Throwing the bag out the window, she followed after, wincing as she hit the ground. Things may have been ‘healed’ but her body was clearly not 100%. Didn’t matter though. She was well enough to get on her way. Scooping up her bag, she turned, gazed at the other window and blew a kiss to the male she knew was in there. “Good luck Soldier Boy.”
And with that the young female disappeared into the night.
Several hours had gone by before she threw her bag down on a park bench and sat beside it. It was still a few more hours until her bus out of town was scheduled to leave so she had to kill time. In doing so, Jay had an idea what she wanted to try.
“So...what did Conor say? Just want it and…” Jay’s eyes closed and willed as much as she could. Nothing felt odd but when she opened her eyes and looked down. “What the hell?” Jumping up from her seat Piypite gazed down at her attire trying to take it in from all angles. “Are you shitting me?” Her hands ran down her form. It was real.
“s**t...what the hell..?”
---
“Are you sure this is the right way to go, Benedict? We’ve passed this same tree like, three times!” Sharatan said with an annoyed huff as she walked with the guardian cat she had adopted into her house. “I’m not sensing… Wait! There… I felt something!” She said, clapping her hands together. “Yeah, you’re right, it feels… dark and cloudy… I don’t like it.”
The Siberian flicked its tail and licked its paw, before pawing some stray fur back into place. “Yes, that’s the enemy! It’s your job as a senshi to put a stop to them!”
“Alright! Well, wish me luck Benedict!” Sharatan, said, dusting off her fuku before charging out of the bushes toward the Negaverse Lieutenant feeling up her uniform.
“Go get them, Tovarisch!” Benedict called after her before darting into a nearby bush to hide.
“HALT VILLAIN! I Sailor Sharatan, Senshi of Runes, shall protect this city from your vile ways! I will be your doom!” Sharatan shouted as she jumped out of the bushes, standing in an action pose, her right hand pointing at Piypite.
---
Nearly jumping out of her skin, Piypite spun in place to come face to face with a girl not much older than her wearing...well…”What the hell are you supposed to be?” Piypite spoke with a c**k to her head and a look as if she was glancing at a freak show.
“Protect the city? Yea that’s rich. Protect it from what? Cold feet?” Piypite crossed her arms under her chest and looked the woman up and down. “Or maybe needing tissues. That is alot of fabric you have going on there.”
“Anyway, I’m out of here.” Piypite shrugged, turning to ignore the woman.
---
She did not just… Sharatan’s eyes narrowed, and as other girl turned, she closed the distance with angry stomps, and opened with a heavy, open handed slap to the side of the other woman’s head.
“I’m here to protect the city from YOU!” She hissed, rolling back onto her heels and then forward again, arms up and ready to fight. “And I will not have you mock me openly just because you’re some smug little brat!”
Sharatan’s hackles were up. She was going to teach this Negaverse punk the true meaning of respect. With her fists.
---
The smack to the side of the head made Piypite stumble forward as a hand came up to the spot. She turned around going “OW...b***h.” Her eyes watered slightly from the hit but she didn’t lash out as she rubbed the spot. “What the hell did I do to you huh?”
Now she turned back around, clearly seeing the woman’s guard was up. Well...maybe pride more than guard. “And who the ******** are you anyway? I know you said some stupid name but I think you just hit it out of my head. Not smart c**t.”
“And I can’t mock something that doesn’t have anything to mock.”
---
The next strike came as a sharp jab at Piypite’s face again, followed by another in quick succession. “You are an agent of the Negaverse! You are Chaos and you seek to do the city harm. I will not have you sully my home with your filth!”
At her statement over her stupid name, Sharatan growled. “I am Sailor Sharatan, and you will learn respect!” She growled, throwing more punches at the other girl, in anger.
She was going to smear her into the pavement so help her…
---
The first two punches hit and Piypite backed away, rubbing her jaw. “Why you son of a…” She started to say but was quickly stopped by another fist finding her side. It had missed her wound but the pain was still sharp.
“Damnit…” She said trying to grab at one of the woman's arms. “What the hell are you?” she hissed, now jumping back and finding she could indeed move faster...farther than she used to. Only problem was the landing…
“Chaos? What is this bullshit...and you don't look like a sailor...what boat?”
---
Sharatan hissed as the agent tried to grab her arm, janking it back with more force than she intended and causing her to stake a few extra steps back. “I don’t have to answer your questions!” She growled in reply, only to come charging right back in.
Only now instead of punches she was clawing at Piypite’s face with her nails, reaching for hair, and eyes, as she snapped a kick up toward her enemy’s midsection. If she had to she’d resort to knees and elbows, but for now she was fine just messing her up right good.
Damn Negaverse trying to corrupt the city. She wouldn’t allow it!
---
The new speed was one hell of a perk. Maybe this would make spiriting from idiots even easier. She was going to enjoy…
The kick came hard and fast. She also had the speed to match. So whatever she was made her equal to this…
The thought died quickly as the pain grew through her body. She dropped to her knees, shaking hard as her hands went to her midsection. “******** cursed as she felt tears in her eyes. “What the hell…”
---
When her enemy dropped to her knees Sharatan did not relent, bringing her knee up to meet the girl’s head as she drove down with her fist. “I’ll kill you!” She growled, hissing angrily as her eyes practically glowed with anger. “I’m going to kill you and save this world from your evil!”
Though, on the edge of Sharatan’s mind, she could feel another signature approaching quickly, it was practically identical to the agent she was fighting and that made her worry a bit. She needed to finish this quickly, she didn’t dare waste time and worry that she might get flanked.
“Reinforcements aren’t going to save you, you wretch!” Sharatan howled, kicking once more at Piypite as she gave into her full temper. “Nothing is!”
**
Wardite could feel the two energy signatures, one bright one, and another that was shadowy and chaotic. He really hoped it wasn’t Jane, but he wouldn’t know until he looked. He’d followed what he’d thought to be the easiest route to get to the city from where Mathias’ house was, and so far hadn’t felt anything until he’d reached the park. But he was getting closer now, and he was hoping, maybe, just maybe… Jane had talked her way out of this.
---
The hit to her head dropped Piypite the rest of the way to the ground. She could feel the cold concrete hit her face on the opposite side, doubling the ringing in her ears. Barely, just about the sound, she could make out what the woman was saying. Kill her? Why? She had done nothing to them! She had never even met this woman. The last person who tried to kill her…
One hand came up and she finally wrapped it around her head and curled into a ball. She had to protect as much as possible. Even as another kick from the back wound, Piypite could only wince. Her gift was her speech. With woman...what the hell was her problem!
Opening just a small amount, Piypite screamed “WOULD YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN!”
---
Sharatan hissed and kept kicking, raining blowed down on the curled up body in front of her. “NEVER!” She hissed, keeping up her attack in the hope of taking out an agent of chaos. Not only that, someone who had openly mocked her. Her temper was in full boil. Which was why she was shocked when she was suddenly blindsided by another body, larger - and male.
“LEAVE HER ALONE!” Wardite shouted loudly, growling as he scrambled back to his feet,, moving to put himself between Piypite and Sharatan. “You want a fight? You can fight me!” He was panting from the sprint, but his green eyes narrowed. “And if you think I’m gonna let you off easy for hurting my friend, you have another ******** thing coming!”
Sharatan growled, and danced back away from the male, her hands up she cast a glance at Piypite. “We’ll finish our business another night!” She growled, and then turned, running away from the two.
Wardite cursed as soon as she left, quickly moving to kneel next to Piypite with a low hiss. “s**t, she got you good… Hang in there Jay-bird..” He muttered darkly. “Stay with me now, ain’t in the business of seeing you drop twice.”
He started to check her for obvious injuries including her stomach. “Thank god for that last shout or I’d of had a hell of a time finding you…This park is dark as pitch!”
---
The shoot sounded so familiar but her ears were ringing so badly that she couldn’t be sure. That was until she felt the touch of someone on her body. That touch was soft, larger than the one that was trying to rip her to shreds for the sake of...of just being alive!
One eye opened and what she saw above her. What she heard. Only one person had ever called her that. “Con?” She asked with a meek question. She didn’t wait for a response as she uncurled herself and threw her arms around his neck. “Con…” She was shaking. From the bruises, the soreness or just overall the fact she believed this woman was indeed going to kill her. “I...I’m so glad to see you…” She shivered into his shoulder, refusing to let go.
“She was going to kill me. For no reason more than just being alive…”
---
“Yeah, I saw that, Jay-bird,” Wardite said as he did his best to lift her into his arms and carry her as she clung to neck and had her head buried in his shoulder. Oh, he could get used to this sure, but not if it meant that Jay was going to end up roughed up every time. “She’s mental though if she thinks I was gonna stand by and let that happen.”
Slowly rising to his feet to try and not jostle her too much, he began to walk back the way he’d come. Unsure if he should power down and have her do so as well, or if he should just worry about it later once they got near the house.
“Told you I’d have your back,” He added with a slight chuckle. “Bit disappointed you didn’t take your candy though, that was for your send-off.” He added with a ******** c**t…” Piypite hissed, the movement causing her skin to pull on what was clearly going to be a purple mark. But she didn’t fight his hold. In fact, she curled into it savoring the moment of what this mistake gave her. Piypite didn’t have to ask. She knew where he was taking her back to. She had now realized that they weren’t as insane as she had wanted to believe.
“Con…” She finally mumbled, pulling herself up to look back over his shoulder. “My bag?” It was less really a question and more a suggestion to get his a** back around to get that. She wasn’t losing her things. Especially now that she had to wonder just who she was. Surely she was no longer Jane Mason. Jane Mason couldn’t move like she just did. And Jane Mason didn’t get her a** handed to her but some little s**t.
“How mad are they?”
---
Wardite hissed a bit, and he stopped, turning around to walk them back to the bench to grab the bag off the bench and try to toss it over his shoulders without also dropping her on her face. He compromised by putting her down gently on the bench before he shouldered her bag and then picked her back up to turn and head back toward the house.
“Well, they threatened to kill me, make it look like an accident, and kill my family in Ireland since I didn’t tell them you were going to fly the coup, and then ordered me to come find you, or so help them they’d do it even worse.” Wardite said with a weak chuckle.
“Imara was ready to skin me… Mathias… well… let’s just say I was not fond of his wake up call…” Wardite winced, remembering the hair pulling and dragging out into the hall.
---
His words made her wince even more. “Well, bright side to this…” Piypite sighed as she closed her eyes. Her clothes shifted and Jay remained in his arms. She hurt. She seemed smaller than she ever had and truly, she didn’t care.
“When we get back, their anger will be directed at me and not you.” She tried to chuckle. She tried to laugh but it all hurt. So all she could do was push the ideas of what was to come out of her mind and inhaled his scent.
Jay didn’t want to admit to it but in a way, she could get used to this. “So, got my back hm? I guess I can keep you around.”
---
Wardite laughed and shook his head. “Pissed at both of us. Imara is probably just going to be happy that you were safe. Er… Safeish.” Wardite said with a sigh. “Good, I was hoping you’d say that.” He said with nod.
“What surprised me, is even after they found your candy they didn’t throw it out. Though maybe Imara’s already raided my room to clean it out, I threw it on my bed before I left, if there’s any left I’ll make sure to try and save some.
Then suddenly, Wardite was blinking, as the world suddenly shifted and he was standing in an office, Jane in his arms, looking at a very grumpy looking Leucite looking at the two of them.
“Good god! Is she alright?” Mathias hissed, looking her over. “Come on, we need to get home, come here…” He placed a hand on Jane’s shoulder and Wardite’s and then with another shift, the three found themselves back in the living room back at Mathias’ house.
