Kayndie was sitting on the floor of her living room, hugging a body pillow trying to get her emotions under control. She knew there was a child that was destined to become hers, she just knew it! She poured over the letter from the orphanage explaining the reasons why she was not approved to adopt but she would be allowed to "foster" a child for a period of time. She was confused and esctatic at the same time. Although fostering a child eased the sting of not adopting, she knew it was something she wanted to accomplish.

Her house was large, to large or so it felt. Every room should be filled with laughter, artwork and the smell of a child just coming out of the bath. Sappy she knew but she wanted to give a child a stable home, one where they would feel loved and wanted. Not wondering how they came to be or why, only that they were loved regardless of their past. Kayndie would be their parent, one who would adore them and grant their every wish, within reason.

After a few more tears, Kayndie wiped her face and with a set expression became determined to figure out why she could not adopt a child from the orphanage. She set about re reading the letter and trying to read between the lines so to speak, seeing if she missed something in the way the letter was worded. Reading it word for word her mind tumbled over the possible scenarios and why it was worded this way. Biting her lip, she looked off into space trying to process the words as the Director meant them, not the way she was taking them.

Finding a notepad and pen she began to write the different views on the sentences of the letter, each line she copied it and then wrote her feelings and views on it then went on to the next line until each line was copied and the views written beneath. Going over it gave her a headache, which she then decided enough! She needed a break and without thinking grabbed the letter and headed out for a long walk to hopefully clear her mind.

She knew deep down she would be a excellent Mother, one who would cherish and love her children regardless if they were hers that she imbuded or one she adopted.
