Slow days weren't the worst thing in the world, but Iria couldn't get herself motivated to do anything. Life had become a little dull - No contracts or spells to work on. No rumors to explore. No weird patrons to kick out of her shop. No, Iria was woefully bored and without a lick of motivation.
Instead, the hallowed hybrid laid on her stomach behind the counter, flipping through a magazine. It was filled with new and upcoming spells, charms, and other ideas for simple enchanting. Enchanters Guide was a popular trade magazine in her profession and Iria rarely missed an issue. This one, however, was a little sparse in content, focusing on spells and charms to baby proof a house.
Some of them looked interesting. Rattles that were break resistant and had a noise dampening function that didn't let the sound travel past a foot from the toy itself. Cribs with soft rocking functions and protective charms to ensure that children didn't hurt themselves tossing and turning. Toys, specifically small ones, with lots of little functions like cars that moved when tapped, or dolls that had special phrases programmed inside. The more Iria read, the more she thought about how fun it would be to make these toys... How fun it would be to give to her own child.
Her own, huh? Curiosity bubbled in the hallowed hybrid until it could no longer be contained. Sitting up, she grabbed her deck of tarot cards and started to shuffle. Setting them down, Iria took a deep breath and flipped the first card.
Empress.
"Well, if I feel it and the cards say it... I think it is the time I get a kid of my own."
