Prompt: "I never thought it'd be this hard to find a good drummer," Torri groaned, in her current sprawled state on her sofa. "It''s a good thing I soundproofed the room anyway, else the rest of the mansion'd likely have come by with pitchforks yesterday, music lovers or not."
The
small bat she was talking to couldn't help but cackle a bit at that as he grabbed at some of the leftover food from the day before. "But it was still fun! I think yer guitar-playin' and singin' more than covered for those losers," he says before stuffing some half-stale chips in his face.
The rocker rolled her eyes, though they were currently closed as she rubbed her temple, the effects of too much drinking the night before lingering. "You're just trying to flatter me, Echo, but seriously, the washing machine in this joint has more rhythm than they all had combined."
The bat just laughed again, but offered, "I could be yer drummer!" where he proceeded to grab two discarded drumsticks and clang them upon the nearby counter and dishes haphazardly, cackling all the while.
Torri winced and flailed in his general direction "Stop it, stop it! I swear to Zek, I can hear the color purple right now, and you're not helping. Get me some coffee or something, I need to get rid of this hangover before gaming tonight."
"Yer gonna need more than coffee to handle an online session with those crazies, you know there's a lot of yelling involved when it comes to yer shoot 'em ups, just as much from you as them! I think you should just take the day off, this combination of jam sessions and game sessions is gonna make yer brain explode one of these days," he replies, though he does scoot to put a pot of coffee on, while looking for some sort of food that isn't a) junk or b) out of date, a difficult mission.
"Meh, I'd get more of an earful later if I missed a session," she says, waving a hand dismissively. "I promise I'll try to rest up today, finish cleaning up tomorrow, and then maybe, MAYBE, try my luck at finding another drummer this weekend, ugh...maybe I should just stay solo."
"Forget the drummer, ya just need a groupie or five," Echo snickers. "You'll be much happier and less stressed then!"
