This is a list of powers that normal characters can have. Keep in mind, this is the norm. If you wish to have characters with special powers, please contact Beauty the Disaster, Jewel of Antares, or myself.

Note: Magic weapons are not allowed. This in indisputable and cannot be negotiated.

Rare powers are just that, rare! So unless you're character is royalty, nobility, or not human, they can't have these powers. And you must still ask first.

As for the normal powers, if you put down (element) specialty for them, then it's automatically assumed they have those abilities.

No, you're character doesn't have to have magic. It's just an option. Not everyone in Larcasia is magical.

Just to clarify: A person is born with the capacity for magic. Such as healing, for example, they still have to learn it. A person may be born with powers over wind, but they will not be able to use it without proper training. A baby cannot wield magic. These are not superpowers. I personally compare it to the Avatar series hoping to make people understand how they work. The elemental powers are controlled similarly. And if you read the list below, the available abilities are inspired by the Avatar series.

In short:
Your character must be well-trained to be powerful.
You may not have rare powers unless you contact myself or the one of the Vice Captains!

These rules are in place to prevent over-powerful characters.

Keep in mind, please, that the majority of characters are normal people. Unless they have a career that requires them to use magic, they probably wont use it. A goat herder doesn't need to call a windstorm. An archer doesn't need to have magic to hunt. Please be reasonable with these! And just because a character may have parents from two different kingdoms, doesn't mean they should have powers from both kingdoms. In fact they most likely won't.

- Spell Creation (lots of training required to create unique/custom spells)
Hexes (like curses, but temporary)
Curses (like hexes, but permanent)
Potion Brewing (non-magical skill, but can only be done by Saadethians)
Scrying (using reflective surfaces to see current happenings)

Saadethian (Rare)
Shape-Shifting (can shift into any common animal, mythical creatures not allowed)
Divination (stronger and more accurate than the non-affiliated Premonition power)
Transfiguration
Mind Control (extremely rare, minor, works only on weak-willed individuals)
Shadow Manipulation (extremely rare, physically taxing)
- Shadow Tendrils
- Shadow Figures (requires very strong magic)
- Shadow Teleportation
- Shadow Transportaion (transports objects)


Other (Common)
(As in anyone can have them)

Basic Empathy (the ability to feel a person's emotional situation)
Advanced Empathy (the ability to feel a person's physical situation)
- To have Advanced Empathy, you must have Basic Empathy and a lot of training.

Telepathy
Premonitions (miner/ not always accurate)
Summoning the prospective Kingdom's deity (Royalty, Nobility, and Clergy Only!)
Shape-shifting (Non-human)
Dragon Hybrid (CROWN PRINCES AND KINGS ONLY)

Clergy refers to people who work in the temples. I.E. Priest/Priestess, Monk, shrine maiden, ect.

Power Caps:
Due to the increasing number of characters, we will now have caps on powers and special characters.


Each kingdom may only have 4 characters with rare powers.
Note that the Ignius Aēsmian royal family will not take up slots for the colored flames.

Ištarazil Cap: 0/4
Ignius Aēsma Cap: 3/4

Each kingdom may only have 4 "special" characters
Just because the cap is free doesn't mean we will allow it! You must talk to a mod before making a special character! No exceptions will be made.

There may only be 5 Dragon shifters.

There may only be 4 characters with mixed blood.
Mixed powers or not, if they have mixed blood they are considered mixed. The mix cap is 2 kingdoms. So 3 or 4 kingdom bloodlines in one character will not be allowed.
Note that this won't include children born during the duration of the RP to existing characters.

There may only be 10 Saadethian followers at this time, 4 with rare powers, and 3 "special" Saadethian characters.
If you need to know more about the Saadethian following or you want to make a special Saadethian character, talk to the mods. We will help you.
Unfortunately, due to this being a new feature, caps will stack; if a character is both "special" and has rare power, they will take up a slot in both caps. This will likely change once it is better implemented into the guild, however.
