PhiferWolf
Ever since Temari's puppies were born, Jamaa has been ignoring him lately. The black, violet eyed ratel wandered off back to the Pride Lands.
"That darn pup, can't even appreciate a good helper. All because of those small....cute...big eyed...furry...GAH!" he cried out, shaking his head. "No,no,no,no! Must get these thoughts out of my head. Those little pups could eat me." he shivered.
He continued toward the center of the Pride Lands, thoughts of littleuns clouding his mind.

Andrani

Oh, her den was just RUINED! A gray and white ratel dug in some dirt, grumbling to herself at how a group of lions had ruined it by trampling upon it. Now she had to dig it anew! Backing up, she grunted. "I hate lions..."
One small ear flicked as she heard someone approaching. Turning around, she bristled a bit, a feirce growl coming from her throat. "Halt where you are, stranger!"

PhiferWolf Immediately, Topas stopped where he stood, paws mid-step. "Yeah?" he groaned as he held his position. Judging by the creature's voice, it was a female. "Did you want sometheh, lassie?" eyes scanning around for this female.

Andrani Moving forward so that he could see her, Jini growled again. "What do YOU want?" She wasn't into her den getting ruined again, which was why she was on the edge. Her green eyes moved over the darker honey badger, recognising it as male. Oh, just what she needed, a male to come bother her!

PhiferWolf Topas cocked a brow. "That is a fine way to greet a guy, lassie. Is that how you do it with all the males?" he teased. Reluctantly he let out a sigh. "I want no trouble. Just wanted something to do that was all. My friend, a wild dog, started to ignore me so I kind of wandered. And you?"

Andrani Relaxing a bit, Jini grunted. "No, I've just had a run of bad luck involving visitors destroying my den." She looked him over, a slight frown remaining on her face. "I have nobody to hang around. A cub helped me out of the thick thorns a few months back, but we parted ways once we got out." She sat down, watching Topas.

PhiferWolf "That really bites, lassie." he thought for a moment. "Well, I got nothin bettah to do, why not build a new den togetheh?" he offered, offering his paw as well. He really didn't have much to do. Jamaa is busy with Temari and her pups and has no time for him. Through the ratel's mind he thought if he ignored Jamaa, he'll come back just like last time. "What do ya say?"

Jini thought about that, then nodded. "Alright." She turned and went back to her den, beginning to dig again. "What's your name, anyway? Can't call you 'male' all the time."

She grunted just a bit. "Manners... Survival doesn't depend on them, they're just..." She stopped, looking at him. "Pretty? Well..." A smile actually started to touch her maw. "THank you. You're not so bad lookin' yourself." The female settled back a bit. "The name's Jini'kali."

"It's my honor." he dipped slightly. "But of course you're pretty, don't you think so?" he asked, almost teasingly. He too smiled, Jini was truely beautiful she look so pure with her light coat.
"So where should we begin, lassie?"

Was that blush rising upon her cheeks? Indeed it was! The usually gruff badger was truly flattered. In all her years, only her father had ever called her beautiful.
Looking at the den, the female inclined her head slightly. "Clear out the collapsed dirt and work from there, I say." With that, she got to work.

Ethusiastically, he jumped into the air and into the dirt. Paws swung this way and that way, dirt as well, as his body slowly sunk into the earth. His tail wagged as he dug. Digging was one of this ratel's passions, made him feel real.
Suddenly his tail stopped. "There you are, lassie, all cleaned out fer ya!" he said, showing that most of the den's debris was cleared out into two decent piles to the left and right. "So what do you think?" he said, still flushing slightly.

The pale ratel eyed the den with a critical eye, crawling in and examining it. Returning to the surface world, she nodded. "It's good. But the question is... Can it hold two?" She stopped, blinking at what she'd pretty much just asked. What was getting into her? Acting like a young badger like that...! It was... Unbecoming! And yet, she didn't mind when she thought about it...

"I think so, I can dig for more if you like." he offered, totally oblivious to what exactly what Jini meant. "I think it can fit one and another as it is right now, but it will be cramped!"
The sun was setting now and Topas was digging to his hearts content. The den grew bigger, roomie and deep, with supports to prevent anymore of these den collapses. Topas popped his dirt covered head out of the den entrance with a smug look. "There you go, lassie, all done fer ya! Come on inside, it's getting dark out here!" now Jini's words hit home but he didn't show it.
((Sorry if I am skipping ahead too fast...))
