The Academy includes a large, formal dining room running down the length of a cloister-like hall. The dining room features four long tables running the length of the hall with benches to either side and walking areas located in between. Students are able to sit not only with their teams, but other groups.
Like all parts of the academy buildings, the dining hall is somewhat gothic in appearance. The walls are marked with the academy's crossed-ax logo.

Sigmund had walked into the dining hall to get something to eat after he had dropped his things off in the room his team was assigned, although he hadn't unpacked. It seemed he was the first one to arrive at the room for his team at the least, although considering he was hungry had decided to come to his current location. The boy had arrived at the academy later than he wanted, but couldn't really help it because his sister made sure he checked that he had everything at least twice. The girl was a handful sometimes, but he loved her. "Probably just get something light.....maybe cereal?" He thought to himself, before deciding to go with that idea. It was his second year here, so he didn't have to worry about attending the initiation like first year do. That also meant that classes didn't start until the next day, so it gave the boy a chance to unwind. After getting some cereal, Sigmund walked to one of the more empty tables before taking a seat. "I wonder how this year will shape up. Last year was pretty average it seemed, although I am glad for the experience I've learned from everything. That being said......I wonder how the new students are shaping up?" The second year muttered to himself resulting in him pulling out his scroll. Sigmund turned on the device, and typed in his password in order to reach the link that would allow him to view the exam. "Curious to see how they shape up, and who will potentially become our comrades in arms." He thought as he began eating away at his meal.

The twins casually stepped into the dining hall, chatting with each other quietly as they headed to get some food. Despite knowing that they might not really eat here that often, as they tended to eat mostly small snacks throughout the day as their stomachs still weren't used to handling as much food as they had access to now, they figured at least for the first day or two they could show up, maybe meet people. They got one tray between them and grabbed a small amount of food. Just a single helping of meat, a serving of veggies, and two pieces of bread with glasses of water before making their way to a table to start eating. It was relatively empty right now but, it wasn't exactly like they were overly familiar with being crowded. Still, part of the reason they were here was to meet up with one of their new teammates, Tyzan.
"Hey, Amber? Don't freak out or anything, but...have you ever thought of...going back?" Amber stopped in the middle of putting some meat on her slice of bread and slowly turned to her sister."No, why? There's nothing left but bones and sand. You know that. There's no point in going back." Sienna fidgeted a bit in her seat. "Well...I know no one else is around and I'm not expecting to find it rebuilt...but...maybe their weapons are still around? We could fix them up. Build a little memorial or something...you know, since we couldn't bury them." Amber took a breath before noticing someone approaching. "Later." Sienna sighed and nodded before returning to making her own snack.

✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧It seemed like Stella wasn't the first of Team STRS to arrive to their assigned room. From the looks of it, Sigmund had gotten there first. That's what I get for sleeping in today, I suppose, she'd thought with a shrug. Her unpacking had been interrupted by a deep growling sound from her stomach. Blushing, the faunus sighed. "Hmm. Rainer might get mad if I just leave my stuff half-done like this. Ah, but I'm far past being able to focus on organizing..." Breakfast suddenly took priority for the young woman, and she headed down to the dining hall. Preparing a well-portioned plate, she realized the more timely member and leader of their team seemed to have already made his way down here. Stella picked up her plate and trotted over to him, waving as she neared. "Sig! What are you watching?" With a curious expression, the lavender-haired woman glanced over his shoulder to see the initiation in-process for the first years. Had she missed the notification?! This being the first initiation they'd be able to view, Stella had been quite excited to set her eyes on it, but it seemed like her fellow students had gotten a good way through the Emerald Forest.
"Anyone standing out?" She quickly pulled her scroll out of her jacket pocket, flipped it open, and brought up the initiation herself. So it had been on silent, of course. Stella couldn't believe she was missing this over a reason so silly. Stuffing a big slice of ham into her mouth, she kept her eyes glued to the screen. The first years were showing some progress, diverting the chase of a ridiculous group of grimm at the suggestion of a dark-haired guy in the group. That sort of thing will definitely mark someone as leader material. While that plan worked out well enough, the were quickly met by two griffons and a- "What... is that...?" Stella asked, bringing the screen closer to her face, narrowing her eyes. Hopefully, Sigmund would catch on to the obvious eyesore, a spider-shaped grimm she'd never even seen before. A monster like that made the Emerald Forest its home? If this was a new classification of grimm, then it'd be impressive to see how these first years choose to take it on. Although... there will probably be a recon mission or two going up soon for information on the thing.

Things were looking very interesting for the initiation so much so that the boy was focused on it more than his surroundings. This caused him to not notice his teammate, Stella, waving as well as jump a bit from her calling to him when she glanced over his shoulder. Sigmund's cheeks reddened ever so slightly at being spooked a bit as he looked at the Faunus with a slight frown. "Sorry, didn't realize you were there. Figured everyone else wouldn't arrive anytime soon.....especially you. I'm a bit surprised you aren't catching up on sleep." He mentioned with a slight joking tone as the girl sat down. Upon mentioning the initiates, his red eyes looked back at the screen. The boy placed the device on the table, and bringing up a second smaller tab that took a small portion of screen to the left. It displayed some basic information of the underclassmen on the screen. There were a few that were interesting or showed promise in his opinion. "I haven't caught the full thing. I managed to tune in a bit before the Griffons showed up. Elliot Vermilion, Sage Tempest, Opal Lilla, Noir Alcott, Mauve Ackles, Svalrvænn Hildrhárr, Crimson Armato, and Carmine Hervor. Those eight seem to be standing out among the rest." His eyes turned towards Stella as he mentioned the ones that stood out to him. "Elliot Vermilion is Glenda Goodwitch's son. Seems to have leader characteristics, but a bit brash at the same time. That Noir kid is interesting in regards to that Grimm showing friendliness to him....then again it does look different than a standard. The other one that interest me more than the others in that group is Carmine Hervor....." Sigmund started enlarging her general info as well as displaying the Aura levels of the initiates. At this point his meal had been completely ignored, but he had eaten a decent amount. The event was more interesting to him currently. The initiation could still be seen in a smaller screen now."I haven't seen her use her Semblance like Elliot or display anything else besides her fighting skills. She rather skilled for not having to resort to using her unique skill or Aura."He finished sliding his scroll over to Stella more. Red eyes went back to the the smaller tab displaying the fight."A spider Grimm? Another new sub-species huh? They continue to keep evolving as always. We might want to look into any potential mission that comes up involving those creatures." The leader mentioned with a frown not liking that there was another new species. "What do you think of the new first years?" The boy questioned the purple haired Faunus wondering what her opinion was on any of them.

The Byzantium haired boy would walk in shortly after the twins sat down with they're food, walking to get his own food and rubbing the sleep from his eyes, obviously not having gotten much sleep during the night, between staying up late to draw and having to listen to his characters bickering, characters that quite literally hop off the page for him. He'd take a large serving of meat and a decent sized portion of vegetables. After getting what he wanted he'd step out and pause to look around"Now then...I remember being told I was teamed up with twins,so where...there they areHe'd take a deep breath and put on a smile before he walks over to them.

✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧Deciding to let the sleep comment fly, Stella just listened and ate as Sigmund went on about the first years. Her eyes glanced back and forth between his scroll and her own. Elliot, Sage, Opal, Noir, Mauve, Crimson, Carmine, and Svalver...what? Eugh, what a name. It wasn't unlikely that these guys would have some classes with them. This was a good chance to actually see what they were made of. "Goodwitch's son?" Stella didn't even know that she had a kid, not that something like that was her business. Sig was right, though; he did seem like a decent leader. What would one expect from such an upbringing, though? The faunus couldn't imagine having Glynda Goodwitch as a mother. She watched, impressed as half of them worked together to take down the griffons. Those were higher-level grimm, after all.
"Carmine Hervor? It is a little weird that she hasn't used her semblance, but don't forget not every semblance is battle or situation-appropriate." Semblances varied as much as the people who used them. Some were very versatile while others extremely specific. Some were obvious while others very subtle. Simply not being able to distinguish whether or not someone is using the full ability certainly doesn't mean they aren't. The very point of Stella's own semblance was to go unnoticed. Though, it was a little strange if she wasn't relying very much on her aura. "Perhaps she hasn't unlocked it yet," she stated before sipping on her glass of milk. That sort of thing wasn't unheard of but rather rare. At Sig's question of her opinion on the initiates, she narrowed her eyes at the screen before shaking her head.
"I haven't seen enough to form a detailed opinion." She stretched back a bit. "Buuuuut," Stella yawned, "They all seem pretty capable in their own merit." The first years flying into action to work on taking this grimm down in makeshift teams while most likely not knowing each other was pretty impressive. Not a lot of people could do that. Back during their initiation, Stella had been a little more adamant than not on working by herself before partnering up with anyone. She'd even run into Sigmund a little earlier than expected, as well. Luckily, she's gotten quite used to working in a group since. They'll fit in just fine. It looked like things in the initiation were going to wrap up soon. The group with Sage, Mauve, Noir, and Crimson only had half a griffon left, and Elliot, Carmine, Opal, and... Hild looked as though they had the arachnid-looking grimm handled. She sighed. As soon as this was over, it'd be back to unpacking.

Sigmund's head had nodded in response to Stella's question about Elliot. He assumed the boy was either adopted or preferred to use Vermilion as his last name due to the fact of of one not wanting to be in the shadow of their parent. The boy couldn't honestly remember which was the reason, but it didn't really matter either way. "Yea you're right about potentially not being battle oriented, but it could also be that she doesn't know what it is yet. Especially, if her aura isn't unlocked just yet. If that's the case she's rather impressive to not having to rely on it. Probably would be a heavy hitter with it for sure." He surmised, before his eyes went back to the fight. It did look as if it would be over soon. Be interesting to see all the first years in person, and congratulate them, then again he highly doubt they would know him or Stella. They were only second years after all. "I'm not surprised that they'll pull through. Professor Ozpin does have an eye for talent after all. I'm curious to see if those group of eight end up in two teams of four for the official placement...." He muttered mainly to himself. The man also seemed to have a good eye for teams that would mesh well in one way or another. Even ones that were.....interesting in personality terms to say the least. All in all he enjoyed his team, and all the amusement that came with being a part of this new little family.
Red eyes went back to the Faunus girl as she sighed rolling his eyes a bit with a small smile. The girl never got the proper amount of sleep, which he had gotten used to. There was also the matter of having to finish unpacking, but he wasn't up to it right now. He would finish it in the afternoon ,besides it wasn't like there was a lot he had to unpack. Just the essential stuff which was pretty much just clothes and personal items. "We'll probably end up taking a liking to these new first years. Maybe even do a mission or two with some of them. Who knows, I'm interested to see how they grow from what I've seen. For all I know could even take an interest in the 'cute boys'." Sigmund stood up and stretched a bit to help wake up his body, which produced popping noises. It was fun to make light jest to the girl about some of her little quirks. One would have to be careful though considering, Sigmund had his fair share of quirks, and even embarrassing moments that he'd gone through in life and within his first year. He had caught her talking about 'cute boys' from time to time throughout the first year being a part of the team. "Do you think we should go to the team naming ceremony or would you rather skip it? We could always just watch it over the scroll. I'm not in such a rush to do much today. The 'fun' starts tomorrow after all." A sigh escaped his lips at the thought of school starting back up. It was one of the necessary evils that he needed to go through to become a full fledged hunter. A thought entered his mind, before looking back at Stella. "That reminds me, how was your break? Hope it wasn't a bad one." Sigmund questioned collecting his left over dishes to go dump the trash, and take to get cleaned.

✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧Stella was ready to agree with Sigmund until he mentioned "cute boys." Such a comment made her turn a deep shade of pink as she swallowed the bit of food she was chewing on rather hard. To be fair, he wasn't wrong. None of the first year guys were unattractive. That, however, was not the sort of comment she expected from her fellow team member. "Why would you say such a thing?" the faunus girl asked, waving her fork at him. Stella was obviously flustered. It wasn't like she gossiped about guys that often, and even if she did, that was something she'd call Solis about. Then again... those phone calls weren't necessarily subtle. Team STRS had probably heard such things more than once... She couldn't see Sig being interested in that sort of conversation, Tala was up in the air, though Rainer would probably listen... and then scold her for her tastes. After putting her fork and scroll down, she brushed her hair back with her hands and let out a deep breath, an attempt to compose herself.
"Anyway..." she started, obviously attempting to divert the subject back to the topic at hand. "Yeah, the team naming ceremony could be fun. Just gotta make sure I finish packing and hang up my signs later." With that, Stella pulled a white piece of paper from seemingly nowhere and held it up for Sigmund to see:
TUTORING: Hit the Books or Hit the Battlefield! Need help passing that exam or outshining your rival? With the cheapest prices on campus, I'll make sure you get the grade! Free open session to all once a month!
For scheduling, contact Stella Nila at...
The flyer proceeded to list several forms of her contact information as well as several doodle-looking drawings of a book, a sword, and, as if relevant, a cow. There were several bulletin boards around campus. They were her targets, though there was no promising these would just get overlooked. Stella had them printed over the break so she could get more tutees and by proxy, more money. Though she wished there were a more effective way to get the student body's attention. I wonder if I could send out a mass-email. The entire campus can be broadcasted the initiation, and we get school-oriented notifications all the time. Hmm... would probably need special permission from Professors Ozpin or Goodwitch, though. Sigmund's question about break interrupted.
"Break was fine. I got to spend a lot of time with my family, so I'm grateful for that." Seeing her sisters was always a blessing since she started training. Most of her focus had to go into getting better and exploring new opportunities, so getting all this time at home was really great. Folding up the paper, she began assembling her things as well to go toss them. "What about you?"

Sigmund merely tilted his head a bit at her question. It was fun to poke at people a bit, which was something he developed from being an older brother. He'd do it from time to time to his sister, and as such became a part of his personality in time throughout the years."Hmmm, merely curious to see how'd you react, and if you were able to refrain from being embarrassed......plus it's rather amusing." The boy mentioned in a rather innocent manner, although was anything but. Everyone had their types that they're attracted to. His type of girl that he was generally interested in wasn't one he'd easily reveal. Mainly due to not wanting to be teased about it if he happened to see someone that happened to catch his eye in passing. His sister, Amber would tease him about a girl glancing at him from time to time or vice versa. Mainly to get a reaction out of her brother, but such was the duty of being a younger sister to an older brother.
Red eyes blinked a couple of times when his Faunus teammate was in agreement on attending the ceremony albeit with one condition. When she pulled out the white piece of paper he quickly read it. A small smile and roll of his eyes quickly followed in reaction to reading it. That was Stella offering to help people in one way or another namely in tutoring in some fashion. Part of the reason for her sleep deprived charm. She made it work somehow considering she was still apply do stay awake in classes, and have some free time. "Glad to hear that you had a good break then. Sure your family was happy to see their daughter." Sigmund responded as he walked with the girl to toss their things. "My break wasn't too bad. Seems my parents may be thinking about expending his business to add a place where my mom can add a small dinner or something to provide some nourishment to customer's that may want something. I mainly spent time with them, and trained from time to time to keep from being lazy." There really wasn't much else for him to do besides helping his mother around the house, although he didn't really mind having down time. "If you need help posting up your signs let me know. Don't mind putting a few of them up around the school. Wanna head back to the room and just get packing finished?" Sigmund questioned wondering what Stella was going to do, or if she had somethings she wanted to take care herself. The team wasn't always together after all.

✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧Goodness. Of course his only reasoning to warrant a reaction. It should have come as no surprise to Stella. She only sighed as she recovered. It was nice to see Sigmund again, and she couldn't wait to meet up with the rest of their team. Being away from everyone over the break was a little sad, after all. Stella was glad to hear that he enjoyed his break, though. It took her a moment to remember what exactly it was his parents did... something in small business. Honestly, she was little jealous since he didn't have to travel very far to go back home. Not as if something like that can be helped either way. Walking over to dump their things, she still had her scroll in her hand, watching the feed. Things seemed to be focusing on the four with the arachnid grimm. They'd been working hard to take the thing out.
As confusing-name moved and worked to freeze the bridge, Elliot used Carmine's shield to boost himself to higher ground. Ah, I see. Taking out the walkway altogether. Very clever."I'm not sure we have too much time. They seem to be finishing up," Stella answered to Sig's question of what she wanted to do. If things worked out for Elliot and his makeshift team, then the first years wouldn't be too long now. If they wanted to go watch the team naming ceremony, and she did, then they'd have to unpack and move quickly. In spite of this decision, the faunus stopped in her tracks, putting her now free hand over her mouth. One of the first years aura broke before she passed out. Her name was Opal, right? Thankfully, Carmine, the one that stood out to Sig, was quick enough to do something about it. Stella parted her lips, a breath of relief passing through them. That was too close...
"Sorry," the girl murmured to her partner for stopping so abruptly. This fight had her pretty captured, but the true marking of the end was when Elliot dropped from above. He moved through debris like it was nothing before using Opal's spear to further damage the grimm as well was the walkway below. Stella whistled and motioned her scroll toward Sigmund. "Check it out. They handled it pretty well." It also seemed like the other group had taken out both of the griffons. "Heh, we should be careful." If they weren't it was possible these first years were just going to sky rocket past their team. She, of course, was simply teasing Sigmund. Had she said such a thing around either of the other members, she wouldn't have heard the end of it
"Anyway, yeah. I'm going to finish unpacking and then head over to the ceremony, if you're doing the same." She was a little worried about passing out beforehand. It was probably best to stick with Sig so he didn't let her miss the thing.
