The old man smiled gingerly, hacking a soft laugh. "Young lady, young lady... you go awfully fast." With a shuffling gait he took a seat beside his counter. "I don't know anything of you and I never said I was looking for an apprentice." Drawing a jug of a thick, slushing liquid close to him, he gathered two cups from beneath the counter. He poured into both and pushed one towards the girl. "But I didn't say I wasn't. Tell me of yourself, where are you from?"

INDENTArina watched as the older gentleman pulled out a rather questionable looking liquid from behind the counter accompanied by two cups… for two people. The young girl bit her lip questioning what the proper reaction would be in this circumstance. She had her own water available in her knapsack but she also did not wish to appear rude. The young girl began to shuffle through her knapsack while she approached the counter and pulled a small loaf of bread and assorted cheeses from the sack lying them onto the counter top. This was a highly religious part of the country and usually that would imply that they were also superstitious, so it would appear awfully rude to completely decline the drink, “I was just curious if that was alcoholic? If so, only just a few sips for me please.” She thought that was a reasonable trade. She would drink only a few sips before returning to her own self provided water but also, she brought her own offering to this simple conversation which could prove to be valuable. INDENTThe only worry she had was that she was currently inside of a shop solely dedicated to selling herbs, tonics and solutions. It was very possible that she was walking into a trap but she was well aware without some form of risk, there was very little possibility of reward. The social stigma be damned in this situation. “I did say my name was Amara,” the young woman began the beginning of her lie but in order to keep it from being twisted and difficult to remember, she decided that she would coat the lie with a lot of truth and possibly just let him misdirect with his own assumptions. “My family is originally from the Land of Iron… After the shinobi war in the area ravaged the lands, my family was left homeless with a newly found need to move in order to survive. Ever since, I have been wandering and looking for my own place in life,” she pulled a few various books from her knapsack setting them onto the counter top. You could only see a few specific titles but there was a growing trend within the names and covers: a book dedicated to medicating salves, one on tonic solution theories for preventing poisons, and one with the names and many uses for each individual herb found throughout the country. INDENT“I have been studying to help people ever since the war that tore my lands apart. I can make many of the simple solutions and I am a hard worker. I want to be able to help people, even those vile men who came in here treating you like garbage because they don’t understand the copious amounts of good you do when you could just as easily use that same information to destroy them,” Arina said gingerly reaching out her hand to grab the now filled cup before looking up into the eyes of the older gentleman behind the counter. She raised the cup to her mouth taking a small sip before returning the cup to the counter exchanging it for a small piece of bread which she ripped off the corner. INDENT“How did you decide to go into this field of work,” Arina questioned pushing her hair to the side. She was unaccustomed to it being able to get into her way so often. She missed her very generic ponytail; it worked so efficiently in the field but when she changed her outfit for this area, the young girl decided that she wanted to look the complete opposite of her usual self. Her mother helped her pick out a few rather girly outfit pieces which assembled together quite nicely, though it left Arina most uncomfortable. Arina[1942 + 627 = 2569 Word Count]

As the girl drank the liquid she would find her body feeling revitalized and strengthened. By the time she finished talking the old man would have dozed off into a deep slumber, however a young man dressed in black robes that sported red ornate design walked in. "Hello.. um.. I was looking for a particular herb... is this a bad time?" The man asked hesitantly, a gentle smile brightening his features.

INDENTArina looked over to realize that the older gentleman had seemingly fallen asleep during her portion of the conversation; she let a small smile escape her lips that the liquid was actually an intuitive tonic which was revitalizing and probably necessary for the older gentleman to keep up with his work. She tried to imagine herself and where she would be after she was too old to continue her life as a shinobi but really, were you ever too old to continue your life as a shinobi as a medic? You might not be able to be on the forefront of the field anymore but medical ninjutsu was always acceptable and used in safe institutions like the hospitals, as well. INDENTArina placed a slice of cheese into her mouth and began to chew. While she was happily munching, the young woman heard the door open behind her followed by a voice inquiring about the shop. Still chewing, she turned around to face the newest addition to the shop. The young woman quickly realized that she was the only herbalist currently available at the shop. She turned to glance at the old man still sleeping behind her and looked back to the newer gentleman with wide eyes attempting to quickly chew the rest of what was in her mouth. “I could help you,” the young woman managed to spit out while chewing the final piece of cheese within her mouth, “What herb are you looking for and what are the intended uses? I might even be able to help you pick out something more efficient for the task or cheaper – because cheaper is always better right?” INDENTArina studied the young man as he wore a very intricate and distinctive looking robe. Meanwhile, she moved over to the counter top trying to familiarize herself with the set up that the older gentleman had arranged on the shelves in front of her. [2569 + 319 = 2888 Word Count]

The man had pale bronze hue about his skin, his hair a raven black and bright green eyes. He stood almost six feet tall and was well built, despite the sense of frailty he exuded.
Smiling he glanced over her shoulder and noticed the old man sleeping. Chuckling, he gestured to the old Man, "Having a good nap, is he? There was a tonic that he prepares that is meant to revitalize one's body, a servant of mine has most of the ingredients but a special herb. I don't know precisely what it is... I suppose I'll come back later."

INDENTArina smiled quietly listening and trying to absorb all of the details of what was going on around her. ‘He mentioned a servant. That implies being in a position of power,’ she furrowed her eyebrows deep in thought. Despite being so well kept, he obviously was still rather physically active from his physique. At first, she thought perhaps the Irikura but he had none of the makings having bronze skin and green eyes. That being said there were plenty of options for nobles and highborn… For some reason, he seemed different than your average highborn. INDENT“It was so sudden! I actually was sharing a drink of that particular tonic and it is life changing,” Arina exclaimed wide eyed in response to the man standing before her trying to keep him there long enough to figure out how to proceed. It was getting rather late, so she could not possibly expect him to stay and wait for the herbalist to stay and while she had tried the tonic… she still was not confident in what the ingredient mixture was by taste alone. While the herbalist was sleeping, there was no reason to remain and waste precious time that she could be out accumulating information. It was decided. INDENT“I would still love to help in any way that I can,” Arina announced walking over to the counter to return the books from the countertop back safely nestled away into her pack. Once inside, she secured the strap across her body to make sure that it was positioned comfortably. “I could accompany you and perhaps take a list of the ingredients you already have,” the young girl suggested smiling brightly, “It is getting rather late and I do intend on coming back tomorrow. I refuse to give up on the apprenticeship position and I am rather stubborn when I really want something.”INDENT“My name is Amara by the way,” the young girl held out her hand patiently waiting for a returned handshake. “May I be so bold as to ask your name,” Arina questioned rather boldly while wearing a rather cute, inviting smirk on her face. As the man was about to speak, the city alarm began to wail. For a moment something about his appearance shifted but it was subtle and for only the briefest of moments. Frowning, mouth agape, the man turned to the girl. "You're going to have to come with me.." The friendliness drained from his voice, nor was he exuding the frail, shyness from before. Instead the man stood tall and imposing, his body directly barring the exit.

INDENTSomewhere above in the cavern tops a wailing sound began to signal some sort of reaction from the male who entered the establishment. Arina quickly covered her ears and winced from natural reaction. She looked up when the man spoke briefly to her and changed his demeanor. ‘Things had been going so well,’ she frowned a little bit but decided to sulk later. INDENT“Err…,” Arina trailed off while wondering what that alarm meant and why this man suddenly was so aggressive. “Okay? I do not see why not… I am admittedly confused but can I at least ask what that alarm means? Should we be worried about danger,” the young girl had so many questions and so many different scenarios running through her mind at that moment. While he had become imposing, she could only imagine it was natural with the alarm going off in the background. INDENTDespite all her questions, the young girl figured that if she took her time waiting for a response that would only worsen whatever the current situation was. She tightened her grip around her shoulder strap to try to calm her nerves and stepped forward meekly in front of the man. “How should we travel,” Arina asked questioningly, since he obviously did not want her to leave before him but it would be interesting to criminalize her. INDENTEither way, she extended her arm with an open palm as a possible option. “I meant what I said about helping,” she quietly approached the subject of the alarm and hoping he might clue her in as to the meaning of that blasted alarm.

Kakone Exit to Holy Dungeons: Cell 1A The man watched her carefully, "There's an emergency in the city. A Hak'Vesh has been sighted within the walls." He said, stepping to the side to let her pass. "After you." On the other side of the door would be waiting a brigade of soldiers to arrest the young woman and bring her to the Holy Citadel.
