They pretty much had to force themselves to accept that they were going to go through the rest of their school life (possibly even the rest of their life) all alone.

As a result, they spent most of their time in their room reading or drawing or looking things up on the web. It was there that they discovered nail art and Trudy was immediately taken by the lovely designs. The idea of literally putting the fate of your hands into someone else's spoke of an intimacy they only dreamed of ever achieving.

And it looked as if they wouldn't even need to talk or make the first move! Clients would come to them! Maybe, just maybe this would be their ticket to having some form of social interaction. They were going to have to start learning how to be a nail technician as soon as possible. Their browsing on the internet now had a purpose and this structure, while still open enough to give their creativity an exercise, helped them know what to do next.

While Trudy was still unlikely to manage to talk to anyone or approach them while outside, this was still a viable route for them to take. And hopefully with the Nine's blessing, they would find some shop that would be willing to hire them. This meant they were going to have to start building a portfolio.

With a smile, the hybrid felt happier than they've felt in months at this decision.
