It was a cold night--again, but Caia was sucking it up because that was apparently what Senshi were supposed to do, and he wanted so badly to be a good Senshi.

Even if he was still in the process of learning exactly what that meant.

He figured the best place to start was the park, because that was always where he ran into people and found something to do--and, after only fifteen minutes, he realized there was an energy signature nearby. Stronger than him, and different than what he was used to. In his bones, he felt like he should be worried, but he wasn't very good at listening to himself and wound up wandering straight towards the energy signature.

He expected some monster, judging by the feeling it gave him, so when he spotted a girl sitting alone on a bench, eating girl scout cookies, he was arguably surprised.

He hesitated for a moment and then took a few steps closer and waved.

"Hello," he greeted, flashing a smile. "I, uhm. I don't want any trouble--I'm actually right on my way out. I don't want to fight!" he insisted quickly. "But...I just wanted to say, you looked really pretty sitting out here. Your hair looks really fun. Did you do that yourself, or do you have a salon you go to? If you don't mind me asking!"

There was just something magical about a box of Thin Mints. That and the box of Peanut Butter patties were going to keep Cavansite very happy for at least the next half hour or so. So happy, indeed that when the senshi came up to her and started talking...she didn’t even care that much. Now, if he made a move on her cookies, well. That would be a different story, but right now she just gave a lazy smirk and watched him waffle on.

“You think I look pretty? Well that’s something I don’t hear every day. Normally people are like, ‘Oh Cavansite, don’t hurt us oh nooooo’. I kind of like it. You’re not after my cookies are you? Because if you are, I swear to God, I’ll run you through.” Idly she wondered how a Thin Mint would taste with some crushed starseed sprinkled atop it, and her mind flitted to the girl scout she had taken these from back at the playground, drained to the point she passed out.

Maybe she could try some crushed up starseed from her, but...maybe later. She wasn’t in the mood just now. “My hair? Yeah I get it professionally done, but I don’t know. I’m starting to get tired of the purple, I think it’s time to change to something new, I’m just torn on what to do.”

Caia nodded, apparently either oblivious to her threatening words or willing to overlook them. "Your name is Cavansite?" he asked. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Caia. I'm not after your cookies though, don't worry," he promised.

He got a little closer but was still mindful to respect her distance.

"I like the purple," he confessed. "What about the teal? That looks incredible on you. You could get it trimmed--on one side," he said, trying to mimic the style he was talking about with his own hair. "I mean--your hair stylist would probably know much better than me, but you look like you could be a model. I'm pretty sure any haircut you get will look good on you."

She watched the senshi--Caia. “Well, all right. I suppose if you wanted to sit down, I won’t attack you right now.” Teal, hm? Cavansite had always liked the teal stripe in her hair, but she wasn’t quite sure that she wanted her full head done in teal...and trimmed on one side? “Like, you mean shaved? That might look interesting...I could keep the bangs purple though, I love my purple bangs, or maybe I could put some pink in them to match the outfit a little better…”

Idly she held out the box of cookies to Caia. “If you want one, I suppose you can have one, but only one.”

Caia seemed pleased with the invitation and quickly moved to sit next to her. He placed his hands on his knees and seemed to pose no visible threat. When she offered the cookies, he held his hand up as if to protest, but fearing that declining would be rude, he instead thanked her profusely and promised, "Just one. Thank you."

He nibbled on it slowly, nodding as he considered her musings.

"I think that's a good idea. I love your purple bangs, too. And pink! Why not all of them? I'd say the more colors, the better, but I've been told that apparently that can come across as a bit garish. But if I could stand the chemicals, I'd love to dye my hair like that. Oh, but," his gloved hand reached up to grace the freckles splattered across his cheeks. "You could pull it off with your complexion. I might just look a mess!"

Cavansite was quiet for a long moment, slowly chewing another cookie. She looked at Caia and nodded after a minute. “Well, with you, I think you’d have to do a single color first. Your hair is so...bright as it is, but you know if you maybe dyed it brown or something neutral and put some streaks of color in it? Or maybe put a streak of gold through the middle, to match your eyes? That might be pretty.”

Or it might look a mess, that was a possibility as well.

“Maybe I could get like pastel bangs for myself, that would be interesting, and it might even be pretty.” It would be a great big F-you to the cosmos knights too...a mockery of their cute clean colors...maybe she would do it just to be a jerk. It couldn't hurt for a little while, right? Besides, she did love her vibrant hair.

Caia just smiled and fluffed at his hair. "I dyed it black, once. I was a mess, I looked like some monster that crawled out of a coal mine. I told myself I wouldn't dye it again. The rash I had was absolutely awful. I think I'm happy with red, I'll just have to admire everyone else's hair."

He cocked his head to one side, debating on the hairstyle she was describing. Finally, he nodded approvingly. "I think that sounds perfect. If you change it, I hope I can run into you again! I'd really like to see. I'm sure it would look wonderful," he all but gushed.

Well, maybe not all senshi were that terrible. Maybe. This one at least knew how to be flattering. Cavansite handed him another cookie and sighed. “Yeah, well. I might not be this nice when I see you again. I am, evil you know. Truly evil to the core of me, and I do like to hurt senshi and knights...a lot, so don’t take it personally when I try to kill you the next time I see you.”

Because it really wouldn’t be personal, not really...it would just be Cavansite. That was who she was, and she wasn’t willing to change. She had no reason to change. Changing only led to difficulties that she had no interest in dealing with.

“...But I think you should think about dying your hair again, even if it’s just a strand of bangs. Don’t go all the way to the roots and you won’t have to worry about any sort of rash. You’d look cute.”

Caia accepted the cookie gratefully but paused with her threat. He blinked at her, somewhat uncertainly, and seemed to try and understand if she was just teasing. He seemed almost embarrassed when she said he'd look cute, so he sheepishly tucked a few strands of loose hair behind his ear.

"Ah, thank you," he said, but couldn't help but keep thinking of her threat. "I...I guess that's okay. I mean, you wouldn't be the first person to try and kill me. And probably won't be the last. I hope!" he laughed, practiced smile on his face. "I'd prefer if we could be friends, but I...I understand if we're too different. I know your bosses are probably really hard on you. I don't want you to get in trouble."

“Good, I’m glad there’s no hard feelings then.” The captain stood, stretching and giving a mighty yawn. “But, I guess i’ll give you at least one more pass. If I see you when my hair’s all done up, I’ll not attack you so you can at least relish in your design of it...I mean, if I get it done like you mentioned.”

It was...strange. She held no hatred for this senshi, not that she really ever harbored instant hatred for anyone, that was cultivated and grown over time, but perhaps it was the cookies she had been eating, or perhaps it was just that he seemed like a genuinely nice guy...that Cavansite truly did not want to hurt him, no matter how much she blustered.

“You know, kid. A level headed person like you might do well on our side, did you ever think of that? I wouldn’t mind taking you in if you joined us. We could get our hair done together and it could be pretty fun.” She shrugged, turning to look at him.

Caia had a tired sort of innocence about him; he kept a small smile on his face the entire conversation, even when his brows were knit with uncertainty.

"Oh, I don't know," he confessed. "I'm not really good at making major life decisions, especially on the spot. Truthfully, I never really considered it--but then, I didn't actually even consider joining the Senshi in the first place. Most of the time, I don't really think I'm cut out to be doing any of this. We don't have bosses, so there's no one for me to disappoint."

He wrung his hands together almost nervously and added, "I don't always take criticism very well. But, if I ever think about it, I'll have to come find you! It would be nice to have some powered friends," he confessed. "So--if you ever get tired of the Negaverse and switch sides, you'll have to come find me!"

She gave a smile, and it was uncharastically gentle for Cavansite. “Well, that’s fine. No pressure.” Reaching over, she patted Caia’s head and fluffed his bangs just a little. “Seriously though, maybe I’ll have to meet up with you someday and bring something so you can dye your bangs a little...but I wonder if the dye would hold when you get rid of your senshi outfit…”

Now wasn’t that an interesting question?

“I’ll see you again sometime, perhaps I can convince you to join us another day...but seriously, think it over. I don’t think you could disappoint anyone.” Cavansite winked and gave a little wave.

“I’ll see you around, Caia. Stay sweet.”

Reassured, his smile seemed to stretch to his eyes. He almost even seemed to lean into her touch but managed to properly right himself before looking too silly.

"I'll try. Be safe--and good luck with your hair!" he said, rising and brushing himself off. He waved for good measure before he turned. There was a little skip in his step as he headed off.

Cavansite was, by fair, his favorite Negaverse officer. Even if he wasn't certain that he really wanted anything to do with the Negaverse, she had been nice and seemed like she was the sort to be knowledgeable in most matters.

He wanted to see her again--and not just for her hair.
