He'd just been freshly 'corrupted' as they put it. Not that he found it all that accurate. Corrupt was such a sour sounding word. It was so negative. He would prefer the term enlightened. Maybe enlisted. But corrupted? It was a terrible word that sounded poor on his tongue. Fist curled he was busy trying the various moves that he'd been watching some of the agents practicing. They were fighters, he was not. But as a good student, as a good senshi under the guidance of Metallia, he would do his part and practice too. Even if he got the feeling that he must have looked a bit foolish- Dark violet hair spinning around and equally dark senshi trying to kickbox a non existing enemy in the middle of some room deep in the rift's castle.

The Negaspace was not an area that Dia preferred to lurk, but when she needed to rid herself of distractions and actually think, it was the perfect environment she required. The silence was always eerie, accompanied by the echos of her own heels against the cool stone flooring. On rare occasions, she'd see someone else in the castle, but for the most part it allowed her personal time to herself with no phone, no friends, nothing to bother her. This afternoon, however, her pacing and thoughts were distracted by the sound of someone else's shoes pounding echoes against the castle walls. Too intrigued not to investigate, she approached the room and peeked inside, curious as to what she'd find. He wore purple and pearls, but his actions were anything but the gentleman appearance he otherwise bore. Kicking and punching at the air as though it had offended him for whatever reason. Peculiar. "Senshi are a little more difficult to fight with than air, my friend." Her voice carried itself through the halls and the large room, the candy corrupted making her way slowly into the room. "You may want to consider using live targets for your practice."

The voice took him from that place in his own mind, jumping and stumbling over his own feet before he righted himself. The woman who spoke he expected to be a captain or maybe a general, yet the cracked black mark on her forehead had him sucking in a breath, a smile wide and ambition and delighted formed on his face. Another corrupt. A stronger one than him at that. The type who would likely know just how to become a better aid to Metallia and the negaverse in their goals. Excitedly, Alum went over ready to make the best first impression. "I'd fight a youma or a lieutenant, but one tries to eat me and the other says they can't on the grounds that they're not supposed to." He didn't think it a big deal really. It would just be practice after all. Even if against a senshi it would be magic against magic. "Well, that and my magic doesn't seem to do anything to the dummies. I just get tired and they just don't react. Sooooo-" He trailed off before a smile came over him. "Would you want to practice with me. I'm Alum by the way!" He held out a hand, jumping on his feet. "At your service!"

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction always brought it back. "Alum." The named rolled off her tongue in a delightfully simple way. She preferred names to be short and sweet, for those were the easiest to recall later on, "I'm Dia." She tilted her head down and spread her arms out, issuing a small curtsy as she introduced herself. "I'd be willing to practice, as long as whatever magic you harbor doesn't actually kill me." Or maim me, she thought quietly to herself. Luckily for the male senshi, however, Dia was smug enough to actually believe she could outrun another's attack. "...and as long as you're willing to be subjected to my own target practice?" As the mention of targets, a gumdrop appeared and fell into her open palm as she gave him the sweetest smile she could muster. "I wouldn't worry too hard - I'm only the senshi of candy, after all."

Dia? At first Alum was thinking it had to be short for something but when he failed to think of anything, he accepted it with a small shrug. He'd chosen to call himself after a rock rather than a god. It was easier after all. Plus rocks were neat, gods were just boring. "Pretty sure my magic can't kill. Otherwise they'd not let me wander on my own. I mean, I'm watched but- not well. People have better things to do than baby sit me and my magical butt all day." He smiled, hand pulled back as he did his best to mimic her bow. "But sure! It's only fair right? Magic to magic, like a real fight!" The gumdrop got a curious glance. The young man's mind think how maybe she make for sticky situations? That would kind of be funny. "I am the senshi of the Abyss, for whatever that means." Fists held up, Alun was excited, body tense as he waited for Dia to move first- "Hit me with your best shot!"

The Abyss? What in the world would that mean, when it came to his magic? Dia had a feeling she would soon find out. Not one for especially quick moves (twenty pounds of extra hair tended to do that, to a girl), she wasted no time in darting to the side, hand moving out to launch the gumdrop in the other senshi's direction. Her aim wasn't directed towards any particular part of him - then again, she was never one for sports, anyhow. "Let's see how you like some Candy Coating!" Heels took her a few feet to the left, where she paused and held her breath, waiting with anticipation for the end result of her toss. iStoleYurVamps Sailor Scout Attack Candy Coating Dia conjures a small gumdrop and throws it at her opponent. Aim and strength depends on her personal capabilities (so chance of missing heightens greatly, the further out the enemy is). Should the gumball make contact, it releases a sticky candy goo that covers 1-2 feet of area wherever it hits (so if a head shot, the head/hair is covered, if arm, the arm and shoulder, etc). This thick goo is painless, but thick enough to temporarily blind/slow/irritate the opponent. It fades after 20 seconds. 2 uses per battle.

It was going to be an experience for them both, not that Alum knew that. For him, he just anticipated a whole lot of nothing from his magic. As Dia moved, Alum held up his arms from pure reflex. It did nothing to stop the sudden shimmering covering he got however. "CHRIST!" He yelled, expecting nothing like this. maybe a explosion of some sort but not to become a wildly sticky mess. his arms and torso were entire covered and unable to move. A small shock and tinge of panis, he looked directly at Dia. " Fall." Ghouliboo Sailor Scout Attack: Fall Targeting a single person, Apollo makes eye contact with their target, and puts them into a state of sensory deprivation/hallucination. It can be used twice in battle and last 30 seconds. In this state the target cannot feel, see, hear, taste, touch anything- their mind is active, and they hallucinate that which is their darkest fears. They can still move, attack/lash out and talk, but they cannot infer anything happening around or to them. Ya'll ******** seen Age of Ultron we're pull'n some scarlet witch s**t up in here.

She had barely enough time to smirk at the attack's landing before he called out his own attack. Running to the side had proven futile, as his attack had no issue hitting her head on... or had it? The dark haired senshi faded away, pitch-black darkness settling in around her. She felt herself swallow - or did she? Dia thought she was licking her lips, but the feeling was gone. Sounds were gone. Everything had gone deathly silent, leaving her in an empty space alone. Then... the voices. "You're a horrible excuse for a friend." Her head whipped around as she heard Captain Tourmaline's voice. The crisp tone startled her, the harshness bristling the hair on the back of her neck. What was she doing here? "I can't believe you'd made it this far. You're useless without any money, you realize that, right?" Dia couldn't find her voice, but she also couldn't find the face to go with the cruel voice her best friend had taken on. Why was she talking like this? Was this some sort of awful joke? "Having a daughter was the biggest regret of my life." Other voices began to whisper, but her father's rang out loud and clear over the others. A conversation was happening, but Dia found herself a listener, despite her attempts at objecting. "Worthless. At least I still have my boys." Daddy? She thought she could feel the tears brimming in her eyes, but she wasn't sure. She wasn't sure of anything anymore. Then the voice of her General overpowered that of her father's. "Worthless. What a waste of time - and to think I saw potential in her." Hands flew up to press against her ears as she screamed for it all to stop. It had to stop - all of it, it had to stop now. iStoleYurVamps sorry if I misinterpreted the power, just kinda rolled with it

Alum hadn't any idea what his magic did up until that moment. For a while it looked like it didn't do anything but then? Then he watched Dia just seem to sort of tune out. After that? BREak down. Something was happening, something bad and panic quickly formed. No, he didn't mean to hurt her, not like that! That wasn't good she looked like she was in pain what was happening? 'Dia? DIA?" His voise rose as he pulled at the candy coating trying to get to her, to see if maybe the magic could be stopped. "Dia! Dia talk to me whats happening?" When the candy goop vanished her rushed in grabbing her and trying to snap her from whatever it was that he'd done to her. "Dia please I'm sorry! Magic stop! Stop Fall. Full stop! No. Damn-" He felt helpless. He hadn't wanted to hurt her.

She was still screaming as the voices slowly began to fade, loud murmurs quickly turning to soft mumbles until finally, blessed, lonely, deafening silence. Not that Dia could hear, not with all the screaming she was doing. Wait, her voice had returned? The pinkette snapped back into reality to realize she was being shaken, the face of a concerned new friend staring back at her as Alum's hands gripped her shoulders tightly. Her head ceased the bobbing it was doing, the woman soon crumpling into the young man's arms as she let out an uncharacteristic sob. "What did you do to me?"

Alum was just as shocked as her. He didn't know what he'd done. Something terrible, horrible, terrifying. He'd hurt her. Magic was- this was why they feared senshi then. Because of this? Because he hadn't even known and he'd done something awful, clearly. "I'm sorry Dia. I- I thought it wouldn't do anything. I had no Idea, I- I-" He hugged her, his own hands shaking. "I won't ever do it again, I promise. I won't."

Her breathing calmed over the next few minutes, the comforting embrace of a new friend keeping the shivers and terrors at bay. It was difficult to force out the memory of what had just happened - of what the voices had whispered to her - but she did her best to shrug it off as she took a final, long deep breath. Putting on her best attempt at a brave face, she pulled back and nodded her head slowly. "Okay. Okay, I believe you. I...." Her head turned and eyes glanced back behind her. There was no one but themselves there in the room - it had all been part of his magic. It was unnerving, to say the least....but he was on her side and clearly regretted using it against her. That had to count for something, right? "That was intense." Her voice was still quiet, but the crying had subsided. Instead, a playful tone slowly began to rear its head. "I'm pretty sure the only way to make something like this better is with an ice cream sundae." Turning back to him, her smile grew ever slightly wider. "Interested?"

Head bent, Alum looked at Dia, still concerned, still uncertain. Whatever he'd done had been terrible, and yet he didn't know how to ask. How he could, when she clearly had been so shaken. Another topic for another day. "Yeah um." He tried copy her, to put on a brave front but he lack experience, and it showed. "I'll pay." It was the least he could do, to make up for the mistake that was using his magic on an ally. A friend.
