As a young child K’elm often found himself out shined by the brighter glows of those around him. He is a quiet and independent young child that has grown into a quiet and independent young man. Others don’t mean much to him. The exceptions are M’che and Tonete. The trio are fast friends.
He likes to keep things exciting and interesting. Baffling others, K’elm is somewhat heavy in weight but still manages to pull off surprising escapes. Wowing others helps him to forget his reality. If physical force becomes required he is the go to man. K’elm doesn’t mind breaking a few arms to get the message across. He is very transparent about his intents, so when he says something others know he means it.
When it comes to his dragon or his friends, M’che or Tonete, he is a soft guy. He’ll go along with whatever they decide most of the time. K’elm is also in charge of the group’s marks. He is known for being extremely frugal with every eighth.
History:
K’elm was born in Nabol Hold or somewhere nearby. He was never quite sure on that. His parents were gamblers and ran a table for a crooked lord after he cheated them of their money. Like many children in Nabol, he ran wild in his early childhood. It wasn’t until he was old enough to become useful that he was put to work, well under the usual age of apprenticeship.
He ran errands and passed messages at first. As he got older, he learned to steal; to help pay back what his parents owed the lord, he was told. K’elm was careful never to take too much, mostly stealing small marks unless the mark happened to have a lot of large ones on hand so that he or should would never miss one or two. He developed his own code of honor, and had a small gang of other children and teens that worked with him.
One day in his 17th Turn, he picked a rich target calmly and casually walking down the street. The teen hadn’t noticed the arrival of the blue dragon and hadn’t seen it perched on the firehights. As un-luck would have it, it was his luck that he picked to target the dragonrider. A strong hand gripped his wrist. Much stronger than he was use to and found he couldn’t break free.
He looked up into the eyes of the dragonrider. A rider who smirked. “It seems I have finally caught you!” The dragon had sensed his presence and suitability to be a rider, and together the pair had laid a trap. It wasn’t long before he was whisked away to High Reaches Weyr. There he met two other new candidates. M’che, K’elm, and Tonete were searched for High Reaches Weyr within four sevendays of each other. The three quickly fell in with each other as candidates and formed their own tiny close-knit group.
Much of their free time was spent together, and as many lessons and chores were spent together as possible. Tonete was believed to have the potential to impress a gold and was groomed for when that fateful date occurred. She hated the lessons, as she had to spend time away from her group, but put up with it as a means to make all their lives better when it finally did happen.
Clutches were laid and dragons hatched, but none of the trio found their dragons. If there was one comfort it was that they were together. Two Turns after their candidacy began, three very important dragons burst shell. The dragonets had been spaced out among the eggs. They came together and headed directly for their chosen trio.
The new riders wouldn’t have changed their dragons for anything, but life soon went downhill for them. Particularly Tonete was hard hit; once a favored student, now a scorned non-entity green rider. Each one found reasons to be dissatisfied with their present situation. Their bond among them never wavered though.
Hatchlings became weyrlings, and over time weyrlings became adults. During their training, the trio hatched a daring plan. Once their dragons could fly and they learned how to go between they were leaving. A turn passed slowly. They learned, gathered supplies, and information. Then it was time. They said they were going to hunt their beasts for sport and never returned.
Going from M’che’s knowledge they traveled down the coast then island hopped until they found one that suited their needs and hid them well. As their supplies ran low they commandeered what they wanted. Sometimes it was from ships, other times from landbound places. Over the past several Turns, they have begun collecting other unsatisfied or rogue riders.
When thread began falling again, it was without warning. K’elm and Lurketh found the whole ordeal exciting as nothing had ever reached before. He is eager for more fights. Unfortunately they didn’t have enough firestone to make the blue happy. It was a combined effort that allowed the three of them to get away. Their ranks and supplies were decimated. As they didn’t have enough firestone to properly fight thread, it was a battle to pull their dragons away. Some were lost, and others fled back to the safety of the Weyrs.

DRAGON
Name: Lurketh
Age: 4 Turns
Color: Blue
Size: 30’
Physical Description:

Personality:
Be the shadow. He is the Shadow. NO you see nothing!*insert jedi mind trick here*
Lurketh simply fades into the shadows when others are around. He watches and listens, often reporting to Dyneith what he hears. Like his rider, he prefers to be independent. His favorite missions are night ones where he can fly mostly undetected. Lurketh also excels at being an escape artist in spite of his size. He is quick and agile on wing. Of the three, the blue is most prone to physical violence. Whether just because he got annoyed or at the behest of his rider.
(I know he has no jedi mind powers, it's just how I see him acting. XD)
