Ziel ran her fingers through her hair; she’d just finished undoing all her braids and washing her hair clean. She didn’t like being gross and for some odd reason mud and dirt seemed to stick to her. Her hair had grown quite a bit longer since he hadn’t cut it in a while now, and probably wouldn’t be cutting it for a little while longer. Her fingers stopped however as she listened intently to the sounds, she was sure shed heard someone headed this way. The animals moving about were enough of a giveaway. She wasn’t undressed of course, but she didn’t like people spying.
“If you need to get to the water, then come around. I’m not naked!” She yelled out.

Uzumati walked quickly through the trees. Or rather crouched more than standing straight. The man was constantly wary of others in his forest and even now he was making certain to take his time before leaving the shadows of the trees. Not like it should matter to him - the man had already been surrounded by others in Sauti and had taken to visiting his uncle more often lately. Still, old habits from his days as a wild man in solitude were hard to let go.
He had just brushed up along a tree when a voice called out. Freezing, Uzumati's hand dug into the rough bark before he finally blinked. They were inviting him forward? And wasn't something oddly familiar about that voice? Frowning, the man stood there. Hadn't his uncle said staring at someone from the trees was an obvious thing not to do? Especially if you were caught...sighing Uzumati wanted to flee, but realized he needed water as well. He wasn't allowed to go into town looking like a mud monster and so he needed to rinse off. This was the best spot for it as well...
Rolling his eyes at the heavens for his 'luck' Uzumati finally appeared from beneath the trees before stopping again. This person...he knew them, right? Surprise showed on his face as he just stared down at the hybrid before ever so slowly raising a hand and doing a small, awkward wave.

“Oh hey you!” Ziel’s face grew a large smile and she pulled herself up, hands on her hips as she inspected the wild forest man who’s name she did not know. “You’re the guy I gave my little crown to!” Yes yes was definitely him, her eyes looked him up and down. Little older, he’d grown obviously. “Did you need to use the water?” She pointed to it. “I’ve just finished so if you need to rinse off or something.” He looked quite dirty; she wondered how in the world he spent most of his time looking that dirty. Did no one tell him? Would it be rude to tell him? Probably.

Uzumati just slowly nodded. Yes, this definitely was the hybrid from that day a while back. Though why she was here out of all places baffled him. Though his gaze did hesitate over her hair. It was strange and beautiful at the same time. He hadn't truly noticed it before but with the strands loose the man noticed the way the colors shifted in the light. Almost like a rare feather.
"Ah." Uzumati blinked at her question before nodding once more. Ever so slowly the man came towards her before sticking one foot hesitantly in the water. Was it truly alright to bathe right here with her there? Shrugging slightly he removed the furs from around his waist along with his bracers and belts until he just stood there in his ragged pants. That done he took another few steps until he completely splashed into the water.

“Still not talking huh?” She eye’d him with narrowed eyes before moving them to look at something else when he began undressing. He wasn’t going to do that here was he? She wasn’t particularly into bodies per say but she was pretty sure you weren’t supposed to do this kind of thing when someone else was there. In the mean time she did sit back down and continued to run her fingers through her hair to find the tangles. She’d be rebraiding them again once all the knot were out. When he splash, Ziel, shrieked covering herself a little before laughing.
“Rude!” She called to him with a smile.

"Mm." Uzumati's cheeks seemingly flushed as she called him out on his silence. It wasn't that he wasn't improving - before he would have growled and sniffed at her - but the man still felt awkward forming words with his mouth. So it was best just to keep quiet and nod here and there as necessary.
Hearing her shriek, the man immediately reemerged before realizing that she was smiling. Had he startled her? Uzumati tried to see through the damp hair that hid most of his face. But in order to get it out of his eyes the man shook his head wildly, like a wet beast, and sent even more water flying. When he finished Uzumati swam a bit towards the girl before tilting his head to study her quietly.

Ziel tried to cover herself again by throwing her hands in front of her to block the droplets when he began shaking. What was this! Was he a wild beast? Still she could not help the laughter that came easily to her. He was funny for a guy. When she opened up her eyes again he was inspecting her.
“What are you looking at?” She asked as she tugged a knot free. She was used to people looking at her but this was just creepy! She gazed back at him and opened up her eyes as wide as she could.

Perhaps there was a slight grin on his face as he showered her with water, but that quickly had slipped into a thoughtful frown.
Standing in a spot where the waters barely lapped up to his hips, Uzumati's forehead creased more at the girl's question. Ever so slowly he opened his mouth, then closed it again, and then finally opened it. "Why, here?" The words came out roughly and were quiet yet it was something. Why was she here out of all places? Was Tale her home? Was that it?

The laughter died immediately when he spoke and her mouth opened into an ‘o’. Oh my! Had he really just spoken? Had she heard right? Ziel smiled back at him, this time a content smile, the smile she reserved for when she was a little more…normal? Reserved? Serious?
“My mother is traveling,” she began and shrugged. “Until I am old enough to travel on my own I travel with her.” She didn’t think much of it really. “We visited family back in Juahar for a little bit. “I guess she wants me to know a bit about the world before she lets me off loose within it.”
“I didn’t know you spoke! You should do it more often you know.”

Had he spoken incorrectly? As her laughter died the man found himself suddenly very nervous. What was wrong? Had he made a mistake? Swallowing, Uzumati had to push down the urge to hide under the water. But then he noticed the smile. It wasn't one full of laughter, but something different. It was enough to make him actually smile a bit in return.
Family. So she had that. His smile faltered at the word as it brought up his own loss, but it was only for a moment before he turned and began to splash water up his arm to chase away any mud. "Ah." He shook his head before glancing back towards her sheepishly. Thoughtfully Uzumati rubbed his chin before finally managing one more gruff word, "Rare." He simply stated with a shrug before going back to cleaning his arms off.

He spoke but not too many words, okay she could work with that. Ziel did catch the touch of sadness that had crossed his features when she’d spoken about her mother. Perhaps he did not have a family? It would certainly explain how come he was so in tune with the wild around him.
“How come you don’t shower more?” She asked curiously as she watched him wash. “Do you want some of my soap?” She added before extending a hand to open the bag by her. Surely she could extend a bit of soap for him. He was quite caked in… well everything.

Uzumati scrunched up his nose in protest at the question. What was the point in taking so much time to do this? It ruined his scent too and some of his opponents for the forest would think that he had left again. Yet, those in the town would say otherwise about his scent being helpful.
The question of soap made him pause. Soap? "Eh?" Tilting his head in question, the man splashed through the water closer towards the hybrid. What exactly was it that she was offering him?

“Never used soap huh?” She chuckled before grabbing the homemade bar. It was a greyish mauve color and shaped in what was once a square but was now more of an oval. Getting up, she herself went into the water but not higher than her knees before dropping and grabbing a bit of water into her palm and rubbing the soap in it.
“Makes you cleaner see,” Not that he’ be able to see how much cleaner since she was already clean but she rubbed the soap on her forearm none the less and showed him the soap suds that were left behind. “Would work better on you since you’re dirtier of course.”

Uzumati's gaze narrowed in suspicion as she began to play with this thing called soap. Ever so slowly after glancing from the soap to Ziel's face and then back to the soap again he made his way close to her. This way he was standing right next to her while she was demonstrating how the strange thing worked. His body dwarfing the hybrid's the man simply raised an inquisitive brow towards her as if to say, 'really?'.
But then he was reaching out a finger and taking the suds from her own arm to place them on his. Then mimicking her without the bar Uzumati tried to push the few suds around on his skin. Which of course just caused him to slip his fingers around a few times in frustration while only smearing the soap and muck together since it wasn't enough soap to wash with just yet...

Ziel watched him carefully, her face twitching as she tried not to laugh. The soap suds had only ended up brown.
“You need more,” she tried to say but it came out a little stiffly because she was still trying not to laugh. Then briefly, she wondered if he was ticking. She didn’t know why that idea also seemed amusing but Ziel finally cracked and laughed. She bent forward a bit as she finally release the laughter that had been building it up.
“Oh man,”she finally said after calming down a bit. “Here let me show you.” Rubbing her hands together between the soap she gathered a good amount before extending her hand to rub the upper part of his shoulder. She did it slowly as to not scare him of course, but she was going to rub vigoriously!
