The sun trainee looked at the chore board with distaste. She hated everything listed there. Cooking, cleaning, washing.. "being a slave.." She muttered under her breath, stuffing her hands in her pockets.

Rule number one when being OFFERED a choice of things to do, pick something before someone realizes you are standing there doing nothing. Soon she was being forcibly marched to the kitchen, complaining the whole time. "Oh come on.. look you know I am no good.. really I will... " The one marching her in was listening to none of it, and she was left in the kitchen standing there like a deer in headlights.

"Well.. s**t.. this sucks."

It was only then that she noticed someone else was in the kitchen as well, and they were looking down at some meat with much the same reaction she was having over the whole room. "Got roped in here too huh?" She directed at Joy as she walked over to share her misery. "I'm just letting you know, I am worse than useless.."

Way to make new friends! Whooo! She was on a role.

"Unless you want me to kill the meat again, then I can sure be of help..."

Yeah.. that was going to make things better...

She mumbled something else under her breath then slowly walked over to the meat that they were supposed to... what? Like she had even the foggiest notion what the heck was going on in the room other than, that it looked like someone had done a whole lot of murdering and they were going to have to take care of the evidence.

Wait.. maybe that would be a better way to look at things; at least that seemed a tad more fun.

Gwahh?

The other girl had clapped her on the back as if that was a normal thing, this was not a sun hunter, or at least didn't seem like one. She sighed weakly as her admission of being useless didn't get her sent away. Well, now she had to do work, and it was likely best to get started rather than put it off.

Looking at the distastefully plain smocks that needed to be put on she lifted one between thumb and forefinger. "Ugh, looks like these are more... I don't know.. " She frowned and put it on, before heading over to the table and looking down at the meat.

"So who did they kill to get this much meat?" She lifted up a slab of meat and waggled it a bit. Then she plopped the meat back down on the table and held out the bloody hand. "Kimberly.. Sun apprentice and roped in against my will."

Kim then waggled the meat again, rolling it around on the table and shaping it into a meat person, as well as one can shape a steak or whatever into a shape.

Kimberly sighed again and shifted gears to start work on beating the snot out of the meat with little mallets. She mumbled softly. "I missed what this is all about.. so.. uh why are we here doing this?" She made sure to keep her voice low so that no one else in the room could hear, not sure who was what right now. With Joy having said she was moon, she knew now at least that she was talking to another hunter.

Maybe Kimberly was a bit too aggressive with the meat mallet, since she somehow ended up punching a hole through the first steak she tenderized. One thing to be said, it was indeed tender.

"Uh..." She shook her head a moment. That was not a good thing. She flushed a bit and pushed the meat to the side grabbing a second piece. "Are we supposed to do ALL of this meat? It looks like it was formed to feed an army." She never had kitchen duty before and so didn't realize this just a starting portion. There would be more to come in a later shipment for sure.

To amuse herself a little Kimberly started to tenderize the meat in shapes, like one into the shape of a bird.. another into the shape of a fluffy cloud. Just, shapes in general.

"So.. did you choose to beat, meat or were you roped in too?"

Kimberly smirked a bit when she was told that she had beat the meat enough. Part of her wanted to laugh hysterically. She then kind of snuck a selfie of herself pounding on the meat and titled it Here I am beating meat... so bad..

She grinned and showed it to Joy before arching a brow. "Do you think I should send this to the guy I kind of like?"

She shook her head a bit and then looked at the spices and shrugged patting some of it into the meat. "So.. um I have no idea how to make any of this stuff or why we are doing it. I am too used to cafeteria food I guess." She sighed and finished what she was doing, rubbing her hands on the apron.

"So Joy, I know you are.. er.. from another reaper group than I am, but I haven't seen you around. I am kind of.. anti heading around for some reason. It may have something to do with the fact that I go into insane mood swings."

The rather petite looking girl drop kicked an empty spice container across the room nearly hitting someone on the other side who glared at her. She gracefully stuck out her tongue and flipped him off. "Suck it, don't stand next to the garbage bin if you don't want to get things aimed at you."

The other turned away from her muttering under his breath.

Kim spun back to the counter and then turned to look at Joy, pulling out her phone again. "Ace, he is also.. um from my.. clan?" Ugh trying to use code was annoying. She mumbled a few choice complaints about their leaders before typing out the message.



She sent the photo then went back to work. "Ace is nice, been on a few missions with him. He likely doesn't really think of me as anything more than a friend but.. I like him. He is popular 'specially compared to me."

Her words were kind of sullen for a moment before she tossed her head back and laughed. "Ah well! There is always stuff to do, which is nice, weird things crop up. Being back just means you and I can hang out if.. well if you want to but ... Chinthliss he says I am a spazz and better off alone..."

She was rambling now. Maybe worried.. maybe just not paying attention. She couldn't say.

Kimberly Shut up and work. Seriously you will never finish if you keep babbling. Idiot.. Yeah Chinthliss loved her, such a good whip... >.<

Kim tilted her head a moment thinking about one of those dating schemes and laughed softly. "I'd be down for using that for meeting people. I mean, I still need to know others, how else will I know who I can trust to have my back when I pick a fight with something that can kill me?" Her grin came easier as she tossed some more meat onto a tray.

"Chinthliss.. he .. um was a Manticore." She murmured the 'was' part softly while making a general weapon gesture. "He has an attitude issue which is likely why he chose me.."

Made sense cause only something more annoying than her could deal with her for the length of time they would be together. "Uh, so,.. um I killed all the meat, and poured this powdered crap on it, now what can we do?"

There was a very good chance that someone would end up biting into something way too hot or way too peppered or salty or.. well something. Kimberly wasn't exactly paying attention to proper spice portions.

"Well, that was the easy bit. The worst is yet to come," and with that Joy gestured towards the sink where plates and pots were piled up. "And if we ever end up in a mission together, call me over. My clan's supposed to protect the other clans."

She didn't say anything about her weapon or why Bert chose her. The ginosaji rarely said anything even when she was talking to him directly.
