Victoria had came to the park, just not sure what he'd find. He stretched a little as he looked around, he was trying to keep his attention on the back of his mind in case any order showed up.
He was looking for someone to pick off, he didn't really like filling his quota, it was still weird almost creepy he could plunge his hand into someone's chest. He flexed his hand as he looked at it. Why was that even something that worked? He couldn't pin the feeling but he didn't like it.
He sighed and murrmurred, "Surely there's someone out here . . . "Kaefaux Here~ I didn't know if you wanted battle or reg

The icy sensation of a corrupt senshi's aura hit her long, long before the energy tendrils drifted into her vision. It trailed down her spine, driving up shivers and goosebumps across her body, a sickly sensation that settled in the pit of her stomach. There hadn't been many occasions that she had encountered a corrupt senshi, and for it she was grateful. The notion that Chaos could wrap around their starseeds, infecting it like a parasite, ripping them away from their homes, loved ones, memories... it terrified her.
It was a disturbing, alarming concept, and Metis could only wonder how many had been forced into their roles, and how many had gone willingly.
She'd considered not approaching, considered leaving the area. The power level was the same as her, a Super Senshi, though that did not concern her. She'd a number of years beneath her belt that few she met these days seemed to boast, and with it had come countless lessons in combat, learning through trial and error.
In a way, Metis had begun to believe the alternative to the old joking phrase, been there, done that, got the t-shirt, the mug, the hat, and the bobble head toy.
Perhaps that was what drew her in, heading into the park, following the sensation of the aura until the dark grey tendril laced copper energy could direct her further. The silhouette was unfamiliar, and Metis kept her chin up, hands clasped before her against her skirts as she approached. Non-hostile, but firm. "Good evening," she began, her voice neutral. Formal. "This is a peaceful area, a place where people should not have to fear being attacked by the darkness. I hope you can understand why I insist on this remaining."
The accusation was unspoken, but direct. Don't you dare try to hurt anyone here. You want a fight? Fight me.
LP i'm not even sure let's see how this goes

Victoria's brow lofted as he turned to face the voice, squinting at the super senshi who'd just spoke to him. "I appreciate how you assume the only thing I'm here to do is cause trouble." He sighed softly and here he thought he'd have an easy time but this one sounded like she automatically wanted to fight.
There was a moment as he thought about what he was doing before he started walking again this time walking past her, "Hostilities before even talking, your probably the second white moon senshi I've met; but you all are the same." Crimson eyes had narrowed as he paused when he got beside her, before continuing to walk. This park might not be worth the effort.

There was something about his voice that made her pause--not the words. The words were of a young, naive agent who had no true concept, or perhaps no true care, about the amount of life the Negaverse claimed within the city each day. No, she didn't pay attention to the words the voice said. It was the sound of the voice itself.
Something about it was familiar, though she could only assume it was the Russian accent making her think of her missing teammate. The voice bore a deeper accent than she was accustomed to, deeper than his. It wasn't the same voice she had catalogued in her mind.
When the corrupt stopped near her, she had to restrain herself from visibly stiffening, not moving even a hair as he spoke again. "If you wish to shame my unease around one of the Negaverse, agent or senshi, then you must first tell me without a shadow of hesitation or doubt that you do not feel shame each time you, or another of your faction, plunges a hand into someone's chest and rip out their starseed, their soul, nor feel guilt each time any of the Negaverse leave a victim collapsed from being drained of energy."
She did not turn as he continued to walk, only adding, "If you can tell me you feel no guilt for what the Negaverse requires of its ranks, then by those words alone you will validate my immediate expectations of your presence here. However, if you are one of the few that feel guilt for the requirements of the Negaverse..." Metis let out a breath, her voice softening as she finished, "...then you have my truest sympathies and apologies."

He had paused, though he wasn't looking back, just waiting to see if she'd follow or well maybe he had to admit to himself a little that he was curious of her words.
His eyes softly turned towards her direction, off to his right; when she spoke that he had her sympathies and apologies. He sighed softly, running his hand through his hair before shaking his head, "I prefer to find those that are in need, use it as a . . . service. A means to end their suffering and suffrage. If they suffer and it cannot be eased and thusly they are beyond any worldly help. Why should they suffer any longer than they have to, than they already have?"
"What is a life, when you can not live it because the pain and suffering keeps you from any longer enjoying what little you have left. To be clear, I'm not speaking of heart break." He stopped, his Russian accent had softened as he spoke on the topic not much, but enough that she might be able to better recognize the voice through the sheepskin. Others, however on the topic of starseed pulling, would probably think he was weak, or too kind. . . but Victoria was curious, "Do you think that unkind, unwise? Does that make me the villain that you so wish me to be? Letting those live their lives, while helping those at their end."

A service? Metis felt a chill move down her spine, though she forced herself to remain still. The description he gave made her stomach flip, and despite herself her composure fractured, her face twisting in a expression of distaste and sorrow. "You speak of assisted suicide." The words were soft. Not condemning, not accusation, but it was clear she was not... fond of the concept. "I have not had to experience such a decision, and I have been blessed that my family has not been touched by such a horrific condition to consider... a remedy as the sort you are referring to."
She turned a little, head tipped in his direction. "Is it... do you only seek out those whom are in medical facilities? You don't offer this to those gripped by mental illness, do you?" How many lives were cut short by self-inflicted injuries? How many were in the grips of a mental illness that could have been treated, if given the proper resources and aid? How many were in situations that could have been worked out, if given more time?
He said he did not assist those suffering through the pain of heartbreak, and while that was... commendable, all things considered in the situation, there were countless other conditions and situations where someone would seek such a permanent solution.
As he spoke though, the more she heard his words, the more something dug at her. The more she frowned, brow furrowing as she focused... less on his words, but how he said them. The voice behind the words. His silhouette did not match the figure that began to rise in her mind. Nothing about him matched her teammate.
Yet an icy tendril of dread was beginning to lace itself through her heart, caging it.
It took her a few moments to realize he'd asked her a question, and Metis had to fight to recall what he'd asked. "I cannot condone taking a life, regardless of the situation, and giving their energy or souls to the Negaverse. I cannot say you are unkind for wanting to help those that need it, and would like to believe you have aided many who were grateful for peace. But how much peace can they be in, with their souls trapped in a place like that? I've heard some agents eat starseeds--that thought alone terrifies me for the poor souls lost to this horror."
It was easier to talk about the horrors of the Negaverse, than to think about the voice she was hearing. She wanted to ask. She wanted to know but...
For the first time in her life, Metis' curiosity was silenced. Held back by fear.

Victoria was still standing with his back to her, but when she said assisted suicide he nodded softly, finally turning around. "Any services offered to those gripped by a mental illness that obviously needs help, is obviously a way to get them somewhere they can get help."
He stretched softly, watching her. As he did, something caught his own curiosity, something he'd noticed when they were facing each other. "Obviously we don't just take souls, there's easier ways to get people help, if we don't; then they deserve help elsewhere."
He'd come back to Metis looking her in the eyes. Like he seen something suspicious, "Not to be rude, but . . . . can you see me?" While she seemed intent on the whole 'I hate the negaverse because. . . '; he was slightly more worried about something else if it was any indication by the question he asked.

At least she could agree with that sentiment. Metis let out a small breath, though her panic was still growing as the conversation went on. If it was? If it really, truly was? He didn't recognize her. Forgotten. It'd been a bit over a year since their talk on the rooftop. Help the other remember.
How could she? Where was Iris? *********? They knew how to handle corruptions and purifications. She never...
She would have argued the point of not just taking souls, and would have questioned the notion of other ways to get people help, and was dimly aware of him moving back in front of her. Metis could feel the sting in her eyes from the tears that threatened as her pulse raced. If she was right... god help her.
Her smile was hesitant, her hands clenched before her as she tried to keep herself from shaking or from reaching out to him. "You used to know the answer to that, Victoria." She hoped he asked her who that was. She hoped he told her she had the wrong person.

Victoria stopped when she called his name. His eyes narrowed and he looked confused. "H-how do you know my name?"
He was staring at her, he hadn't met anyone like her that he knew of. In fact he hadn't met many senshi from the other side. Most of who he knew, admittly had to be on the other his side.
"Who are you?" He asked looking at her like he wasn't sure what was going on.

The confirmation burned through her and Metis had to shut her eyes. She could feel her face crumpling under the weight of the reality of it all, one hand crossing over her middle, the other pressing to her mouth to smother the sound of her shaky breaths. She should have been there. She should have been around more, more focused on Vic and his sisters, not... not her school, not her work.
There were other things far, far more important.
She wasn't crying, not yet, but she could feel the burning at her eyes, feel the pressure building in her chest. Depending on the light, he would likely see her eyes beginning to turn red at the rims, the tears gathering and glistening in her empty eyes as she pulled down her hand to speak.
"I'm Metis, Vic. We're... we're teammates. We're part of the group called the Asteroids. Iris is our Captain, ********* is the guardian cat that woke and helped us..." Well. She'd been awakened by Astraea--or was it Luna?--but that was besides the point. "Oh Vic... Vic I'm so sorry. I didn't... if I'd known... your sisters have been looking for you, I'd hoped... If I'd known it'd gotten to this point I-I would have..." Her voice broke, and Metis clamped her hand back over her mouth to soften the small sound that escaped from her, closing her eyes again. Not that it blocked the sight of him, in her third eye. The dark gray tendrils that should have been silver.

Victoria looked at her, there was concern on his face. Even if she couldn't see it. She suddenly looked as if she'd been punched or something.
When she started talking again, she said she was Metis. That they were part of a team, and there was a familiar name Iris. He'd been warned about the woman, "Iris?" He said softly, looking down a little as Metis continued to talk and frowned.
This woman was so broken up over him being here, he couldn't remember any of them. ". . . I was warned about her, and the team that didn't seem to care for me. . . ."
He paused, she must not have been one of the ones that didn't care; not one of the ones Asha told him about while braiding his hair and explained what he was saved from. He felt slightly awkward but he moved to give the woman a hug trying to be comforting despite the clear distaste for him since he was Chaos, "I'm sorry, I don't remember . . . anything of that life. You clearly did care - if you're this upset, you must not have been one of the ones that Ashanite told me about. I - I don't know if there's a way to remember that."
He frowned, he wasn't even sure if he wanted to go back to them. The negaverse had a place for him. He was happy, had a job, friends. "Can you do me a favor?" He asked softly looking at her hoping she'd forgive him.

"Didn't care?" Her voice snapped out, fury blazing across her face even as some of the tears began to creep over the rim of her eyes. "Iris was crass and blunt, but she was still our friend. She... she's just... away." Metis sniffed, rubbing at her eyes, trying to compose herself. Failing, miserably, but trying. "Iris, *********, Parthenope, Irene, Eunomia, Egeria, Hygeia, Psyche, Thetis... Vic, we were all a team, and we were friends, and we most certainly cared about you. The others are just... I don't even know where they are. I haven't heard from any of them in so long, but they haven't stopped caring."
Or so she hoped. She hoped they were all alright, that everything was ok. But she hadn't heard from any of them in so long. Were they like Victoria? She waited, almost holding her breath, to see if he had any recognition of any of their names--fearing that he might, if they were corrupts as well.
When Victoria moved over to hug her, Metis didn't fight the contact. It felt too familiar, even with the sickly sensation of a corrupt's energy so close to her, even seeing the horrific dark gray energy tendrils through his copper aura and figure. Metis' hands gripped his shirt, holding tight to him as she pressed her forehead to his shoulder, not feeling remotely apologetic as the fabric dabbed up some of the moisture at her eyes. His words felt like bullets, and she clung tighter. Ashanite. She'd not heard that name before.
"W-we'd promised. We'd promised to help the other remember, if either one of us were ever corrupted." She felt so cold, thinking back to that conversation. She'd been uneasy about Vic being close to a Negaverse agent. Had their connection lead to this..? "I do not make it a habit to go back on my word."
She pulled back a little to tilt her head a bit towards him, waiting expectantly for whatever would come next. "Of course, Vic. I... I know this won't mean much to you, and it breaks my heart to say that, but... but things haven't changed, to me."
Oh how she would have never believed she could say such a thing to a corrupted senshi, to an agent of Chaos, of the Negaverse.

Even though Metis rattled off names, he frowned heavily. "I only recognize Iris, she must've been one of the only names that I'd mentioned. Or that was important, I don't know." She said she hadn't heard from any of them, "So you still haven't heard anything since I . . . guess I disappeared?" He was trying to piece things together.
That was too long, even if they hadn't stopped caring; the lack of contact was concerning. He sort of wished he could get Metis to join him, so they wouldn't be alone, but he knew better than to ask. He didn't want her to lose her memories either. "I don't want you to go back on your word. But I need you to keep my family - even if I can't remember them - safe, they can't know. It'd be dangerous, if they knew."
He said as he hugged her, "I don't mind being helped to remember things, but we need to keep it to safe limits." With this he was serious. He knew how the negaverse would handle damaged goods. He didn't need anything he didn't want them knowing to be found out.

Metis had to keep herself from flinching at the notion that only Iris had been important, if hers was the only name that Vic recognized. She told herself that wasn't how he meant it, and if the Negaverse agents hadn't told them any other names, it should be a good sign. She did let out a small breath at the notion that it meant none of them were corrupted, at least so far as he was aware. That was a good sign.
A silver lining, at best, but she'd take it.
"No... I haven't heard anything from them either... I'm trying not to worry, there's lots of reasons they could be busy." But it still didn't divert the sting of no information either way.
That he would ask her to keep his family safe had her fighting to not break into sobs right then and there. It was because she'd mentioned the girls but... he was still Vic. Even without his memories, he was still the same person. "I give you my word I will keep them safe, however I have to go about achieving that." She couldn't keep this from them. They had to know what happened to their brother--but she didn't need to tell him that. Not right now.
Metis leaned her forehead against his shoulder again, holding him tight. "I understand. I just... you shouldn't have forgotten. They took part of you away, and I can't forgive them for that, Vic." And then were filling his head with lies, the bastards. There had to be a way to fix things. She would have to scout around, search for others who'd experienced the tampering of memories that came with corruption or purification, see if anyone had any concept of how it worked.

He sighed softly, "I hope so, I hate to think you're doing this alone."
He really wished this had a different out come as it were he couldn't help her if they were two different sides of the same coin. Victoria needed to talk to Ashanite about what to do, surely the General would have an idea.
He smiled softly at her, "I'm sure they'll answer soon if they're just busy. We can meet here occasionally, I don't want them looking for both of us though, no telling what would happen."
Nodding when she said she'd keep his family safe he gave a soft sigh, "Thank you, Metis."
Granted that had him thinking, "I . . .we'll figure out what happened to make me forget. I don't know how, maybe you'll find someone who knows more, I don't want to question too much." He gave a small smile, "Speaking of though, I should go - I have rounds to make. Despite how you feel about it, I still have things I have to do; to keep from getting on the radar." He might not agree with everything, but for now he still believed this was the right choice for him.
There was a moment before he gave her a light kiss on the forehead, "Thank you again, Metis." He'd give her a few moments before he'd teleport away from the park. How a meeting could go from cold and stiff to, this; was almost baffling.
