"He's not there." Her voice echoed in the lonely darkness between them. When she'd arrived on the opposite end of the manor she had felt the dark aura-- So similar to Sailor Dia's that she would have expected it to be her friend had it not been weaker. Another Corrupted Senshi, that she had to investigate, someone else looking for General Labyrinthite.

She took a slow step closer, clearing her throat before speaking slowly and a bit more clearly. "If you're looking for the master of the house-- He's not here. From my understanding it may... It may be some time before he'll be here again."

"No, I don't." Her voice strained, saddened by the idea. "I know that he's gone and I was told that we were not to follow-- That it was dangerous and there would be consequences." She might have been lied to. He might have told her that to keep her safe. To keep you from looking.

"He went somewhere that we aren't allowed to follow and now we're just waiting... And hurting." She reached out, lightly resting a hand on the other young woman's arm. "I am Captain Tourmaline. He's my general too."

"I don't know." She didn't know because she had been too hot-headed to get any proper information and too stubborn to go back and try to persuade him to talk to her again. It was another classic example of how she had messed up by being too hot-headed. She had to fix it. She...

"It's horrible to feel lonely. It's hard and it hurts."

She had to do something to fix this. She was hurting. Dia was hurting-- And now this senshi? This lovely, beautiful corrupted senshi... Another broken heart, another frayed end trying to connect back to General Labyrinthite.

"Captain Aluminite knew what happened. He knew... And said that we weren't to look into it any further." And she had believed him.

"No," she spat the word out forcefully, just shy of snarling. If she had taken anything from her introduction to the man that the former Aluminite had become it was that she could not trust anyone with information about her personal life while powered up. "Don't say your name while you're like this. Don't ever say your name while you are powered up-- Do you understand me? Even if you trust the person that you're standing there with, they could betray you. Anyone could betray you." He betrayed me.

Her voice softened as she felt a hand on her jacket and she turned slowly to gently take hold of the senshi's wrist, brushing her fingers lightly over it as her eyes met the senshi's. "We can have tea later and talk about who we are inside, but not outside. Never outside... For your safety. Our General would want you to be safe. If you have a room in the house it means he cares for you." She liked to believe that was still true, at least.

"Aluminite lead me to believe that there would be consequences if we followed. I shouldn't have believed him. I--" She was just as guilty as he was, if not more so. She could have been more loyal; could have pressed further. "He betrayed us. If a Squire that I met the other night is to be believed," she believed him, no matter how much she didn't want to-- He knew too many things for her to not, "Captain Aluminite is gone."

"There is something important that you must remember-- Yes, we are our generals wolves, but we also belong to ourselves. If it doesn't feel right to stay here when he isn't then don't. Stay somewhere safe and warm. Care for yourself and come here, as you are now, to check in when you can. We have a duty to the Negaverse as well as to our General and we cannot forget that. He would be just as disappointed to find us all astray as he would be to find out that we had all been disciplined for abandoning our duties while he was gone." The words that she spoke were just as much for the senshi's benefit as they were to remind herself of things that she had been repeating over and over again. The more she said them, the more she heard them out loud, perhaps they would feel more true.

Tourmaline tensed almost instantly the moment she felt the senshi's slender fingers brush so lightly over the top of her head. Her lips pressed together as her fingers curled into fists, keeping her from snatching the corrupt's hand by the wrist and holding her still. She didn't if only because she knew the young woman was trying to comfort her-- She'd had enough fights with those trying to make sure that she was alright lately.

"You will not find Aluminite again. He is the squire... If what he said is true, he remembers things from when he was Aluminite. Aluminite was the one to warn me away from seeking out our General. Brown hair, green eyes-- His face looks like Aluminite's, but it didn't make sense at first. Him, but not him... All of the black turned to cream." Her voice had drifted off into the memory of the moment, taking on a vaguely singsong tone. "Gone, gone..."

"No, that isn't right either," Tourmaline snapped, eyes narrowing as her voice took on an angry, bitter tone. "You aren't the most disposable. None of us are disposable. That's now how this works. That's not how the pack works." If it did then she was certain that, somehow, Aluminite would have been the 'most disposable' due to his wavering loyalty to the Negaverse. She'd thought he had at least been loyal to her and even without that, she wouldn't have considered him disposable either.

"My heart was weak. I couldn't..." But she was getting stronger, bit by bit, pushing closer and closer to where she needed to be before meeting with the Squire that Aluminite had become again. "If he isn't dead by the time our General returns I would hope he would join the hunt as well. I want him back... Labyrinthite. He's been gone for far too long."

"Do whatever you can to learn how to protect yourself, Adamantine... He'll still need us when he comes back and he'll need us to be stronger." The pack was only as strong as its weakest member... It was why they had to stick together, wasn't it?

"Take care of yourself, starlight. Call me if you need me."

With that the Captain clad in pink and charcoal stepped back before teleporting away, hoping that one day it would become easier to just talk to anyone about anything, let alone to the rest of those who had been betrayed about a lost comrade.
