Physical Description: Ristia is a small woman, standing at 5'3, with black hair and violet eyes. Her skin is tanned from her penchant for laying in the sun alongside her beloved Naeth as well as her love of jogging/running. She hates to wear restrictive clothes if she doesn't have to and prefers loose tank tops, sleeve/strapless shirts, or wraps. She's got a runner's build and has always kept up her physique through her years as a dragonrider.
Personality: Ristia may be a small woman, but she has a big personality. She loves hanging out with other riders in the mess hall and her laugh is very distinctive. She's not shy at all and has no problem going after exactly what she wants. She enjoys the finer things in life but doesn't mind getting down and dirty when she has to. She can be brash and blunt and many people don't like these qualities of hers, especially when they're turned on them. She doesn't see the point of keeping secrets or telling lies. Because of this, she doesn't sugarcoat anything, and she doesn't lie. When it comes to secrets, she doesn't have any of her own and she doesn't like keeping them for anyone else. If someone she cares about wants her to keep a secret, it would have to be something important, or something for like a surprise party.
History: Born at Keroon Hold to a Runner mother and a Beastcrafter father, Ristia was zooming around as soon as her little legs would hold her. There was nothing she wouldn't get into, her natural curiosity getting her into trouble more often than not. It came as no surprise to anyone when, at 8 years old, she became an Apprentice Runner with a tendency toward the racing aspect. When not caught up in her training, Ristia spent her time running messages and deliveries around the Hold for anyone who needed it. Her favorite moments were when dragonriders came to visit. She always did her best to ensure she was one of the ones who greeted them in case they needed a messenger. It was one of these times when the dragonrider she met happened to be a Search rider. She had just turned 14 and the possibility of such a thing happening, of her being Searched and becoming a Candidate, had been a faraway dream. She was content as a Runner, loved running. But dragons were fascinating, and she loved interacting with the ones that visited Keroon. It took her next to no time at all to agree to become a Candidate. Near the end of her 15th turn, Ristia Impressed her beloved Naeth. She and Naeth both got teased and looked at funny for their odd pairing, but they were both happy with each other. Ristia would often get angry on Naeth's behalf, but her beloved always helped her calm down and once everyone realized they wouldn't get a rise out of either of them the teasing stopped. Now it's kind of an inside joke and most of her fellow riders don't take issue with them anymore. For their first turn together, Ristia was often too tired and/or too wrapped up in caring for Naeth to keep up with her running. Once they settled into a good routine, Ristia got back into running messages. If it was a short run, she would let Naeth bask in the sun while she made the run. For longer trips she would fly with him. As an older rider now, she doesn't run as many messages but if she's needed she's willing. Over the years she's had several paramours, but she hasn't met anyone who lasted longer than a few years. She has a couple of kids running around the Weyr, but she was never the overly maternal type. She does keep tabs on her kids and keeps up some kind of relationship with them though. The arrival of Thread made her nervous and even now months later, each battle brings an anxiety she hasn't quite been able to get over. She'll never not fight Thread, despite having been burned by it once. She and Naeth both want to do everything they can to keep Pern safe from the organism.
Other: She still keeps up with her running. Also she has a Threadscore scar from one of her first battles straight down one arm that she keeps wrapped up.

Physical Description: A small Blue, Naeth is a sky blue color with medium blue swirls all over his body.
Personality: Naeth is the calm counter to Ristia's bold and brash nature. Always in her head, he knows when she needs to be cautioned to slow down or re-think her plans. He is steady and stalwart, loyal and loving. He can be lazy, but Ristia has always had the ability to get him up and moving so he doesn't get fat or lose mobility as he grows older and especially with Thread falling again.
