The local co-op gardens were a place where most people wouldn't expect to find a senshi late at night working. Much less actually gardening. But Alphard, as a civilian, had forgotten that today was his day to weed. So that was how at 10:37 pm a super senshi was on his hands and knees, weeding a community co-op garden and being completely unaware of his surroundings.

It was only when his bucket of weeds was full did he bother looking around, to make sure the no, someone wasn't watching. Even if his spidey magic scout sense told him that someone was.

To her credit, Dia wasn't wrong per say- Alphard's hobbies included sometimes sewing and thinking back to the good old days of floppy disks, public buses, and when to get online you had to endure hellish screeching and pray no one called the landline.
Also cellphones came in suitcases.

Tonight's hot topic and hobby was just gardening as it were.

But when she rounded the corner, like a ferret, Alphard froze up head shooting upright to try and see who was speaking- when they landed on the pink and back senshi he smiled and gave a tiny wave.

"Well naturally they don't. I take it I uh, must have attracted you?" Dirt clung to his hands as he stood, an attempt to brush it off failing for the most part.

"Sorry but, like you said, no starseeds here. Just squash, some peas, I think I also have basil and other herbs set but.. they might not take. You want any?"

He hoped she's take veggies and nothing else.

He frowned, not because it was insulting to him, but in his mind, insulting to the plants. They did their best to grow and provide. They were totally bribe material. Starseeds however-
"Fresh out, mine is kind of needed you know. Somebody has to protect the garden." From slugs at 1 am? Hey, it was as good of an excuse as any. And Alphard had a lot of excuses for things he did.
Stepping back as she stepped forward he was ready to make a run for it. Or he was until-
"STOP!" The shout was pointed and almost sounded panicked.
"You're going to crush Gloria's little sprouts. She's been trying so hard too.." The poor old lady just had a black thumb was all. Tried to hard, killed everything.
"Can we move this somewhere else? I mean, we can fight if you want but there is no need to involve innocent plants in our battle."

Alphard was entirely serious about the sprouts. They were innocent. You just couldn't hurt them for being cute little shoots.

"It's not pathetic," he said, scoffing at the very idea. "SHE worked very hard to get them this far and they've held up so long- they should at least make it a little bit longer."

He didn't even realize she'd tossed the gumdrop at him until it was too late, candy covering him, and a few of the tiny buds.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." He looked at the tiny candy coated buds.

"They didn't deserve this."

Eyes narrowed in barely hidden anger.
"Not out to hurt people my a**. I really ought to stop giving you guys chances." Alphard lifted his hands before he called out his attack, the motion slow as he fought the sticky mass of candy.
"Veil of Dusk."

Alphard looked around him as the candy coating started to abate. There would be no saving the sprouts. The best he could hope for now would be to leave and hope she's not set them on fire. A sad frown, he looked at the orb of darkness and then at the exit.

By the time the magic would vanish he would have as well. There was nothing he could do. Not for the plants, and not against another senshi, corrupt or no.
