The first thing Jet noticed when he powered up was the aura of an eternal senshi nearby. He frowned, not cursing his luck just yet, but knowing that he would have to proceed with caution. The area was mostly abandoned, so if he tried powering back down and the senshi looked for him, it would be pretty awkward to try and explain why some kid was wandering around abandoned warehouses in the middle of the night when it was cold and snow still covered the ground from the recent storm.
He could just teleport away, but the opportunity to try and snag an eternal senshi’s starseed was tempting.
“Good evening,” he called out, knowing the senshi must be close enough to hear him, not yet drawing his weapon, wanting to look as unassuming as possible. After all, he was a relatively scrawny teenager with a mop of dark curly hair, a small smile highlighting his boyish features. Infinities Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to edit! <3

It was a nice, if somewhat cold, night, and Scylla was inhaling, trying to center her emotions. Yesterday had been difficult, and her mind and thoughts were scattered ashes. She'd hoped that maybe she would be able to find a familiar (or at least a friendly) face, someone she could talk to and try to repress her condition for another year. But so far, there had been no sign of anything good. One really teeny youma that didn't even require effort, a few civilians who'd been quite embarrassed to have been caught making out... Ah. And there it was- the oily, jagged-edged feel of a General. Not how she'd wanted to spend her night. Scylla had never been faced with a general on her own (she'd had a court, a patrol partner, something), but she knew the theoretical basics- teleport in, rip out starseeds, prance back off like nothing had happened. Don't try to hand-to-hand them, pray that she didn't have to pull out her attack on them, or just run. Still, maybe she could take advantage of the fact she was tiny, if he turned out to be violent. No one as short as Scylla could be a threat, right? Prancing off might have been what she'd do, shortness be damned, if a voice hadn't called out to her in greeting. Good evening. "Pleasant enough," she called back. "I'd hate for it to get ruined. I have plans for tomorrow." Peeking her head around the corner, she waved to the General, taking in the tragically young appearance. Her other hand curled around the Ashen Lilac Crystal hanging at her wrist, lips pursing in consideration. The crystal had a range of 10 feet before she could Spot them. "I do hope you're one of those talk-first-stab-later kind of Generals. It makes for a much better evening all around, honestly, and I hate getting stabbed." Guine be gentle, how do actual battle

It was a woman. Short in stature. Probably not the best fighter, but Jet knew that physical prowess had nothing to do with the magic senshi possessed. He knew that very well. He’d been the subject of plenty of magical attack long before he’d become a General.
“Depends on what you have to talk about,” Jet replied indulgently, still not drawing his weapon, but he did take slow, calculated steps in her direction. He should be cautious. She wasn’t attacking right away, so that could be exactly what he needed to take advantage of the situation.
“What did you plan on accomplishing all the way out here? Looking for weaker Lieutenants and Captains to attack and kill, perhaps? Or were you just going after the youma? Doesn’t seem to be too populated of an area for necessary patrols. Or do you live around here, maybe? Is this your checkpoint before powering down and going home? Do you have a car around here? Is someone going to be meeting you to pick you up?” he asked, quite curious as to what she might have to say.
And then when he was bored with her, he would just finish her off and take her starseed as his prize. Infinities it’s just like riding a bike! A deadly bike… with magic and pointy weapons. sad

The General began to walk in her direction, and Scylla jumped up onto the barrier between them, to get a better view of the overall field- not at all to prepare to avoid him. He was innocuous, and she might feel bad about her caution later, but one didn't get where they were on his side of the fight by being incompetent. "I was just out for a walk," she told him with a chipper note to her voice. "I don't pick fights, General, I just defend myself if attacked, and the only agent I've ever killed left me no choice. My only issue is with the youma that attack regular civilians. Most of you seem to be leaving people alive these days, and that's enough for me." He seemed particularly interested in her escape plans, or her personal life. "I don't live around here," she said with a smile, "But that is what cars tend to be for." she didn't confirm if it was nearby- it wasn't close enough, that was for sure- or if she had someone coming to pick her up. "Don't worry, I've no reason to be here in my civilian life, and I rarely come here as a senshi. I much prefer warmer parts of town." Her violet eyes considered him. "And what brings you out this way? You seem very comfortable- do you come here often?" She tilted her head inquisitively, long black curls falling over one shoulder, trying to keep her face neutral and harmless. It was like dealing with a snake, she imagined, or a potentially violent stray dog. Could work out well. Prepare yourself, however, to get bitten.

She was a cautious one it seemed. Wise choice her to place distance between the both of them, even if Jet simply kept his hands by his side, his black cape fluttering somewhat in the cold wind. This senshi claimed she didn’t pick fights, but he didn’t believe her. It was difficult to believe senshi after what he’d seen them do. What he knew they were capable of doing.
“Jet,” he said as he flashed her a smile, “My name. Although I appreciate you calling me by my rank.” It was better than “kid” or “boy” or whatever clever little thing someone could think of. “And you are…?” he prodded, wondering if she would give him her name. No matter, he already knew what she looked like. Surely there were reports of an Eternal senshi with dark hair in white and blue.
“Not often, no. Just out for a walk, myself,” he explained, although he hoped the Lieutenant he was waiting for would show up sooner than later. “I’m comfortable in all parts of the city. There’s nothing for me to really be concerned about after all. Especially if there are more like you who don’t like picking fights,” he said, still waiting and watching for the right moment. The moment she would slip up.
His hand flexed by his side and his smile twitched at the corners into something more cruel as he watched her, his hate for senshi already boiling his blood.

'Jet' flashed her a smile, and habit had her give him one in return, the bright, vacant smile of a debutante, that didn't reach her eyes. "You killed for your rank," she said simply, "And I survived for mine. It would be foolish of me to mistake you for anything other than dangerous just because you have a face that belies your rank." Honesty was the weapon she would prefer to use tonight, not her magic. "Though I can call you Jet if you'd prefer." She shifted her weight, grateful, at least, that she hadn't slid into sloth while she was away playing model. She was still in good enough shape to book it to someplace with a bit more cover; even with his teleportation abilities she could probably remain agile enough to get to someplace she could de-power and slide into the late night streets. "Scylla," she told him after a moment. "Let me be plain with you, Jet, I'd be quite content to just wander off and pretend we didn't see each other tonight. You're not killing anybody, and everyone needs a little exercise; so frankly, I'm thinking it is a good idea for me to head off that way." she thumbed in one direction- the opposite direction of her car. His hand twitched, and her eyes left his shifting face, attention turning to his side for one moment.

As much as he would have liked to say what she suggested was true, it was actually quite inaccurate. Not that he expected a senshi to care about whether they were right or who really was doing the killing and who was doing the surviving. He’d done a lot more for his rank than killing.
It was enough to have his fingers twitching, his grin twisting into something less charming as she introduced herself and announced her plan to wander off. Unfortunately for her, she was already underestimating him, and an eternal senshi’s starseed was more appealing than returning empty handed.
There was a rush of wind as Jet stepped forward, focusing his energy on disappearing as she made to turn away, appearing a split second later beside her on the barrier, the dual bladed staff materializing in his hand as he nimbly landed, putting all of his weight into swinging the blade around, looking to cut her in half if at all possible. Jet’s Weapon Magic The blades temporarily "petrify" eight inches around the area the blade cuts, making the area becomes hard and heavy. Lasts up to fifteen seconds. The victim will also not bleed nor be able to feel the extend of their injuries from the wound while the petrification lasts, causing a delay in the pain.

The blink was all it took- he vanished, and Scylla shifted. It was that shift that saved her life. He could go anywhere, yes, but he surely couldn't teleport into thin air. And hopefully he wouldn't want to. Her shift wasn't a leap, it was a skip to the side, assuming he would try and get her from behind. She was wrong- it was the side, and the blade he was swinging cut through the outside of her fuku, barely scraping the skin of her side. It was enough to knock her off balance, as the magic began to petrify her side. s**t. She ******** hated Generals. " Black Spot!" she snapped, choosing to summon her Crystal's power first. She would have to avoid him again to get her attack off, or accept the risk that came with another hit, but the power of the Crystal would help her in sensing his movements should he teleport again to try and distract her. If it cut off, she knew to run, fast and far, because he could return with reinforcements. Scylla jumped back, cursing the heaviness that the petrification was causing- it would, potentially, slow her, and she couldn't go hand to hand with him. He had reach on her, certainly, until she could get out her own... weapons. "You shouldn't have woken the sleeping monster, General Jet." Guine Ashen Lilac Crystal Ability The Black Spot A tracking ability, this works like the black spot of lore. Scylla curses a target within 10 feet, and she is able to track them. No matter how far away they get or how weak in level they are, she can feel their aura for a maximum of 30 minutes. It is not a situation of "Lieutenant Loser is in front of a red door, with a sign saying 'Slappy's Slapstick Joint'" or some other form of magical Google Maps. This is a sensation of direction and approximate distance. This does not give her the ability to follow them if, for example, they get sucked through one of the mirrors or into the Negaverse area: She cannot differentiate if they went to the Rift/Mirrorspace/Planet/Wonder/Died/Powered down- it is just like bad cell phone service. It cuts off. If her target, however, only teleports or mirrorwalks away, she can still follow them.

He was expecting magic, so it was no surprise when she yelled out an attack. Jet tensed as he followed through on his swing, waiting for the magic to take effect.
But nothing happened.
He stared at her, then down at himself, patting over his jacket and turning his hand from back to palm as if expecting there to be black spots or whatever she’d meant by her magic. But there was nothing. It irritated him. Maybe she missed even though he was right there??
“Pathetic…” he spat, gripping tightly to the center of his staff, ignoring whatever she was mumbling about. Some sleeping monster she was. Apparently completely missing with her magic. And yes, she was lucky this time. She was able to dodge his attack by just a fraction, but she couldn’t possibly be that lucky twice in a row. It was a complete guessing game, should he teleport again…
And he did just that, but this time raising his weapon to come down on her, appearing once more, but this time directly in front of her. He knew he was using a lot of energy right off the bat, but the sooner he ended this, the sooner he could leave with his prize.

The fact that he took a moment to stare at her, and then pat himself down was all the reprieve she needed. She shifted from her landing position, grounding herself, and listened to him spit pathetic rather apathetically, instead taking that moment to reach into the power tingling under her skin. Did anyone else, she wondered, ever feel like their power was alive? For hers did, the magic shifting under her skin in motionless hunger, and now it pulsed to her fingers, down to her toes. He lifted his weapon, teleported again, and this time, she was ready. She moved backwards, and when the General reappeared, the senshi of the Kraken was ready, her attack on the tip of her tongue. "Scylla's Hunger!" she cried, and the magic unfurled, limbs reaching from the ground between her and the General, grasping at and seeking their prey. Hold, she thought frantically, trying to remember how to control it. Every time it was like trying to remember how to ride a bike, and it had been so long since she'd had to attack someone, it was like there truly was a hunger. I need to outlast him. She didn't know how long his ability would keep her weighed down. Outlast him. Two arms should be more than enough. They swung at him, seeking, like grasping hands, with sucker-teeth. Guin3 Super Sailor Ability: Scylla's Hunger What it does: Sailor Scylla is able to create what looks like tentacles, but instead of suckers on them they appear to have tiny teeth. These tentacles can either grab and hold the opponent, the small mouths tearing at the enemy's flesh, or strike the opponent. Scylla can create up to 12 of these tentacles at once, an absolute maximum. One tentacle can be maintained for up to a full 120 seconds, each subsequent tentacle draining time off of this maximum. The full 12 tentacles averages 30 seconds and leaves her able to walk- they could last for longer, but the effort of maintaining them would leave her severely drained from their use and therefore completely helpless when they wore off. Maintaining them longer would therefore be a last-ditch resort, only if she knew help was on the way. She can use her maximum number of tentacles once per day, and any mix of the other tentacles would vary on usage and stress. The downside to this is that for all the added control, Scylla also feels things done to the Kraken's limbs more keenly. Punch the tentacle, cut a tentacle and you're punching Scylla's... well, essentially, her magic. The pain she takes can vary from 'ow you punched me' to 'you knifed me in the side, you jerkoff.' This can lower the duration time of her power, and really, really prove a distraction. *edited because I forgot an AT, meaning it sounded like they grabbed him, and that is your choice.

Jet wasn’t sure how, but Scylla managed to accurately guess just where he would appear. His eyes widened in surprise, not only because of the resolute expression on her face, but she cried out another attack. Was the first one just a distraction??
He’d barely had time to land when terrifying looking tentacles shot out of the ground and right for him, one wrapping around his wrist and the other he tried to kick as it went for his shin, but missed. “What the hell?!” he sputtered, letting out a sharp gasp of pain as the tentacles bit him. They bit him! He could already see blood trickling down his wrist where it bit him, and could hear the tearing of the fabric of his pant leg as the other wrapped around him.
“Get off,” he growled, switching hands with his weapon so he could swing the blade at the base of the tentacles, trying to cut them off of him, but the sharp, stabbing pain was messing with his aim.
No matter, as long as he could endure it long enough to pull himself free, he would simply just kill her for what she did to him.

Scylla watched him struggle, taking a moment to center herself and focus, pressing a hand to the strangely-petrified cut at her side. Had he cut flesh? She couldn't tell, both because she couldn't feel anything past the stone of her cut fuku, and because it was so damn cold out she could hardly feel her fingers. "I warned you, Jet." Scylla breathed out, trying to decide her next move. She didn't know how long this handicap on her side would last, if he would teleport out, if his panic would override his logic. "I told you I didn't want to fight. Don't make me hurt you." She should run, while he was still trying to fight off the tentacles. She could create more, if he tried to chase, and unless he tried to teleport outside of their area, they would continue to try and latch back on until he fled. Seeing him on the ground, squirming, flailing at her- ah! His weapon struck one of the tentacles near the base, petrifying the root into the ground, her wrist burning briefly. "Stop struggling," she told him, "We can both walk away from this." Struggling as he was, it would have been easy to press the offensive. Her Court would be ashamed of her. How far Scylla had fallen from the fearless drive that had made her a valuable member of the team. She just had to hold him until the petrification wore off. Then she would be free to move fast, and she could leave him to the mercy of her limbs.

”Dumb - b***h -” Jet hissed as he tried to wriggle free of the tentacles, unable to get a good enough grip on his weapon to stab at the slimy appendages since they were so close, so he tried hitting at them, and kicking at them, and ripping his arm free, leaving his wrist bitten and bloody.
“You’ll pay for that,” he growled, his eyes locked onto the senshi. He was already worn down. He could start to feel using so much energy to teleport not once, but twice. He pushed himself up, pulling his arm free so he could swing his weapon once more, and then trying for a third time to teleport, this time behind her.
He swung his weapon hard, but perhaps teleported a little too close for the range he had, and would probably end up hitting her with the staff of his weapon instead of the sharp, deadly part. That is, if she didn’t manage to magically guess where he would appear and get out of the way.
But there was no way she could do it twice.
Not only that, but he was pissed that she would talk to him so calmly afterwards. The I warned you mocking him because she was hardly a decent opponent at this rate.
At least as far as he knew. He tended to forget how quickly tides could change.

Well. That was unfortunate. The General didn't seem to want to consider calling it a draw and walking away, so Scylla would have to be the one to do it. It both relieved her, and went against her nature. Some corner of her mind reveled in the fight, her blood rushing as her power channeled through her. It was a side she pushed at, shoving away, but it pulsed harder against her pulse, a need. Scylla is a weapon, born to suffer so others wouldn't have to. We all have a star in our heart... and two curled fists to keep it RIGHT ******** there. Scylla doesn't get the luxury of weakness. You are a fighting senshi...a highly effective face-breaking machine Evil doesn't need to have its head chopped off- but it helps. What are you? You are mad as hell, and you aren’t gonna take it anymore! You'll pay for that. No; that would be him. The General swung, teleporting again- foolish of him, he should have saved the energy for that undefined moment when they would be at an impasse- and she spun in towards the place that he had vacated, into the security of her Kraken's grasping arms, and as he appeared at the place he had thought to strike, he was greeted by still more of the Kraken's limbs, intent on fulfilling the rage that was bubbling in her breast, the magic responding as it always did, an eager puppy to Scylla's increasing fury. Andromache's mother had said ' It is the many arms of the Great One that keep us safe' hadn't she? Jada could remember it, she'd remembered it long ago. If Jet was going to continue to attack her, then her safety would be bought at the price of his fear. She held back- she had to hold back, even still; but she pressed the intent to harm, to hurt, to hurl, to tear. She had a minute, maybe, with what she had now, but a lot of hurt could be dished out in one minute. Hurt was certainly the intent, as six of the limbs descended on the General like a cage, hungry maws seeking to tear. She'd sent other (dubiously better, definitely scarier-looking) Generals flying; she'd do the same or worse to him- if she had to. Hopefully, if he broke free, he'd run; if not, she'd do what she had to. " Never. Attack. Me. Again." Guine You said I could kick his butt, so... kicks ahoy. Have at him.

There had to be a way she was able to pinpoint where he was, but for the life of him he couldn’t figure it out. His eyes widened in surprise when he reappeared, not facing the senshi, but a whole gaggle of tentacle limbs, reaching for him and holding him in place as he landed.
He let out a shout of pain as the teeth bit into him, knowing that if he tried to teleport away while the teeth were still digging into his skin, it wouldn’t really work. And he’d already used a lot of his energy getting to where he already was. So he tried swinging his weapon, only for the arms to reach up for his own arms, biting and restraining him, keeping him from being able to get in a proper swing of his weapon.
s**t. s**t s**t s**t. This wasn’t good. He could try to use up the rest of his energy, but he had no idea where he would end up collapsing.
“You better ******** kill me then,” he snarled at the woman as he tried yanking his arms and legs free of the arms that tried to overpower him, her magic definitely not something he would have expected. “You senshi - are all the - same,” Jet spat as he struggled, seriously trying to figure out if he had enough energy to manage one more teleport away, even if it caused him more injury than he would really like, but if he didn’t it seemed as though these things were going to eat him alive. “The world - would be better - off without you.”
