INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASS:

NAME OF CLASS: Intermediate First Aid (must have passed beginner)
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

Prerequisites:
- Must complete beginner first aid successfully
- Must be Y2 or higher!

General information: This goes into using another individuals FEAR to heal them – thus promoting their own system to fix it.

The healing dummies have returned! However, this time it seems like Nurse Cricket has done a little bit worse to them than she did before, some of them being cut into rather deeply, and others bearing strange discolorations. The only explanation she really gives is that she put her ‘touch’ on them.

Which you really don’t want to know much more about.

“There is FEAR in those dummies. What I’d like you to do with them is draw their FEAR to the surface to pull away the injury that has been given them. This is an effective way to heal without tiring yourself out.” From the way Cricket explained it, it sounded like this was what a lot of her job consisted of.

“What you need to do,” she begins to go into more detail on what she expects, “is clean the area of contact. Once you’ve done that, use your FEAR to pull at the FEAR of the dummy. If you’ve ever been healed by me, hold onto that feeling from when I make contact. They feel quite similar and you’ll find your balance from that.”

For those who hadn’t been healed by Cricket before…? WHELP. She wasn’t about to demo any further than that.

Mechanics:

Roll 1d4
This is your accuracy.

Now Roll 1d10 and match your result below - subtract your accuracy roll from your result. If your roll will take you underneath ‘1’, go to 10 and continue down from there.

Match your rolls

1. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!
2. Uh oh! You’ve gone a little bit too far and your ‘patient’ gets really ill!
3. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
4. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
5. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
6. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
7. You do OK. It takes a little while longer to fix, but your work is passable.
8. Your work is poor. Cricket won’t pass it.
9. Uh oh! You’ve gone a little bit too far and your ‘patient’ gets really ill!
10. Perfect! You’ve forced the condition to remove itself!

TO PASS: You must either get a ‘Perfect’ or an ‘OK’.

Bonus Mechanics:
None!

Being such a 'accident' prone individual, and by accident prone she was more then likely to get hurt, Pokerus felt it was time to further increase her abilities in Healing. She could still recall the horrid sensation of the dagger from the war horsemen being embedded deep within her gut, and the helplessness she felt of being unable to do anything about it. At the time she had been able to stem the pain a little , but nothing beyond this, much less heal such a horrendous wound.

Plus, there may be a time when she would have to help someone who was injured, and beyond the simple techniques she learned in the first class she would not be able to assist further then getting rid of simple scratches. No, she needed to get stronger, and that didn't just mean brute strength and FEAR levels

As someone had told her once, she should train in defense as well as offense, and wasn't a healing a form of defense?

The healing classes were held quite frequently, which allowed the dragon ghoul to pick a day she wanted to attend, turning up to the class room and finding the dummies she had used before were back, except now they looked...a little worse for wear. Some bearing deep claw marks that left nasty looking gashes, while others bore strange discolorations.

Well, this was gonna be fun to 'fix up'.

Listening to Crickets explanation upon what she was supposed to do left the dragon quite confused, and when she elaborated all the teacher would see was a dumb look from Pokerus. Cleaning the area was simple enough, but drawing the FEAR to the surface to help it heal? How the heck was she supposed to do that? It sounded like a reaper using some sort of magic spell.

She was a monster. Monsters weren't exactly the kind of creatures whom could use magic. Some monsters could, and of course a few very talented dragons could be counted among those, but it depended on the individual in question and what they essentially wanted to do, plus weather the species had a affinity towards it. Pokerus was not one of these creatures. She could focus her FEAR outward in a attack or a small barrier, but this was a lot more complicated.

However, there were times in the past she had been healed by cricket. She had been to the nurse's office once or twice with various injuries that needed tending to (like the huge wound in her abdomen, that was something that had to be fixed). There had been the numerous time from dissipation, too, but she didn't feel those count as you were considered pretty healthy after dissipating.

But non the less, she had been tended to by the professor and had her wounds mended. The sensation had been strange, as if her FEAR was being pulled towards a certain point.

Holding onto this feeling she went and grabbed one of the dummies that looked particularly mangled, sitting down at a desk and staring at the thing as if it would magically fix itself on it's own. Sadly it did not, so she would have to assist in the actual healing process.

Her first lesson in healing had been about 'straightening the knots of FEAR' or some fancy stuff like that. Now she had to pull the FEAR toward her and...it would do something. Pull the injury away.

Pokerus huffed, folding her arms and grumbling about how it made no sense. How was this supposed to help?

Oh well, she'd have to figure it out.

The dragon held her hands out towards the dummy, almost touching it when she remembered she wasn't supposed to touch it and let her hands hover just over it. Closing her eyes, she focused just on the sensation of her own FEAR, coursing through her entire being. Now she had to reach out with her mind and feel the FEAR of the dummy itself. Not something she did everyday, but she had the idea well enough. She could sense the dummy's energy, her claws grasping the air as her mind though about pulling it towards her. Though about it mending the injuries.

Slowly she opened a eye to see what was happening. To her surprise, she witness the dummies stiching sew themselves back together, the feeling of the dummies FEAR becoming more easy to sense the longer she focused on it. Soon enough the dummy looked good as new.

The Professor came over to asses her work, and she was shocked to receive a perfect score. Well, that was a lot easier then she first though. She still struggled with the finer logic behind it, but she had the 'feel' of the technique, So she'd be able to go and heal others with it.

Good, now maybe she wont have to visit the nurse office all the jacking time and just heal herself now.
