Angra Mainyu began his day during the evening after a number of hours in a slumber he must have needed following the days that lead up to and after the birth of his newest and most adored litter with his mate, Balia. She provided him a number of spawn, most with the delightful dark pelts he so desired. While he spent most of his time in the roguelands he did make the time to visit the balls of fluff he found he had a lot of pride in. Today would be one of those days he decided to visit them and found himself to be unlucky for the most part. It seemed that Balia had moved away from the border edging the rogue lands, which left him poorly guided to finding his family. That didn't mean he wouldn't see the cubs, just that he'd have to work a touch harder to do so.

At that exact moment, as Angra sought out his family, it seemed that his family was also seeking out him - this came through in the way of two purple eyes beaming through at him from a bush. They didn't move or adjust when spotted, but instead stayed perfectly still. Angra didn't immediately recognize them, but he did after a brief moment and his straight face broke into a small grin. The large lion dropped to his rump and began to look about dramatically. This was something he hadn't felt inclined to do with his previous litter, such a disappointment they had been - if any of them had made something of themselves he hoped to have heard so by now, but he was sure there wouldn't be anything to hear.

"I wonder if there is anyone around?" He spoke in a low, purposeful tone meant for the cubs ears. Of course if there were anyone else around he'd be sure to deal with them accordingly, but he felt sure that they pair of them had to be alone. His tail swished behind him and he had his gaze fall upon the bush cradling those purple eyes a couple of times. "If there were anyone hiding I'd surely be ambushed." He said out loud, that smile growing slyly on his lips. Finally he heard a pronounced rustling within the leafy confines of the bush the cub was using as a hideout - since he didn't see a small body leaping out at him he figured that perhaps his tricky little spawn would be a touch smarter than that.

Chernabog had started his young life with his parents together during his birth. He recognized his father and though he hadn't begun to understand why his father wasn't always around he knew well enough to know he was loved by both parents. It was because of the strange way his family lived that he had decided to seek out the borders edge. The general purpose was to perhaps find his father and maybe even convince him to stay put, never leave and come to their home - his home. As far as the cub was concerned he saw no other way to live. When he finally witnessed his father come into sight at the border he hid, no particular reason beyond natural instinct.

The instincts to follow were automatic, especially when it was clear to him that his father hadn't seen his swift movements - clumsy as they were, while he hid his dark pelt in a place he had no business hiding. The demon within him quietly mumbled urgings all along the way in a mischeiveous tone he simply couldn't ignore. Given the opportunity, such as seeing his father seat himself and swish that oh so tempting tail about was all the convincing he needed to pounce. But if he'd learned anything it was to try and be as sneaky as he possibly could, not that he was any form of sneaky yet.

But oh how he tried. "I will get him." He mumbled to himself, purple eyes swaying as the prey moved slowly, but surely back and forth. This was a fantastic opportunity! Oh how he couldn't wait to brag about the whole thing when he got home, but who would he brag to? This wasn't an approved outing by any means and was a struggle. Surely his brothers and sisters would tell on him. Without further ado, thoughts aside, he made a great leap at his prey as it moved closest to him and prepared to unleash his fury.

The cubs father was much quicker than this and though he'd have typically allowed his son to persue the desire to catch and maim, today was not going to done so with his tail. This was only just the beginning and though he couldn't have his whole family he wouldn't beg to find the rest and simply settle for the one he may be able to imprint with. "Chernabog." He declared in a proclamation of excitement as he swept the cub up to his chest in what was a choke hold of a hug. The lion wasn't known for his cuddling and therefore earned a furrowed brow from the youth who accepted the affections anyhow.

"Father." He smiled up at him, though he had to work through some attitude to get there. "I would have had you!" He stated and began to wriggle free from the grasps of his parent. The hug was becoming a little to much and the voice inside his head agreed, loudly. "Put. Me. Down." The small demon demanded and was happily rewarded with being dropped for the dusty floor. That dust rose around him in appropriate swirls that found his nose in a hurry causing him to sneeze and ruffle of his mane.

"Fancy a day trip?"

The large red lion was holding back a laugh that hurt his chest at the sight of his small, but mighty cub. The youth reminded him of darker days, but in the best of ways. He admired the ambition and fight in the tyke. "Sure Father, where will we go?" Chernabog felt his eyes become large, not by choice. Would a day trip mean time spent in the rogue lands?
