This was the first date since Odessa and and Lazarus had graduated, the baphomet nervously messing with the collar of his shirt and winter coat as he held hands with Odessa. This was the day he planned to propose to his beloved high school girlfriend, but Odessa didn't know that. He had tried hard to keep his plans a secret, even going as far as not telling his band mates of his plans. Originally he had planned to propose during their graduation, but he got cold feet the day of. Proposing in front of so many people proved to be too much for him, so he decided to get Odessa to go on a date with him so they could be alone.

The date in question was a walk through the park, a sort of winter garden having been set up so people could still admire the beauty of the park despite the plants being gone or covered in snow. After the walk he would take her to the gazebo and take her underneath it, proposing to her there. That was the plan, if he could bring himself to ask her. He was sure Odessa would say that, but there was still that small voice trying to convince him that maybe she wouldn't.

At Odessa's question of him being okay or not he suddenly stopped right there with their walk, squeezing her hand back. Oh no... he was getting cold feet again. What would happen if they got to the gazebo and he couldn't bring himself to ask her?! He wanted to marry Odessa, but that would never happen if he couldn't even bring himself to ask her. The only time he ever got nervous was when he wanted to ask her something important to him, like when he first asked her to be his girlfriend. He loved her beyond all else, but that love made his usually cool and rough demeanor deteriorate into a soft and shy being; his true self.

"Am... am I okay?" He stuttered some, giving a nod and not looking her in the eyes just yet ", Yeah, I am just... thinking about something important."

That was it! If he did wait for the gazebo he WOULD get cold feet again, in the snow ironically. Lazarus was not going let that happen a second time. He had been planning to propose to her, and he would do exactly that. Odessa was the one, and he wanted to be with her for the rest of their lives. If she said no then that was her choice, but he just had to ask!

"Odessa," he was suddenly on one knee in the snow, holding her hands tightly as he tried to bring the words to reality. This was it. He was finally going to tell her how much he really loved her! ", I was going to wait for a little longer into the walk to ask this, but if I wait any longer I am afraid I will not be able to say it."

"Odessa... my dearest swan. I feel as if I have been in love since the day we met, only growing each passing day. You are the one for me. You are the one I wish to spend the rest of my life with, through the good and bad. I want you to be the one to be the mother of my children... our children. I know we are young, but if I don't ask you now, I feel as if my own shy nature will cause me to never ask. Odessa my love..." he reached into the collar of his coat he had been messing with not long before, pulling out the ring box and revealing the double ring he had picked out for her. It might of been too much for what Odessa would of wanted, but to Lazarus he wished to give her the very best. Besides, it was a gorgeous ring, just like his beloved ", Will you marry me?"

Odessa seemed so shocked to Lazarus, and when she first spoke after him asking he was starting to think she would say no. After all, they were young and had lots of time left to think about even being together. When she finally said yes though, tears of joy began to form. He slid the two rings onto her finger, lifting her hand to his lips to give it a gentle peck. Eyes trailed up to look into her's unable to contain the happiness he felt ", Odessa, I love you my beautiful swan."
