 She had looked everywhere.
No matter where she'd gone, what nooks and crannies she had looked in to, Destati was nowhere to be seen. It had proven to be a source of great frustration to her, and as her search continued, she became even more irritated by the fact that it seemed in the months since her encounter with his son... He had also started to seek out these phantoms. While she wasn't aware of the circumstances surrounding Tethys's pursuit of the entities, she had begun to suspect that he had been recruited by his father. After all, how else would he have known about them and the need to dispose of them?
It was for this reason that she had decided to seek him out - she would confront him herself. If he was seeking these creatures out then he knew where his father was, given he knew where Destati was, she would make him tell her.
No ifs, not buts... she would get the information.
Or at least that was her belief as she stormed towards his warband's outpost. They had settled themselves comfortably for their expedition and she had recently caught sight of the one she wanted returning. It was without acknowledging the Vikings that she strode passed them and stood directly before the Captain.
With a raised brow and haughty expression, she painted quite the picture.
"You've been lying to me. You know where the Justicar is and you are going to tell me his location." She instructed. Words: 251

Tethys was in no mood to deal with prima donnas. Given what he had been through in the last week he had a very little patience left, and as the voice interrupted his attempts to relax, he did nothing more than gaze hollowly at the individual. She hadn't even given his healers a chance to look him over, even as Onesimos had been on the approach she had cut off his path and forced him to walk round her.
Suffice it to say that he didn't recognise her at first.
However as he settled his gaze on her properly he took in the speckles and the familiar markings, to conclude that she had been the lioness he had met a rather long time ago. Oa, was it? No matter, her demands had already rubbed him the wrong way and the accusation that he had lied only served to irritate him further. The disrespect she was currently displaying was truly impressive, and had he less self control he might have given her a rather harsh slap to the face. Had she no manners, or had they temporarily been forgotten when she decided today was a good day to make demands.
"Excuse me?" he replied quietly, though behind the veiled and well mannered words lay an underlying threat. "I haven't seen my father in weeks," he continued coolly. Destati had arrived briefly to return Zili and observe the duels, only to leave almost immediately after, even Tethys hadn't had enough time to pick his brain...
Then again, Tethys hadn't realised that he might want to pick his father's brain until further down the line anyway.

"But you have seen him," she snapped, her eyes flashing in frustration as the lion revealed he had at least encountered the Justicar. Had he not promised he would tell Destati he was being sought? She was fairly certain she had stressed the importance of discovering where he was...and yet that message didn't appear to have been conveyed.
She conveniently chose to ignore the injuries on the Captain's body, and once again cut off the approaching healer, although one might have assumed this was simply accidental. She had deliberately closed the gap between them, and had now placed her nose against his. She knew how to bare down on others, she knew how to be imposing, and she had made males bow before... this one would be no exception.
This was what she had been raised for after all... This was why she was here.
"You will tell me where he went," she repeated coolly. "If you saw him, then you also saw the direction he went in, I can pick his trail up from there." She pointed out.

Onesimos pulled a face in disapproval as he was once again interrupted, Tethys's expression became worse still. His ever darkening expression was becoming thunderous as the lioness attempted to order him around like he was no more than a troop. He didn't know what her life may have been like at home, but if she assumed he was going to fall in to line because he was related to a lion from that region then she had another thing coming.
When she placed her nose to him, it was the final straw.
He had always prided himself on being a gentleman, but on occasions some individuals needed to be reminded of their place. Without warning his paw lashed out and slapped the lioness squarely to the jaw, it contained enough force to throw her to the side and while Onesimos might have been able to step over her, he had already elected to walk round her to attend to Tethys's injuries.
"No, I won't," Tethys stated coldly. "I already informed my father once that you were looking for him, if he hasn't sought you out then it is for good reason," he continued. Rising to his paws he strode towards the lioness and wrinkled his nose in distaste. "Perhaps there is a reason you can't find him, do you talk to everyone like that when you don't get your way?"Words: 230 Total Words (Tethys): 503

The swipe came as a swap and with such ferocity that she was thrown to the side. She have been the plucky sort but even she was aghast at the strength of the blow, truth be told no one in her society had ever attempted to strike out at her in such a way. Her eyes narrowed, she had always assumed the Justicar's offspring would be raised properly and yet he was exhibiting the traits of an ill bred, a lesser...
"I'm beginning to think he's elected to desert his post," she stated coolly, perhaps an attempt at emotional blackmail towards the lion. If he wouldn't comply when directed, perhaps threatening his father's honour might get him to re-evaluate his decision.
Unfortunately this proved to be a miscalculation on the part of the lioness.
She was met with a snarl and another very brutal swipe to the head. It was enough to wind her, no it was worse, her vision had already begun to blur and if she had hoped to recover she wasn't given the choice. A second blow followed under her chin and the world slid in to darkness with only the Captain's parting words ringing in her ears.
"Get rid of her. I don't care where you dump her, but I don't want to see her again."
She heard some murmuring in response, but whatever was said after this remained a mystery...Words: 235 Total Words (Oa): 666
