Sailor Forte still wasn't sure about any of this - let alone the 'uniform'. It seemed wholly unpractical for fighting, and while really pretty, it seemed like one wrong move and things might... slip. So before she even tried fighting a... whatever the monsters she'd been told about were, she needed to try and put the costume through its paces. Which mostly meant sneaking out after dark, finding a nice flat-roofed apartment to climb her way on top of. (Fire escapes were handy things, and she didn't yet know how extreme (or not) she could jump like this. Sure, it felt like she could do a lot, but she wanted to know. And the first step to knowing? Experimenting, but carefully. If she could leap tall buildings in a single bound, great, but she wasn't going to find out by trying and missing.) She had been on the roof for about fifteen minutes now, mostly jogging and occasionally shadow-boxing at an imaginary target, playing with her stance and range of motion. Sure, there was supposed to be some kind of magic attack or something, but Forte wasn't about to plan on relying upon something until she knew what it was and could do. For now, she'd stick to seeing if she could move and hopefully fight in this fancy silvery getup. Orangeish Sherbert Sorry it's kind of lame. ;;

Lysithea felt a lower level senshi nearby, and decided that it would be a good night to say hello, especially since the coffee shop she had gone to had messed up on her first order so now she had an extra drink to share with…whoever it was. Maybe it would be someone she knew, and maybe not…she had a secret hope that it was going to be Adria, since she hadn’t heard from her friend in a while, but she was sure he would have let her know if he was out patrolling…and honestly she couldn’t see him out on a night as cold as this one.
But someone was.
When Lysithea hopped up onto the building, she saw a…a ghost?
No, not a ghost, but a senshi all in grey, flowing grey, who might has well have been a ghost.
She was really pretty though, that was for sure. “Hey! You want a coffee? I’m Sailor Lysithea, and I went to grab myself a hot chocolate before coming out to patrol since it was cold and they gave me a mocha latte instead so I have this for you if you want, I hate the taste of coffee!”
So, she was being friendly, but honestly, she thought she might be brushing the edge of creepy, and that wasn’t what she wanted to do. “I’m uh. The senshi of Unicorns. It’s really nice to meet you!”

The voice out of nowhere startled Sailor Forte, and she stumbled backwards, drawing her arms up to guard (and potentially throw a punch) before she caught herself and paused. "Uhm. Hi?" This was.... this was new. New, and a lot stranger than she had expected. Sure, Miss Kitty had said there were others like her out there - including whatever one the cat considers 'hers' - but to come face to face with another one wasn't something she had expected. .... Let alone one bearing coffee. Blinking the new senshi worked her jaw a few times as she tried to think of what to say, then finally shrugged. She was just going to have to learn to accept the absurdity of her life or risk going nuts at this point, she was pretty sure. "Y'know what? Sure. It's damn cold tonight, anyway." Maybe she could ask this... Lysithea, was it? - more about this war she'd been caught up into. And the magic stuff. Because she was still entirely unsure how that worked - maybe she was doing something wrong by not knowing? "Uh I'm.... Sailor Forte. I... dunno what of, the cat forgot to mention that." This wasn't awkward at all. Noooooooope.

The eternal senshi held out the extra coffee to the younger senshi, and took a sip of her own hot chocolate. “Sailor Forte, hm? And you never got told what you were the senshi of?” Well, that wasn’t good, lack of knowledge like that lead to a senshi who was confused and lost and…that was sad.
“Well, we’ll just have to find another cat to let you know what you’re the senshi of. Were you told how to use your magic at least? Maybe there’s a clue in that as to what you’re the senshi of?”
Lysithea moved to the edge of the building and sat down, letting her legs swing over the side. “Just how long have you been awakened for? This must all be extremely overwhelming if you’re really that new…Do you have any questions that I can try to answer maybe? I’d like to help you out if I can.”

"Mm, she was trying," Forte said with a shrug. "Think I offended her by comparing her t' kyuubey." Maybe the cat wasn't hers, and she was a cat rather than a dog, but Miss Kitty had been trying, and so the new senshi felt somewhat protective of her efforts. "I didn't make it easy on her, gotta admit." She followed after the other senshi and sat next to her, trying to keep track of all the flowy parts of the ridiculous get-up she was stuck in, and started sipping at her coffee while she thought. "Uhm... a few days, maybe? I was up here to try and see what it's like moving in this, since apparently I'll have to fight? Not that I've got a problem with fighting, 's just, these sleeves look awful flowy and easy to grab onto..." Forte trailed off with an embarrassed shrug. "I really don't know anything yet, it was late when I met the cat and we just kind of introduced me to the fact that I can do this before we all went home and went to bed. Not really sure what to ask, anyway." Shrugging, the albino waved the hand not holding her gifted coffee out over the city. "I don't even know what or who we're supposed to fight, yet, just that I've been caught up in something ripped out of Nanoha or Shugo Chara."

“Kyuubey? What’s that mean?” Nanoha? Shugo Chara? Lysithea was lost. Utterly lost with these words. Well, this girl had some things she could explain too, honestly. “I don’t…understand what you’re talking about, what are all these strange words you’re using?”
She really just wanted to focus on getting Forte some information, but all of her helpful tips had gone right from her mind at these new things.
“I uh. Well, yeah, I really, don’t know what you’re talking about with those things, I’m sorry! But how about…did you get your phone, at least? Your senshi phone? So long as you have that…” She summoned her senshi phone and held it up, snapping a quick picture of the grey senshi.
“See? I took your picture, and now I have your contact information. If you have your phone, you can take my picture and do the same thing! Then, if you have any questions later, just text me on the senshi phone…or hell, I’ll give you my normal phone number too, just to make it easier.”

"You..... never had classmates who liked anime, I see," Forte said, then shrugged. Ah well, it wasn't like it bothered her that this lady thought she was speaking an alien language. "Try looking them up sometime, see how it compares to what your life is." After a moment, she blinked and frowned, trying to remember how to... well, 'get' the little object. "Yeah, but I've never used it - I mean, 's a phone, but I'd have to have people to talk to and stuff..." Which... was apparently what this girl was offering, though the albino teen couldn't quite think why. "Uhm... hold on." After a few minutes of thinking, sipping her coffee and fumbling with thoughts of how weird this whole thing was, she managed to bring out her own little phone and cradle it in her hand. "...Wait, all y' have to do is take a picture to be able to reach the person? That's..." Strangely convenient, but probably weirder than the rest of the things she'd heard so far. Was this supposed to be a magical girl anime or some kind of Star Trek reject? .... And when and why had her life turned into a bad mishmash of sci-fi/fantasy?

“Oh, no I’ve never really been in to anime…but maybe someday we could hang out and you could hang out and we could watch some?” Though, maybe that sounded a little creepy, this girl was clearly a lot younger than she was, but…but whatever. She was interested in learning something new, and this girl clearly could use an older, more experienced mentor.
“Good! I’m glad you have your phone, that’s important. That’s also how you can get up to your…uh. Do you know if you’re named for a planet or a star or what? I’m named…for a moon of Jupiter. Lysithea…and anyway, your phone will let you go to the place that your power comes from, your homeworld. It’s pretty amazing, I’m not going to lie.”
She fell silent, thinking of when she had gone up to hers, with the lavender grasses…of course she hadn’t had much time to explore, since she had taken Evan up there with her…but it was still pretty awesome what little she did see. “Oh, and yeah! It’s something about the magic in the phones, but when you snap a picture of someone, you can connect to their phone, it’s a great way to network.”

"Eh, I'n not all that crazy about it myself," Forte said with a shrug, "But it might be worth checking out for research purposes, since this ... magic stuff is pretty popular over there, maybe there's a reason for it or... or something?" She shrugged and imitated what Lysithea had done, taking the other senshi's picture before tucking the object away again, returning her focus mostly to the coffee she had been given. After a moment, she looked up, pale eyes in paler face as she thought about what she was being asked, what she was learning about, and... about the offer. The older girl - or, well, she looked more like a young woman, not that Forte was paying more attention. Several years older than her own 15, anyway. And yet she was offering to... "Why would you want to?" She asked at last, picking at her skirt idly with her free hand. "I mean... we're on the same side, I guess, but that doesn't mean we have to be best friends, and I'm not stupid enough to think most adults want to spend time hanging out with..." Well, with her. But there were other things to talk about, things that weren't nearly so painful to discuss. "Uh - planets? Stars? I'unno. Something called Forte I guess? I'll have t' look it up, but I don't know of anything off the top of my head that'd have that name..."

Why would you want to?
Now, that was not a good question to be asked. That made things honestly sad. “Why would I want to hang out with you and help you?” Lysithea took a sip of her drink and stared out over the city. “I think...because nobody helped me when I was starting out. I had to fumble around and it was hard, really hard to find my bearings and...honestly there are times when I’m still unsure about how to act or what to do. I think...since I didn’t have a mentor, I really would love to be a mentor to help others...nobody should just be thrust into this nonsense alone.”
Especially not someone so young.
Honestly, if she could find the cat that woke this girl, she would have a few words for it. If she could, she would try to have words for all of the cats. Awakening and running wasn’t a nice thing to do, it left senshi confused and vulnerable...and it just wasn’t nice.
“So, Forte...I would like to mentor you, if you’d let me. And I’d like to be friends too.”

Oh. That was... actually a reasonable explanation. Forte hadn't been certain what she was expecting, but something that made sense wasn't it. "Well," she started to say, fidgeting with the (by now, mostly empty) cup of coffee she had been given, "If... if you really want to, I guess... I'd be okay with it? Uhm. The mentoring thing, at least." She still wasn't sure if she was the kind of person anyone could be friends with, let alone someone as nice as Lysithea was being. "I mean. 'm not turning down the friendship part, 's just... y' seem a lot older and I doubt we've got much of anythin' in common. And I'm... I'm not exactly the 'making friends with' type" And who wanted to befriend a St. Mag delinquent with a record, anyway? Ally seemed to want to, but Forte was still convinced that Ally was the exception rather than the rule, and hadn't ruled out pity as a motivator in her schoolmate's case, either. "...But speaking of 'this nonsense'. What exactly is it? I mean, drafted into a magical war that uses... I guess monsters or something? I got that much. But nothing's that simple. So what's the real deal? When did all this mess start? And is it really so bad off you have to draft teenagers into it?"

Oof. You seem a lot older. That comment cut like a knife! “I...I’m not that old...yeesh…” Lysithea sighed and rubbed her arm, looking just slightly put out. “...Do you go around telling everyone who’s barely over twenty that they’re old? I mean, you have to be at least sixteen or seventeen right? I can’t be that much older than you.”
Maybe she wasn’t that much older, but she sure wasn’t a teenager anymore, that much was for sure.
With a sigh, Lysithea shrugged “I mean, it really is so bad off from what I can see...we’ve been at this for years now and we still haven’t won...we haven’t even begun to start making a dent in their forces. The Negaverse, I mean. That’s the other side of all of this. Chaos. Chaos is what we’re fighting...it’s legit just good guys versus bad guys...and I really think we’re at a stalemate...but it’s a pretty deadly one.”
She looked almost sad for a moment, then shrugged. “I mean, I think we can win, in the end...I’m sure we can.”

Forte shook her head, torn between embarrassment and a kind of wry amusement. "I just turned 15 in September," she said, raising an eyebrow at the decidedly-older senshi. "....Does this mean you have a car? Do I have free rides to wherever I want now, or somethin'?" Probably not, but hey, she had to try. And it might just help lighten this grim-as-death mood a little. Ugh. Not just a war, a war they were more or less losing. (Sure, she said stalemate, but.... that didn't really sound like a stalemate situation to Forte...) "Right, no wonder the cats are desperate for new recruits. So uh. What am I supposed to do, specifically? How much difference could I make? I'm juts a fistfighter, I don't really.... do anyone any good. How'm I supposed to help win a stalemate?" No, the more she thought about it, the more she wasn't sure she liked this idea.... but she found the thought of sitting out and letting the good guys lose worse. Ugh.This whole thing sucked!

“You can help us win just by being here, Forte. You being awakened was no accident…you’re part of a bigger picture than you can possibly realize. And of course I have a car, and of course that means you can get free rides wherever and whenever you want, as long as I’m not working or something.”
She was somewhat surprised that the girl was only fifteen…she seemed at least a little older than that…but that didn’t matter. What mattered is she got the confidence to become a great senshi…and now that she had Lysithea as a mentor…well…
Okay so that really didn’t mean anything but whatever.
“How about you and I do some sparring practice sometime soon? That sounds good to me, we’ll stay in touch and help each other out.” And by help each other out…she clearly meant she would make sure Forte didn’t get killed out there, but hey. She was trying to be optimistic.
