Greetings all-or those of you left that is.
*Ahem* It has been ages but I Nire have returned. Seeing as I seem to be the only active Vice Captain around -and Mouse hasn't been on since September- I thought I would do some Guild cleanup. I'd like to remove inactive members, and clean up old threads. This will occur in 3, terrifying waves *dun dun dun!*.
Wave 1. Deleting 'Zero -Post' Memberscomplete
I will start with those that have zero posts and/or have not been on Gaia in ages. So basically, new accounts that were never or barely used. After that it gets a little trickier as, like some of you, I'll leave Gaia for a few YEARS but still find my way back. wink Therefore we move on to..
Wave 2. Deleting Remaining Inactive Members
In Wave 2, I will be deleting inactive members starting from oldest to new. I will judge activity based on how active they are both in the guild and on Gaia in general (based on last login) to try and keep people who actually want to be kept. But in the event I delete someone who wants to come back, they simply have to send out a request to join the Guild again. When Wave 2 hits, I will send out another Guild Announcement so people know what's going on and how to rejoin.
Wave 2.5/3 Deleting Inactive/ Irrelevant Threads
Finally the last wave-whew! sweatdrop Ideally I'd like to start this while still in Wave 2, but we will see.
When deleting threads I will be focusing on threads that have little and/or irrelevant content, starting from the oldest and working my way up to the present. I will try and use my best judgment and keep memorable threads and of course ones with important Guild Information.
A Guild Announcement before this Wave starts will go out, and you will be able to have input in what threads we keep. If anyone wants, they may actually start posting in this thread links to forums they believe should be kept. Please try not to double post links! But obviously we don't want to delete EVERYTHING; we need some memorable threads to look back on once in a while for fun! mrgreen
In closing, I don't know what will become of the Guild but maybe if we clean it up we can revive it into something awesome! It should be noted I did PM Mouse today since he HAS logged on somewhat recently (Sept as stated in the opening) but we will see where that goes. Regardless, I have no plans as of yet to sell the Guild or anything, but I know I can't run it by myself. 2017 has just stated though, so let's just see where the New Year takes us. 3nodding
Cheers to the New Year!
