always looking to pass off the hard work onto someone else, and dodging responsibilities like they were last season's fashions. Unless there's a suitable bribe, things just do not get done when it falls on Kalani to do them.
Fishing - Essentially one of the only things Kalani will actually put any time and effort into doing. Admittedly, it gets boring at times, and disappointing when the fish don't bite, and she really dislikes going outdoors during the summer when it's all hot and sunny and the weather overall is determined to make her melt, but... in the end... fishing is actually something Kalani otherwise really enjoys. She prefers to leave the actual cleaning and preparing of the fish for cooking to someone else, though.
Virtues:
fake it until you make it -- Kalani considers herself to be a people person, or at least someone that knows how to work a crowd and say the right things. In order to be popular, one must know these things, after all. It could be said that lying is bad, and that one shouldn't sugar coat things, but Kalani feels that the quickest way to get in someone's good books is to tell them what they want to hear. Alternatively, if that doesn't work, especially in situations where she is demanded to pick a side to take, Kalani knows how to word things in a way to where both parties feel as if they are coming out of this winning. Is it deceitful? Maybe, but why don't you mind your own business, huh?
tenacious -- To be Kalani requires a certain amount of stubbornness and refusal to budge on certain subjects, despite her nitpicky nature. She has a set of beliefs she holds steadfast to, and will continue to pursue regardless, stopping at nothing to achieve her goals. Deep down, Kalani believes that she will get what she deserves, in the end.
Independent -- As an only child, or more specifically, the only child of a single parent ever since her father walked out on the family two years ago, Kalani considers herself to be a fairly self-sufficient person, capable of taking care of herself and not needing an adult's supervision or assistance. While too young to legally hold a job (not that she'd want one), Kalani has been more or less 'supporting' herself in a sense of speaking,
mr. worldwide -- Kalani is a confident person, possibly to the point of being prideful, though she would insist that it isn't a bad thing. She's confident, she's witty, she knows how to outplay people at their own game... Kalani has high self-esteem, always confident that she'll meet her personal goals in life without trouble. In that aspect, Kalani strives to be seen as one of the 'cool kids'.
Flaws:
Self-centered -- The world revolves around Kalani, and no one else. She thinks highly of herself in general, and will take statements implying anything else to be highly offensive. She's also somewhat of a troll...at least on the internet (though also somewhat offline as well). Kalani doesn't really have much of a sense of personal shame; she does not feel sorry for things she said or did, does not get embarrassed as much as her pride is wounded...which probably is the same thing, etc. She just...overall thinks of herself as nothing short of awesome.

Lazy -- Kalani is seemingly allergic to the concept of putting an effort into anything. At times, it seems she puts more effort into the act of dodging responsibilities than what would have been required for the task itself. She spends a lot of time loafing around outside of school, sleeping in on weekends and holidays and otherwise not putting any into going outside and doing things other than maybe fishing, the one outdoor activity she can be bothered to really care about.
It's j o k e -- Kalani likes to think herself a comedian, but she's more of a prankster, and dishonest to boot. A little white lie or two never hurt anyone, right? To be a people person, in Kalani's opinion, one has to stretch the truth a little every now and then, to say the things they want to hear. In daily life as well, Kalani isn't particularly known for her honesty. Yes, she did her homework, yes she completed the chores she was asked to do, and if you believe those, then she has a bridge she wants to sell you. She enjoys taking advantage of gullible people, finding amusement in watching them fall for her blatant lies.
Hold my beer -- Although normally a lazy person, Kalani can be convinced to do things with this one simple trick- insulting her pride or reputation. Desperate to keep up appearances of being cool and popular and awesome, Kalani can be pushed into doing things she wouldn't normally otherwise do, if her reputation is at stake. Additionally, because Kalani is so obsessed with looking cool and showing off, it's easy to talk her into pulling off some dumb and reckless stunts at times.
In the end, however, there are some things that Kalani ultimately can't be talked into doing, and homework is one of them. Sorry, she has you outplayed there.
