There was something that kept nagging at the back of her mind. She'd been out at a little local antiques shop discovered while accidentally taking a wrong turn on her way home from school. The shop hadn't interested her too much at first, until she caught sight of a few of the charms they were selling. They were beautiful little figurines of different mythical creatures, objects related to hobbies, some flowers, and a few other miscellaneous things. She'd made plans to return another day.
Like she'd done today. And spent waaaay too much time in the store. But she did buy a couple charms to add to her collection. One was a little dragon - a way to commemorate her awakening as a senshi - and the other was to represent her friendship with her team.
Okay, she was a little sentimental at times.
Apologizing once again, she dashed out of the store so they could close up for the day. It was definitely much later than she'd thought. But instead of going home, that nagging feeling was back and her feet were leading her towards that.
On a whim, she decided it would be better to investigate as a senshi. And so, after a quick transformation, Seiryuu was on the hunt!

Lily spent more and more time as Juliet, lately -- not because she was particularly interested in 'stopping evildoers' or being evil herself, or whatever sort of things people expected her to do -- but it was, in all honesty, mostly just because she liked the outfit. There was a grace and delicacy to it that nothing she owned could compare to.
Maybe it was the material? She wasn't sure. But she felt otherworldly, ethereal, even ghostlike in her fuku; so it was nice to wear it now and again. And today was on the schedule, anyways; every week like clockwork she left cat food in this alleyway, the good stuff, and presumably Silk came for it. It was never left there on the rare occasions she checked.
She didn't feel Seiryuu's aura coming. She barely noticed auras at all, anyways.

What had she been expecting when henshioning up and dashing off to investigate that nagging feeling? Probably some trouble - because she was good at getting into it - or a scary youma-thing. To date she'd only seen two. So of course she wanted to see if she could make it three!
But when she bounced around the corner of the alleyway and spotted a girl, who in her opinion, wasn't doing anything evil? Okay so maybe it was a bit of a let down.
Seiryuu paused, trying to determine what she was... food of some sort? "Ah... hi there?" She said, trying her best not to startle the other girl. "I... um, was nearby and wanted to know what... I was feeling." Like that was an explanation.
Head tilting curiously she asked, "What're you doing?" Daekie Ah I'm sorry I knew I was forgetting one ;n; <3

"Doing as I'm supposed to be," Juliet replied; she was courteous and polite, even if quiet, even if she looked like a strong breeze would break her bones. There was something uncomfortably fragile about her, with the way the dark colors offset her pale skin - there was nothing necessarily inhuman about her. That would have been an untrue statement. But there was something oddly unsettling about her all the way down.
"The cat who gave me my name -- we have an arrangement, of sorts; I provide him with quality food every week on this day, and presumably he comes to obtain it. I haven't seen him again, but cats are known for their self-reliance, aren't they...?"

As she was supposed to be? Now Seiryuu was even more curious. She didn't feel... threatened by this girl though. Not in the same way she had with a few other encounters she'd experienced. No, but that darker feeling she was starting to associate with "bad things" was still present. Yet this girl? She frowned slightly in confusion.
"The cat... ooooh." Like the cat that had awakened them. "You mean you've never seen if he actually gets it?" She glanced at the cat food. Then smiled a little. "Yeah, guess you do have a point there."
Look back at the girl, she offered her a friendly smile. "I'm Sailor Seiryuu. I felt, well I dunno how to explain it, but I felt you. So I wanted to come see who you were." And hopefully not get her butt kicked.

"Yes," Juliet smiled, "I've never seen if he actually gets it, but I assume he must, you know...otherwise someone else is coming by and stealing cat food, and I can't imagine someone would want to do that." She looked slightly baffled, a quirk of her eyebrow and a mild upturn of her voice contributing.
"Sailor Juliet of the Dark Mirror Court." She curtsied, slender fingers holding the overlay as her head dropped in one graceful movement, then returning to her full height (which was only 4'11 -- it wasn't much). "If you are worried about it, I'm no threat, and I have none of my compatriots with me. But I would prefer we not fight -- it's hard to disguise bruises."

Seiryuu crossed her arms and had to agree. "Well, I sure hope he's the one actually getting it. Especially since you're kind enough to bring out here. Arrangement or not." It was hard not to find someone that cared about the animals threatening...
Her suspicions may not have eased much, but it was quite reassuring to hear that this girl didn't want to fight. Truthfully, Seiryuu didn't much want to either. She was more curious about the other alignments and people. Yet trying to talk with some of them? Yeah... it didn't go very smoothly all the time. So this was refreshing!
"Dark Mirror Court?" She asked, frowning slightly. "I've never heard of that. Only ever heard of, y'know, 'Order' and 'Chaos'." And crazy bitches, but she didn't feel like adding that one in. This Juliet seemed so... well, girly in her opinion. Which meant she didn't feel comfortable cursing too much. "I mean, I know there are other factions within those... but I'm still... learning." She admitted with a sigh.

In the parallel universe where Seiryuu had sworn, Juliet wouldn't have minded much more than in this one -- she held no offense to it, certainly; it just wasn't something she preferred to do. A personal preference, nothing more; hardly some sort of deep-felt conviction or blood debt.
Some people just were, in the way that some things were not built to last. It didn't need to mean anything. It just was.
"I wouldn't want to give you a bad outlook on our Court, bu I assure you - just because we wear dark colors means nothing of our alignment. This isn't our war, necessarily - we're just caught up in it, and we do the best we can."

She frowned a little more, trying to piece together the information Juliet was sharing. Though it wasn't too much, something did stick out that surprised Seiryuu.
"Wait, so your... Court is it? They don't always fight? Or, I guess the better question I was looking for is... they fight both sides?" She hadn't heard anything like that before. Only one verses the other. Now there was a third party that didn't necessarily ally with one or the other either?
Now her head was starting to hurt. But, this was interesting.
Seiryuu glanced at Juliet, really trying to focus this time. She could feel the difference in the energy signature - if she paid attention - from the darker beings she'd run into. "Well, I'm just glad you don't want to fight. And it's nice to meet someone different. Y'know, not trying to kill me or my own side?"

"As I said, our Court is small -- there are many rogues in it, comparatively, who do not reach out to others. I can hardly claim we have a unified stance, but as of our Prince and Princess' beliefs - we have no argument with the Negaverse or your side, you see. However, I cannot claim this for all members of the Court, who may have individual grievances." Juliet's voice was soft and crisp, like a winter breeze; her words clear despite her volume.
"...I appreciate the lack of aggression, too." She ran an absent-minded finger over one wrist, where the slightest bit of a mostly-healed blister poked out from under the cloth. "It's...difficult, to find those who understand my position."

A Court? She hadn't heard of them before, but she was figuring they probably were something like her own team? Perhaps. That was something she'd have to ask the girls about. IF she remembered to.
"It's... kinda nice." Seiryuu said thoughtfully. "To know that not everyone who doesn't radiate the same energy like us means trouble." Though she did get that not everyone would agree. But, maybe these others of her Court would be not so fast to jump the gun and attack?
Seiryuu sighed. There was still so much she had to learn.
"So... how long have you been part of this... Court? You said something about a cat, so they woke you up like me?" Cats! Why was it cats? That was another one she'd have to remember to ask. She really hadn't seen any other cats beyond the one that woke her team up.

"I think the process is different for those of my Court, the awakening," Juliet clicked her tongue, her eyes focused on nothing on particular. "I was actually taken through the mirror by an Eternal of my Court...Lesath, I believe...but I did not know my own name until I came upon a cat to inform me. It wasn't an inherent knowledge, if that makes sense."
She paused, then, trying to recall the date of her awakening. "..Let me think - December of 2015, perhaps? My memory is terrible, but it was somewhere around there...somewhere between December and February, if that helps."

If she hadn't experienced some strange things since her awakening, hearing that Juliet had walked through a mirror would have indeed been very strange to hear. But it definitely wasn't the weirdest at this point and Seiryuu gave the other girl a curious look, puzzles pieces slowly putting themselves together.
"Wait, so you didn't have a cat just awaken you?" She asked, a small frown. "But instead walked through some... mirror?" But a cat had told her what her name was? Seiryuu was so confused. She reached a hand up to run it through her hair. "Okay. Okay so, for me, it was a talking cat that told me my business. And I knew my name." How strange would it be to have this... power but not know who you were?
Seiryuu almost missed mention of when Juliet was awakened. Huh. When had she awoken again? "That's about the time I ran into the talking cat." She admitted, a smile breaking across her face. "We're about the same age, at least in regards to how long we've been at this."

"I don't think we're like you and yours," Juliet admitted, eyes wide - it was the most assertive she'd been the entire conversation, at least with something that was conjectural. "...perhaps we're symbiotic. Or we're parasitical." She didn't really seem all that bothered by the concept -- if evolution didn't need parasites, she'd always thought, there wouldn't be any. Her Court served a purpose; and she didn't need to know what it was to assist in it.
"...I suppose we are. But...no. A cat had to give me the ability to power up, you see - but my Court gave me this outfit and this strength. They gave me a door with a window, but they had no key for the lock." Juliet's brow furrowed. It was difficult, to make comparisons like that. She wasn't sure she was fond of it.

"Huh?" Seiryuu said brilliantly, blinking at Juliet and working out what exactly she meant by 'symbiotic' - that word was a little too big for her vocabulary - and 'parasite'. She tilted her head, regarding the other girl thoughtfully. Was that what those not of her Order were? Parasites? It was an... interesting comparison and something to think about.
"You might be different in ways, but I think... there are similarities too." She admitted slowly. They both had powers. They both got outfits. And they both had someone they worked for or with. Similar enough in her book.
"I guess that just goes to show how ignorant of the other factions I am." Seiryuu sighed, running a hand absently through her hair. "Maybe that's why my curiosity is so strong. I want to know what exactly I've gotten myself into." She offered Juliet a smile. "Y'know, understand more why I am able to power up and fight... things."
A door with no key for the lock? Okay so that one may have skimmed over her head just a bit. But, she was still trying to understand how one could awaken but not know their name. Maybe she'd bother her team with that one.
