Hobbies: Singing -- While Anne-Marie enjoys all kinds of music, she especially loves choral singing. The idea of several people working in harmony to create music is the epitome of beauty to her (second to maybe true love). The best part is: anyone can take part! Winter is her favourite time of year not only for the holidays, but for the frequency of carollers. She will often follow along behind, jingling her collar in time, or even humming or singing along if she thinks she can get away with it. Other times she likes to slip into concerts, or listen to a capella groups online. She dreams of one day putting together her own music group.
Matchmaking -- True love. There is nothing in this world more powerful or more beautiful. Besides indulging in bittersweet romantic films, Anne-Marie likes to take a more active role. She is determined that everyone has their match in the world, and they are going to find it, whether they like it or not. In her spare time (which she has a lot of) she likes to pair her friends with one another, and spy on dates. Of course she's interested in finding
the one for herself as well, but despite all her searching, she is uncharacteristically shy about approaching anyone.
Decorating -- Anne-Marie adores festivity and cheer in her environment. She will take every opportunity she can to spruce things up. Nothing is good enough unless it has received the Anne-Marie treatment. Baked goods will always be charmingly frosted, letters elegantly written, gifts carefully wrapped, and any room that she is left alone for long enough in overhauled. She has a tendency to shift things around to match her personal aesthetic. Not surprisingly, she also likes to tidy.
Virtues: Charitable -- Anne-Marie has always been the generous sort. Aside from material giving (which she does quite a lot of), she is exceptionally charitable with her energy and time. She always thinks of others first, and can be counted on to pull through for someone, no matter what she has going on in her own life. If anything, she might be at risk for taking on too much at once. Even so, she always manages to pull through somehow.
Open-minded -- Anne-Marie is probably one of the least judgemental people on the planet. She is almost always open to new experiences and ideas, no matter frightening, dull, or generally unpleasant they might sound. Even if she may not like or disagree with something, that's no reason to dismiss it. Differences in opinion are to be respected and appreciated! Individuality is very important to her. Of course she does draw the line at anything that would negatively impact someone else or the environment.
Forgiving -- No matter how she might have been wronged, Anne-Marie is incapable of harbouring ill-will towards others. She would much rather forgive and move on. Ultimately she strives to get along with others as best she can, and there is no room for grudges in a relationship with that kind of mentality. An unshakeable faith in others' intentions certainly helps. She is quick to acknowledge flaws in others and accept them rather than attempt to change them.
Flaws: Optimistic -- Anne-Marie's good cheer does not seem to ever turn off. She is irrepressibly hopeful. No matter how bad things get, there is always a solution, always a bright side, always a way out, always an alternative. She will deny what is right in front of her, just because she believes in a happy ending. Her relentless refusal to acknowledge the cold, hard truth of the world can get tiresome, especially if there is nothing redeeming to be found in a situation.
Trusting -- Anne-Marie sees the best in everyone
all the time. It's what allows to be the kind of open-minded, forgiving person that she is. On the flip side, her rosy perspective blinds her to bad intentions. She tends to take things at face value without much consideration. Even when all signs point one way, if someone says its another, she will swallow it on blind faith. Her good will can be easily be taken advantage of.
Pushover -- At heart, Anne-Marie is a people pleaser. Nothing brings her more joy then to see other people happy. As such she has a hard time saying “no”, even when she should no better. When presented with difficult decisions she tends to defer to others first, even if she has her own opinions. And though strong-minded on certain issues, with enough cajoling her willpower can be whittled down, and she can be convinced of just about anything.
