Zoey certainly led a buys life, but she had spent some years at the Academy now and was looking to do something more with her personal life. She already had one adopted child, Aiken. And she loved her dearly and felt like the two of them made a great family. But, she wanted a partner. Someone who could understand that she had a busy schedule and she liked that, someone to help support her, be there for her and their family. Recently, she had turned to online dating. And there, she had met Aikutaki. He was a wonderfully friendly Naiad and she believed he'd be an excellent partner.
Someone might tell her things were moving fast, but when you met the right person, how could you stand to wait. They had met for drinks and both admitted they were ready to have children of their own. He was so sweet, promising to support her with everything he had. Zoey was excited about being a mother, well technically she already was one, but she was also quite dedicated to her work. She wanted to be there for her children, for sure, but didn't want to take too much time off of work at the Academy. She could always miss a season or two of Soccer and be okay.
This relationship was something she was really excited about, Aikutaki seemed to be just the perfect match for her. He knew he'd be great with Aiken as well and love her just as much as their own kids. A growing family! She couldn't wait to brag to her parents and sister. To have them all know the new children in their lives. It was all so exciting and come to think of it she'd need to start preparing her home for new children.
Aiku was working on getting the stones for them, she was so looking forward to imbuing them with him. It was sure to be a magical moment. She had been looking forward to imbuing for a long time and could barely believe it would be happening soon. But, oh so much to prepare for! She'd need cribs, baby proof the house, and all the usual baby stuff.
Work had just ended and Aiken was settled in and working on her homework. Now seemed like a good time to pop over to the store and get some things ordered for delivery. Then she'd work on get the necessary paper things for around the house. They'd have a lot of work to do in the next couples of days to make the house baby ready! That alone was going to be it's own fun adventure! She'd have to make sure to get plenty of pictures! Maybe she could get a camera? She only had her phone for taking pictures, maybe it would be better to get a more serious device for all of these important memories they'd be making!
Oh well, now she was just adding to the list of things she needed and places to go! She'd better get a move on before she spent the whole evening out shopping!
