History
Welcome to the desert kingdom of Abelid. Here you will find the harshest weathers known to mankind and various earthen creatures. A kingdom plagues by sandstorms, large creatures, and poisonous arachnids, Abelid has slowly decayed over the years. While it was once a proud kingdom ruled by a monarchy, it has since fallen over the last few centuries. While this may be due to various circumstances, the main reason for this is its discovery of the snowy mountains and the kingdom that lies within them. Upon discovering people in lands foreign to them, they slowly started becoming more and more corrupt, wanting the entire world to be under their rule or be obliterated. Truly believing in a monarchy, their ruler slowly began to search through various different lands around them to force them into subjugation. This lead to Abelid expanding into several different territories and gaining "allies" in various different regions. Forced into subjugation, the nations they rule over can only hope for the day that the kingdom of Abelid falls.
In the modern age, Abelid has grown to be a fearsome kingdom known for causing many wars and destroying many kingdoms as its armies pass through. Over ten different kingdoms have fallen to them, and more have been subjugated. Their ruler, once being of strict royal line, is now nothing more than a war mongreling megalomaniac. His kingdom is also in shambles, slowly falling more and more corrupt as cults are becoming a popular subject among his subjects. Maybe people are actually unhappy with the monarchy, wanting to tear it down and form an oligarchy with the nation's strongest Mages at the center of it. Soon, Abelid may fall and rise again as a new type of kingdom, ruled by the fiercest and most merciless rulers of the world.
