'Homes, markets, and structures of all kinds are built into the inside of the mountain. Most extend out from the rocky shelves of the mountain while others reach out from one wall to the other, built into what would've been natural bridges that hang over dangerous falls.

Shinken walked through the gates to the holy city of Aren. The place was big and impressive, but not the kind of place that was friendly to people like Shinken. Even though he knew that his secret was safe at least for the moment, he couldn’t help but feel some kind of social pressure on him. He felt so out of place in this city. It took him a few moments to get his bearings, but before long he had identified a place where information flowed like water. There was a Tavern not far away. The only reason the young Ninja knew that it was there was a drunkard stumbling out of the place and trying to make his way down the street. The young Uchiha thought it was odd that a man was drunk so early in the day. The man must have had serious problems. Well if the tavern was where people went to drown their worries and anguish then that would be where he would find rumors and information. It helped that alcohol tended to loosen lips.

Shinken put on his best confident walk and strolled over to the tavern. The patrons of the bar looked up at the strange newcomer and the tavern quieted down for a few moments. Shinken shrugged and went to sit down in one of the more bustling areas. After a few minutes of listening in on the conversations going on around him the young gennin was approached by a barmaid. He nodded to her and ordered a little bit of food. It would at least keep him from getting kicked out of the tavern for not spending any money. He didn’t like having to waste his currency so early, but this would help him get a feel for what was going on in town at the very least. Any mention of the rebels at all would have Shinken honing in on that particular conversation in an instant. Thanks to his ninja training he was able to pick apart the sounds of the bar, and isolate the speech of particular individuals. He was hoping for an early lead, but he knew better than to expect such a lucky break so early.

Michio had traveled quite some distance to reach the outskirts of the Holy City of Aren. When he had left the Village Hidden in the Sand, Shisara had prepared a number of non-perishable foods for him to take with him despite the fact that she was still upset at the fact he needed to go in the first place. The food was the kind that only needed water to become edible. And for that he was grateful, because the journey had been long and arduous. A couple of times, Michio had even been chased by some wildlife and had to outrun them. He'd almost completely depleted his food supply and only had one bottle of water and a few trail rations remaining. He would definitely need to restock on food and drink before proceeding with the mission.

He stepped into the entrance and looked around, wondering where he should start. He noticed that a good number of the people wandering around the area either had headbands of the village they belonged to, in this case the Village Hidden in the Stones, but others did not wear a signifying forehead protector. And they seemed to interact peacefully, much like the citizens of the Sand Village often did with the shinobi.

'Well... if I'm going to try and fit in, I should probably try to start looking like them.' he thought, and snuck off to an alleyway to make some style alterations. First, he removed his Hidden in Sand headband and stuffed it into his ninja tool pack. Next, he placed his ninja tool pack inside his travel pack, as having a ninja tool kit visible on your person is a clear sign that you're a ninja of some kind. And one without a headband could set off some red flags and attract unwanted attention.

Once he had removed all of the identifying signs that Michio was a ninja, he closed up the pack, placed his traveler's hat on his head, and slung the pack over his shoulder before leaving the alleyway.

The young Ketsueki looked around once again as he walked, seeking out somewhere he could get a hot meal and some refreshment. It didn't take him long to find the local watering hole, but when he walked in, he spotted Shinken sitting in a busy area. Hoping he wouldn't be seen, he pulled his hat down over his face and sat in a different area and waited for someone to come see if he needed anything.

Kaito's eyes opened wide upon entering the city of Aren, standing awestruck at it's features. He'd never laid eyes on anything of this sort, a city that was created within a mountain. It had it's own way of being beautiful, in a melancholy type of way. The boy scratched his head at the thought of building Aran from the bottom up. It surely had to take years of planning alone, it surely would have taken years upon years to build. "Man oh man... What a place!" Kaito mumbled quietly, wanting his words to go unnoticed. His headband was currently hidden within his right leg pocket, as he wanted to keep a low profile while on his mission. Upon scanning the area he noticed a slew of shinobi headbands all throughout the market place, surely these guys weren't doing any favors for themselves by attracting so much extra attention.

"H'mmm where should I start?" The boy slowly turned his head one side to another checking out the immediate area for possible starting points. His mission was to find some information on the rebel supporters and dispose of the one way or another, while being discreet about it. The only real problem there, Kaito wasn't very good at being stealthy, that was certain. On the other hand, his skillset consisted of having a silver tongue in a sense he could jump into a bar per say, and start bullshitting with the people within, and one way or another leave with the information he was looking for. And that was exactly what he would do. Directly ahead was a tavern, this is most certainly where the drunk wanted to start his journey.. Mostly because he wanted a drink for himself.

The genin slipped into the tavern making his way straight to the bar. There were ten seats in total, eight of them were filled with guys and one lady was sprinkled into the mix as well. Kaito took the lone seat directly inbetween two guys, ordered himself a drink and began chatting it up with the strangers at the bar. Surely he'd stumbled across the information he was looking for soon enough.

Juugou's jaw dropped when he first laid eyes on the majestic mountain range that housed the monolithic Holy Cities from the back of the horse-drawn cart. When the crow had flown in through his open bedroom window and landed on his arm he didn't expect to be traveling to such a location. None of the history books at the academy library made mention of this vast mountain range tucked in between the lands of Wind and Earth so it was a bit unnerving to be immersed in a culture apart from shinobi.

The young Aburame smiled as the cart began to ascend on up the mountainside. There were other children around his age traveling with their family on the cart and they all joined him on the side facing the arced bridge that would lead them to the gates of Aren, the city he was told to visit on his mission. Currently Juugou wore a desert traveling garb: a blue turban that he wrapped around his neck as well like a scarf, a white robe-like garment that went down to his calves, pants and a t-shirt that matched the robe underneath, and boots. Beneath the robe he also carried a traveling bag with his ninja tools in a secret compartment, water and the peculiar currency used in the Holy Cities known as Jakatas.

The cart now turned to cross the bridge, which spanned a great chasm. The other kids retreated to the safety of the center of the cart while Juugou remained where he was, wanting to capture as much of the trip as he could to keep it in his memory. The cart slowed to a halt right outside of the great gates. The driver got off and opened the door on the side so they could all climb down. Juugou paid the driver in Ryo from his bag and walked through the gates, noting how the guards made no move to stop him or the family that had arrived with him. Strange... he thought. Juugou bid farewell to his travel companions and walked deeper into the city, wondering where it was that he should begin his search.

Breathing deeply as she finally made it to the top of the stones steps up to the bridge that leads into the city, moving to the side to take a rest putting her hand up on the wall to keep herself stable as she rests, catching her breath as she did so, while standing there a person came up to her to check on her. "Hey are you alright?. The person coming up to her was wearing a pale brown robe, mainly used when traveling in deserts or around deserts in order to protect them from sand and temperature changes that happen in such places, but from the outline it was easy to see that they were a woman, and her face showed the signs of age, guessing Nisha put the woman in her late forties, she nodded to the woman as she finally caught her breath and was able to stand up. "Yeah I am not used to climbing stairs like that. Nisha said as she collected herself a little as she looked at the woman with a smile.

With a bright smile and matching green eyes she looked at the woman and held out her hand out to greet her. "Thank you for your concern, it is a pleasure to meet I'm Nisha". The woman smiled as the girl stood up and seemed to have recovered from her exhaustion of climbing the stairs up to the bridge rather then the path that carts came up with, the woman had taken notice Nisha because of the girls age along with her tiredness, the two of them moving back onto the road. "Oh pleasure to meet you Nisha-chan, I'm Esme, what brings you to Aren?, my husband and I are on a pilgrimage". Nisha smiled and walked with Esme as she returned to the road her husband Zu was holding two large bags hanging off his shoulders as he looked over at Esme and the new girl she had started talking with. "I am in the same boat, hmm cart, my mums family originally comes from these mountains, so I am taking a pilgrimage to see the city, I hear it is incredibly and has amazing stories of the past". Nisha said sounding like a giddy school girl on a field trip for the first time.

Esme smiled as she listened to Nisha going on about learning about the city and seeing the amazing sights of the holy city for the first time, while making themselves across the bridge Nisha took a moment to look over the edge an looked a little pale after doing so, making her way back to the center of the road, they finally made it across the bridge she let out a small sign of relief. walking together with Esme and Zu, until they reach the checkpoint Nisha was expecting to be taken off to one side while Esme and Zu were on another, to get their bags checked, however that didn't happen and all that needed to be done was paying the entrance fee to the guard taking care of the enterance, Nisha entered into the city itself, seeing the marvel of the spiraling city within the mountain, with bridges crossing from one side to another, some of which seemed really high and gave Nisha a moment to pause thinking about having to cross them if she wanted to see the city. 'Well first thing I need to do is fine a place to stay, maybe see if there is a central building I can visit to get some information'. She thought as she looked at one of the many sign posts point in different directions, to notable landmarks and places of the city, say goodbye to Esme and Zu as they headed off.

After staring blankly at the sign post for much longer then she would like to admit, Nisha has come to a concussion, she had no idea where to go, in order to get a nights rest, and signed heavily as she looked around the area she was in looking for someone that maybe able to help her, after a few moments of scanning the area she saw a pair of guards for the city, walking over to them she managed to get their attention. "Sorry about this, but I am new in the city and I am looking for a place to stay could I get a recommendation from you kind Sirs?".

INDENTArina sat on a caravan that was bustling with activity and excitement. The holy city was supposed to be one of the most magnificent sights in the area. The young girl would make her own determination upon realizing her destination. In the meantime, she chose to sit beside an older couple which mimicked the age of her own mother and father. “Hello,” she stated cheerfully to the older woman. At first, she did not seem to be aware that Arina was addressing her but upon realization quickly turned to face the young girl. “Are you here by yourself?” The older woman inquired thoughtfully. “I think my parents said that they would join me in a few days. My father had some important work to do before leaving the village. It’s no big deal though,” Arina nodded with a slight look of disappointment. She wanted to appear sincere in all of her interactions. “That is terrible,” the older woman said looking towards her husband for a moment. “How are you going to pay for your stay,” the woman questioned after looking terribly concerned for Arina and her well-being. “My father gave me a little bit of money to last me until they arrived. I should have enough for the trip, as well as lodging and eating. I might have to try to be conservative though. I would hate to run out like last time,” the young girl rolled her eyes and shook her head actually remembering a situation in which her father had short changed her for dinner one night which was woefully embarrassing.

INDENTThe cart finally came to an abrupt stop and Arina inhaled quickly in awe of the infrastructure which had been incorporated into the walls of a deep looking cavern. “Beautiful,” the woman muttered beside her in agreement. After taking a moment of silence to enjoy the scenery, the young woman ushered her off the cart while her husband went up front to pay for the ride. “I have to…,” Arina was interrupted while trying to pull away to pay the driver. “You need not worry. We covered your expenses,” the woman smiled down at her with such thoughtful and kind eyes. “Thank you so much,” the young girl bowed in appreciation, though admittedly that was part of her plan all along. “Oh silly, do not bow for me! We were happy to help. Would you like to walk with us? Where were you headed?” Arina got kind of embarrassed rubbing the back of her head attempting to look somewhat confused. “I remember my dad recommended somewhere to stay, but I do not remember the name admittedly…,” she trailed off looking down towards the ground avoiding eye contact. That is what a child traveling on their own would have done, right? She always second guessed her own actions but never seemed to have any trouble interacting either way, regardless of her fears.

INDENT“That is wonderful! You should definitely travel with us then,” the older woman prompted pushing the young girl forward while her husband had finally caught up to the two of them. He seemed awfully content and quiet just letting his wife lead the way. It was so different from what she seen of her own family. He was definitely the type to lead the household. He was not mean or angry, just strong and a figure head for her. She looked up to him entirely. Arina and the woman continued to chat back and forth. It was mostly just useless banter while they traveled the walkways to their destination which was a tavern but from what Arina understood from their conversation also doubled as a place of rest. “I actually want to go check out the area and see if there is anything fun to do,” Arina smiled brightly toward the lady who was heading towards the door. “We actually are going to check in and if you would like to meet us downstairs in the tavern in about two hours, we were going to grab something to eat,” the woman announced while her husband graciously opened the door for her. “That sounds great. I am hoping it should not take very long but…,” the young girl trailed off while turning her gaze towards the bounds of city which lie before her, “I am not for sure whether or not that is going to be physically possible.” Arina started to chuckle and the rest of them followed suit but there was certainly an assured amount of silent agreement behind the scenes. The three of them exchanged goodbyes and made plans to meet up at a later date in the tavern.

INDENTWith that, the young girl began to walk away from the building while the couple disappeared behind the tavern doors. Arina was a young girl on a mission and she had already had some specifics in mind for her destination. Walking through the rather daunting trails which were attached to the caverns walls and trailed high up into the sky beyond what you could entirely see. Trails of light were able to sneak down into the cavern bottoms but only in small amounts. Most of the lights were generated by the insides of the buildings while even few of the walkways had a source of their own. Everyone who lived here must have been very comfortable with their knowledge of the walkways to be able to walk in such dark, particularly at night when the moon had even less of a presence than the eternally bright sun. Arina had stopped and talked to a few of the villagers trying to locate somewhere in particular that would be of interest to her. She was sure that the rest of the shinobi would probably try to accommodate themselves at the local taverns and places popular with the town folk to gather information. Surely, they would eventually come across the information they desire but it could take hundreds, maybe even thousands of patrons. The worst part would be trying to weed out the useless information and to only catch what would be relevant to them and the mission. It was lucky for her that she had unusual skills which would easily integrate her into the environment and would bring a lot of information her way, as well… as long as this person would accept her as an understudy. This could even be a good experience for her to become more acquainted with ways to help her team without the assistance of ninjutsu.

INDENTArina stopped in front of one of the many buildings which were integrated into the infrastructure of the cavern walls. She took a deep breath before opening the door and allowing herself into the inside. There were a few people who were already inside. There was an older man who was working at a nearby table. He struggled with his age trying to reach for assorted herbs which were scattered throughout the shelves on the nearby wall. He had a workbench where he worked his mortar and pestle. His strokes were still fairly smooth considering his age and obvious struggles. Nearby lying on an old mattress which in her opinion should have quickly been discarded was a man in about his thirties groaning while holding his stomach and complaining of nausea amidst the silences in his groans. He held another hand on his forehead quickly collapsing into the fetal position on the mattress. The other two men in the room were obviously accompanying the old drunkard who was suffering the side effects of one too many drinks; at least that was the obvious conclusion. You could definitely smell the lingering effects of a night out enjoying whatever alcohol was available. “Hurry up… you old coot,” one of the men stated obnoxiously tapping his foot with annoyance. “This is why no one ever comes to this blasted place,” the other stated trying to be an echo for the first man, so he felt vindicated with his opinion and obnoxious behavior.

INDENT“Here,” the young woman walked over reaching towards the shelf for the vial that the old man had been originally trying to stretch to reach. You could see a smile in his eyes as he took the vial from her hands and giving a nod of appreciation. When he was finished, she placed the vial back into its original location. He steadily mixed the ingredients together with the mortar and pestle, once finished he placed the mixture into a cup of hot tea that he had already prepared in advance. He held the cup out towards Arina after he stirred the ingredients, “Could you hand it to the young man lying over there?” He instructed Arina before continuing to speak to the person in question, “You will have to drink the entire cup before you leave. It does not taste very good but it will help with a swift recovery.” Arina sniffed the concoction and it did smell absolutely disgusting. The man took the cup from her hands rather greedily and almost vomited from the smell alone. “You better not be messing around you old coot,” he said before plugging his nose and swallowing the liquid as quickly as he possibly could. Once finished, he threw the cup to the side roughly chipping the top and threw some money towards the old man before staggering out of the institution.

INDENT“Well… that was rude,” the young girl mumbled crouching down to pick up the coins for the older gentleman. Once she was finished, she stood holding the Jakatas out for him to easily recover. “Thank you,” he smiled while mindfully grabbing the money and stowing it away into a pouch on his hip, “how can I help you today?” The introduction could not have gone any smoother. She had definitely gotten lucky when she entered the building to such vile, disgusting men. On top of that, she was able to show the healer that she already had competence in the field! This was looking like a rather promising lead. She was glad to have followed her instinct. The young girl worked quickly to answer his question. She used her mother’s name so that she would have no problem responding when the name was called and it was familiar to her. She needed to get him to open up and accept her as a student, as well as try to familiarize herself with the situation going on in this part of the country. She tried to remain earnest and excited because no matter what the situation she was always excited to learn further about her role in healing and assisting the people she cared about, “No problem, sir! Actually… My name is Amara and I’m a traveling apprenticing herbalist and healer. I am currently looking for an environment where I might be able to thrive and expand upon my skills. I am not one to brag; however, I also do not want to sell myself short. I am a quick study and I am eager to learn even more than I have already learned on my own. I would make a promising apprentice. I promise! Also, I was curious about the area. Do you get those in need of medical assistance often? What kind of injuries should I expect to treat? To be honest during my travels, I had heard that there were a lot of ruffians and was hesitant to finish my voyage here.”

INDENTShe quietly waited for the older gentleman’s response. This would determine a lot of where her investigation would go from here and she was truly hoping to avoid the over used taverns and bars in the area.

”Hyaa!!” The boy sat on the seat of a wagon, whipping the horses forward as they traveled along the mountain path. He had fundamentally changed quite a bit since three months ago and receiving a mission along with all three of his team. Shun had found out he was part of the Inuzuka clan from Konohagakure, coming face to face with the seemingly feral wolf, Zarathos, who had been his father’s companion previously. Zarathos provided Shun with one of his older pups, Sha, to become his companion in order to be a fully fledged member of the Inuzuka clan. This newfound information led Shun to begin to adopt various animalistic qualities from sharpened canines and nails to his senses growing fundamentally as before. He had originally decided to grow his hair out to have a more ‘wild’ appearance, but decided to cut it back for this mission.

His team had come together, all three of them deciding to work together on this mission instead of separately. They fleshed their plan out further once they had been given more information along with their funds, which they pooled together. They would work a rather elaborate ruse that would gain them the fastest access into the city and should provide them with a wide variety of options to explore and gather information. Shun would be dressed as a merchant selling various trade goods from clothing, non-perishable food and medication. They would also have loaded a large number of crates filled with a special type of ‘medicine’ infused with the Toyotama chakra from both of his teammates, who would act as bodyguards for his small caravan. His main companion, Sha, sat on top of the wagon while Zarathos ran alongside them without much effort.

Shun had left the majority of his ninja gear back in the Lightning Country, along with his headband, and only decided to bring the smoke bombs and soldier pills he had obtained from the Academy in his personal pack. He adopted a rather simple attire of a pair of baggy pants, a tightly fitted shirt, his signature blue coat, a white scarf twisted around his shoulders like shawl and a black hat that concealed most of his hair within it. He would have a pack slung over his shoulder, carrying nothing more than simple goods for himself. It was his general ploy to present himself as nothing more than a common man, having nothing that one could oust him as a ninja. It was his job to pay attention to specific details and taking note that the city did not like ninja, he felt he could almost use that against any he might encounter inside.

He made specific note of further information given to them about a foreign army that was taken station inside of the city. This would most likely be their entry point once they reached the gate itself, bringing excess medicine for the members of this army that had been attacked by the rebel threat. He just hoped that this would work to allow them to pass without much trouble, but he also knew he would most likely have to pass some Jakatas in order for all three of them to move forward.

Shun had noticed quite a large number of people traveling traveling along the pathway to the Holy City of Aren, seeing people both coming and going. He had made note of a as much of the people heading out of the village, but also those who were within the village itself. ”Hmmn… I knew the city would be busy, but I did not expect so many people coming and going..” A low growl came from his side as Zarathos appeared at his side, running alongside the wagon. ”It is one of seven Holy Cities… most come here for pilgrimages. You remember that they worship their God in knowing they feel protected from the Whirlwind Goddess, Sha’ik, right? I hear she is quite the devil.” Zarathos seemed to have a sly smirk across his muzzle as Shun turned his head to look at the rather large wolf, slowing the cart down as they turned a corner. Before them just past the bridge ahead was the entrance to their destination the Holy City of Aren. Shun looked at the gate, he was in awe of such a wonder carved into the mountain side.

”Takera! Averus! We will be nearing the gate soon, prepare yourselves and tighten up a defensive perimeter around the wagon.” Sha yawned from behind Shun, staring ahead as moved slowly along the bridge to the gate itself. Zarathos slowed his run to keep in pace with the cart as he weaved in and out between people and caravans of people moving into the city. Shun leaned back a little and relaxed, closing his eyes for just a moment as he prepared himself to get into the mindset of his role. He had spent most of their time traveling adopting various mannerisms from the people of the Earth Country, but kept a more formal attitude about how he would conduct his business… he was selling items after all.

As they lulled forward, people passing through the guards at the gate and into the mountainous city he thought he had noticed someone dressed as a shinobi entering the city far out from him. No one would be that foolish to enter the city like that… would they? He shook his head and shrugged it off, but made a note of certain specifics of their character; he could not make anything definite, but he had a general idea if he ever crossed their path in the city itself.

Eventually they would reach the guards and Shun would slow his cart to a halt, hopping down from his sitting position and bowed his head. ”Greetings, soldiers of the Holy Army. I am Shun Ishikawa, a traveling merchant from the far end of our great country. Myself and my fellow guardsmen seek admittance to your fair city in order to sell our goods… I am sure that we can work something out, no?” His voice was as sincere and hopeful as one could be as he tossed a bag filled with 1,500 jakatas in his hand, hoping that the money would entice the guards to allow them passage through without much of an issue. ”We have heard in our travels to the Holy City of Aren of a vast army taking station within… we would also be willing to part with some of our medicinal tonics to assist in their care.” He smiled as he looked over to the guard, placing one hand behind his back and the other still clutching the bag of Jakatas at his side.

Averus Ikaru

Averus was sitting in the back of the wagon that Shun was driving toward the Holy City, his arms crossed across his chest as he had his eyes closed. Much had changed for the group in the three months leading up to their mission to the Holy City, as Shun had discovered his family origins and now how his own companions. Averus also discovered some things about himself, that he had a corruptive miasma along with abilities that allowed him to control his blood. He had not entirely explored the powers he now had at his grasp, but for the most part he was trying to understand them.

It was one of the reasons he was looking forward to this mission, as it would give him, as well as his comrades, a chance to see how well they had been coming along now. Of course, they had each made preparations for this mission to the Holy City, pooling their resources together to make things easier while there. Having left behind his own headband back at his home in the village, he wore his heavy coat and clothes as he normally did, but with the added exception that he had some bandages that covered a portion of his face, mainly around the mouth and right side of his face. He did this as to make it a little harder for any to remember what he looked like, though of course the bandages would be a trademark.

Playing out the part of a guard to Shun, who was the part of a merchant here to sell goods to the city. Averus turned his head once he noticed they were approaching the main entrance to the city, though sat still till they had come to a stop. Looking over to Takera to see what he was doing at the moment, Averus looked over as Shun handed over a bag of the city’s currency. He was glad that they had put together their currency that had been given, having donated his part toward the 1,500 jakatas that Shun was handing over.

Averus looked toward the city as he waited for the response the guard would give to Shun, staying silent as he looked back toward the goods Shun had mentioned to the guard about what they were selling, keeping an eye on them as he was supposed to do.

A guard chases after you, placing a hand firmly on your shoulder. "Sir, you need to come with me to be processed." He states. His gauntlet hand stays on your shoulder, his other hand is held open between the two of you.

Both guards regard the young girl with a questioning look. One laughs and turns away, the other smiles and steps forward. "There's a several taverns in this city. Just take a look around." He nods towards Erin's Slice of Aren. "Some are good, some are terrible." Smiling wider he turned back to the other guard to resume their conversation.

The guard catches the bag with ease, a grin on his face as he feels the weight of the bag and nods appreciatively. "Of course, my good sir. May I suggest you head straight to the Market? I hear that there is an open space by the the Holy Citadel itself. It is quite pricey at 3,500 Jaka a night to rent, however the flow of traffic is tremendous. You'll surely sell your goods well there." The man said with a pleasant chuckle before leaning in to add, "Not to mention if you have any good ale, the priests can become quite chatty! But you didn't hear that from me." Still grinning, he steps back to wave the cart in.

As the cart passes through the gate one of the men glances in the back and spots the bandaged man. "WOAH, stop this cart." He calls out, glancing to the nearest other guard he says, "I don quite like the look of this one. What's wron' with im? Whys he all bandaged up, he sick or somethin'?" Three more guards approach to converse shortly with the first one. A signal is passed and the original guard that had let the cart through approaches Shun, "Sorry for this, sir.. But I'll need you to pull to the side and provide me ID for your two friends. Also why the... animals?" He asks, just now noticing the large wolf.

Takera was laying in the corner of the cart to Shun's left-most side. His back was to the left side wall of the cart with his legs in a pretzel sitting position. Long stretches of rope that were netted over the cargo were weaved through a hook and tied lightly around his waist. In his resting hand, the rope was bound once over around his palm and gripped tightly. Takera was leaning back mostly relaxed as the human paperweight for their cargo to insure any bumps or mishaps didn't cause any kind of spill of product. The journey had been quite the experience thus far. The group had plenty of chances along the way to narrow down mannerisms and habitual sales experience for the coming occasion. The group was fully aware of what it was they planned to do once they got inside of this city. The utmost goal would be to bring in as much intel as possible and verify it. Takera's eyes were closed, the gentle breeze rushing through Takera's white hair as they traveled through the mountain passes. Takera drifts off into a peaceful, but short, rest.

The Inner World

Takera opened his eyes slowly to catch himself staring eye to eye with Zeru, his brother who long since passed. Takera noted the open sky and the new feeling of water surrounding the under side of him. Zeru leaned up and turned away taking a few steps away. A chair appeared above the water, resting on the water as if it were solid ground. Zeru took a seat and by doing so now faced Takera once more. Takera snapped his fingers and the world began to disassemble piece by piece like Dominos flipping. The sky glared a dazzling orange, red, and pink-ish hue while the ground transformed into a meadow of soft grass and ground. Takera walked forward and sat down before Zeru on the grass before crossing his legs and connecting his hands in a universal sign for the communion of all essence within one's body. His fingers interlocked as they shifted around to the bottom and both thumbs touched solidly together. Takera's eyes closed. A moment passed so slowly that it felt as if time itself had stopped. Takera took a strong breath. The wind around them kicked up and grew incredibly violent with little delay. Zeru glanced around as the air blew his hair and clothing about consistently. "That's good. Now, Takera. Bring it in peacefully. Command it." Zeru spoke in a warm soft voice giving off the feel of a considerate and patient teacher.

The wind around them began to feed in strands towards Takera. Some of the strands hesitated lightly as they stalled repeatedly. Takera's brow fuzzled for a moment, but then returned to an eased relaxed form. The wind channeled inwards coursing around each segment of Takera's body. The force of this wind was every bit as strong as the gale that had only a moment prior consumed them, but it was confined. Condensed into strands of flowing wind coursing over every section of Takera's body. A few seconds passed as Zeru watched on. A bead of sweat rolled down Takera's cheek reaching his jaw line and dropping to his clothed knee below. His expression very gradually became strained as one after another more beads of sweat were flowing from his face and down below. Takera's breathing was also becoming strained. The longer he held on, the more difficult it was for him function normally. Zeru stood up for a moment watching Takera intently. His muscles within his biceps began tensing up. Takera gritted his teeth hard. The wind around him was becoming more erratic, slowly peeling back, expanding, and growing more uncontrollably intense. The air currents caused his hair and clothes to blow about sporradically. In one final push he let go all together. His hands came undone and the wind burst violentally out from his body in wildly expanding currents. As quickly as the wind grew violent again, it had disappeared. Takera fell back across the lush grass breathing hoarsely, sweat pouring down from his face. His body quivered from the strain of his experience.

Zeru sat back down in his chair, which had not moved even an inch out of place during all the commotion. "That was impressive. You're not there yet, but you're growing rapidly. At this rate you might be able to form a real connection. Up until now you've only subconciously ignited it in small doses." Zeru said as he cited prior incidents. Takera's breathing returned to normal and he pulled himself back up to a sitting position once more. He looked down at the grass between them. "This is so much harder than I thought it would be. The strain is real." Takera responded noting that his expectations were bested. The two of them chuckled together. Zeru glanced off into the sky as he leaned back. "It's hard work, but it will be worth it in the end. I can only sustain myself like this. If we were to do that now it my time here would be severely limited. However, if we can channel the connection through you and your essence it shouldn't impose upon me at all. You'll become.. like a catalyst." Zeru explained. Takera nodded before placing a hand out. Zeru stood up from the chair once more and reached out for Takera's hand. The two brothers' hands cusped together and Zeru helped Takera back up on to his feet. Zeru pulled Takera forward by their cusped hands and they gave a sort of half-hug.

The Outside World (Reality)

A sudden bump from the cart shook Takera awake. His once loose hand on the rope instantly tightened. He took a deep breath in the moment and glanced across to Averus before looking over to Shun. Everything still seemed to progressing smoothly. Takera was a peculiar individual. He was driven by a very strong sense of morals and values, but ever since his transformation there were creeping temptations that he'd never experienced before. These temptations nawed at his mind day in and day out in the beginning. It had driven Takera nearly to madness as he tossed and turned in his bed completely withered from the prior nights of lost sleep. It wasn't too much longer beyond that, when pushed to a critical low, that he discovered how much control he really had over himself. Slowly, but surely, with every passing into his inner world and every conversation with his brother, he was becoming more and more in tune with himself. The inner world opened the doors to control over his body he had never known before. Through this he was able to develop a new form, and although this form is incomplete, it allows his mind to take ease and grants him a very human appearance unlike the state he was forced to live in for a brief period of time. Takera wears a pair of high quality eye contacts that turn his green luminescent eyes back to the their original color - blue. His skin is a little bit brighter than it was originally, but not enough to look unatural by any means. To any average person Takera might appear as a person of clean handsomeness. People with appearances like this have been noted in this age as important as they carry the pristine appearance royals normally have as opposed to the normal or dirtied appearances that the regular folk and ninja often carry.

Takera had done a bit excavating and practicing before coming on this mission. He left his head band as well as anything that might give him away as a Shinobi back at home. He carried with him duffle bag that rested at his back, but the strap went up over his left shoulder and rests upon his right shoulder stringing across his chest and back to connecting points on the bag. The bag rested beside him between himself and the normal cargo. Inside of his bag were some smoke bombs disguised a rubber toy balls, the Senbon which were cloaked in a thin layer of wood to be passed off as chop sticks, and a bunch of every day wire. The bag also carried common place needs such as materials to build signs and other minor crafts.

Takera took another solid deep breath as he leaned over to look ahead of them. Shun was having a mild conversation with his companion Zarathos. They were coming up on a major turn that put them smack dab across the bridge from the gate to their destination. Shun had called back to Averus and Takera to get ready. Takera leaned up and stretched before he glanced out at a number of people who were close to or already commercing at the gate. Because of his history, it was a little easier for him to make of finer details at a distance. One person in particular seemed to stand out. His clothing didn't stand out so much as the item on his head. Takera almost doubted his eyes for a moment, but decided merely to register away peoples' faces they saw along the way, so that if there really were other invaders here, they might be able to avoid any unecessary conflict. If possible, Takera had wished the operation go as smoothly as possible so that it was as if they were never there. Takera noted another advancing and a few others at the gate as they were brought to a stop. One such poor soul was haulted by the guards and taken away. Takera began to ponder what was going to happen.

A bribe was tossed to the guard and things had seemingly been proceeding well, only a particular member of the team happened to stand out to the guards. In such a dire strife-filled time, they became easily alerted to Averus's bandages. Allowing a sick man into the country could cause complications. Takera watched, glancing once to Averus in mild confusion and once in the general direction of the guards that had seen and were now questioning Averus's appearance. Takera scratched the back of his head lightly as he arched a brow. Should have known it was not going to be that easy.. Takera thought to himself. He glanced over to Shun the moment someone mentioned identification. Shun currently possessed their group's credentials.

The man that accepted the money from Shun gave Takera a look down, frown pulling at his features but he simply shrugged it off. Walking over to one of the waiting guards that were to process the merchants, he passed them a few of the coins from the bag before returning to his post.

"Carry on." The guards parted way for the trio to enter the city.

The young woman giggled to herself as she drank from the bottle and twirled about in the street. Several people turned to regard her but none did more than that. The woman has shoulder length, golden blonde hair and bright green eyes that sparkled against her pale skin. "You said you wanted to have fun right?" Smiling to herself, she continued to pull on his arm.

Shinken did his best to blend into the crowd as he moved along following the soldiers marching down the street. This was a vital chance to gain information and he didn't want it to slip away. It didn't take long for the soldiers to move into the market district. Shinken cursed internally. He didn't like how far he was having to travel in the city. If he could just get the information he needed he could veer off as if he wasn't following the group of heavily armed men. As it was he simply had to act as if he were heading to go out shopping. Doing his best to be a quintessential grey man. He didn't want people to even remember seeing him. The best way to sneak around wasn't dramatic and over the top. It was to hide in plain sight so well it was as if no one had even seen you at all.

NIsha huffed a little at the others guards commit, but nodded as the guard speaking to he pointed her towards 'Erin's Slice of Aren', Nisha smiles and nods with him. "Thank you Mister guard". She said still smiling as she waved goodbye, then turned around with a little more confidence in where to go now, she took a moment to take down the name of the inn she had been directed to and where it was in relation to the main entrance of the city, as she was wondering around the area she heard a loud thumping sound coming from what seemed to be market place, after a few moments the sounds seemed to disappear.

Nisha made her ways towards the market looking area, a large crowd seeming to flood out of the area going on about their business, but an air of excitement was in the air as they talked to one another, Nisha interested in what was going on moved up to some of the people that looked her be her ages and asked. "Hey what happened, did I miss something cool?". She said looking at the group that was walking into the main center, it was a pair of guys and a girl walking together that Nisha had managed to speak up to, one of the guys was a half a head taller then the other with dark hair comb back, the other had light brown hair, but seemed to have more muscle on his frame then the taller one, and the girl had shoulder length brown hair and matching eyes, she looked up Nisha and had a board look on her face as the guys were talking about the soldiers, the tall guy was the one that spoke up."Yeah it was amazing The Holy Falan'd captured Leoman that b*****d, he going to be put on trail". He said excited after having seen the soldiers, the guy next to him joined him in talking about the soldiers and how they were training to be part of the military, the girls seem to sign and motioned to get the two of them to calm down.

"Sorry I am new in town, but who is Leoman? and what is The Holy Falan'd?". Nisha said looking at the three of them. The boys jumped at the opportunity to talk about The Holy Falan'd, taking the moment to talk about them, they went into how they were the Royal family, and how the guard and soldier under them were the best in the city, and how the current head had two sons and daughter. The girl was the one again to stop them from going overboard again, and took the moment to explain her Leoman was.

After speaking for a while, the group moved on, one of the guys yelling about how his dad was going to kill him for missing work, and the girl telling the two of them off for taking all day fan boying about the soldiers and the Holy Falan'd, Nisha looked around the area again, her sense of time was because of the cavern like nature of the structure in this place but decide to settle for the evening, thinking it would be good to rest and get a start on tomorrow.

Being so immersed by the layout of Aren, Juugou failed to notice the guard approach from the left and firmly plant a large hand on his shoulder. The young Aburame winced from the stinging impact, but turned to face the guard when he says he needs to come get processed. "Um, sure." replied Juugou, noting that the guard wasn't showing any signs of hostility and follows the guard to wherever he was being led. Juugou saw another guard stop a cart that was arriving and approach a few travelers in the back. One wore strange bandages while the other was accompanied by a rather large dog. Is a circus coming to town? he wondered to himself.

Not long after he had crossed the gate the sound of padded metal hitting rock began to rise. Juugou turned to see what the source of the noise was and was surprised to see an army of iron-clad men coming across the arced bridge toward the City. The young Aburame was not aware that the guard had stopped moving and ended up walking into him. The guard looked down at him with an annoyed look, but turned his attention back to the brigade as it marched past. The brigade continued up until they got to the steps leading up to the palace. Six soldiers then detached themselves from the contingent while escorting three chained and blindfolded people in soiled rags up the stairs. Once at the top the soldiers forced the prisoners to turn around to face the citizens, made them kneel on the stone and removed the sacs from their heads, revealing three badly beaten faces. It was difficult to make out any distinguishing details between any of them.

People began to whisper among themselves, but the appearance of two figures approaching from the palace itself caused the noise to vanish as quickly as it started. One of the figures was that of an old man in an ornate suit of armor. It seemed as if he was no longer able to support the weight of the breastplate. The man standing next to him was younger, maybe in his middle years. He wore pious robes and was adorned in bejeweled rings and chains. An officer walked up the stairs and presented the prisoners as captives from the Whirlwind Rebellion, and their leader Leoman of the Flails. However what caught Juugou's attention was that the officer addressed the Falah'd as his father and Liege. That must be one of the sons. But where could his brother and sister be right now. This would seem like a strange occasion for them to be absent. After the ceremony was over and the soldiers had followed the Falah'd into the citadel with the prisoners in tow the citizens of Aren went back to what they were doing previously, but there was a subtle tension in the air now. Juugou turned to the guard with a sincerely curious expression on his face. "Excuse me sir, but i'm a stranger to this land and am unsure of many things in this culture. Was that man from the army really the son of the king?" he asked
