Diana had never been alone this long before, She'd always had her brother or her sister with her, keeping her safe, warm, and occupied. But today, she'd decided to venture away from the paths she was used to on the way to Adriana's house and settled down in a meadow to nap.
When she woke up, to her surprise, she had no idea where she was.
"Biii...?" She hummed, craning her head this way and that. ... Was this really where she took a nap before? It looked different. Her brows furrowed.
She hovered slowly upward, her wings giving a flutter as she yawned and stretched, and decided that she better figure out a way to get somewhere familiar. After all, she didn't want anyone to get worried about her!
However, after moving away from the meadow and taking several paths just to find herself back at the meadow again each time only served to confuse her. Eventually her lip began to wibble, her eyes filled with tears, and she sunk back down into the flowers with a defeated cry. She'd gotten herself lost forever! She was never going to get back home! Her family would be so upset!

It wasn't often that Cecily wandered back to the woods she used to call her home - sure, it was nice there, but there were too many painful memories that she was trying her best to separate herself from. On this day, however, she had allowed herself to get lost in thought, letting her feet take her where they willed - and while her mind drifted in a daydream, her body took her along a familiar path to a little clearing, deep in the woods - a clearing that she had deliberately avoided for months, now.
As she thought about what new way she was going to decorate her little space in Phee's attic - a hammock for a bed sounded fun, and would definitely make use of the room! - , she was startled out of her reverie by a cry in the distance. One that made her freeze in place and take in both her surroundings and the sound itself.
Belatedly, she realized she had had ended up in the very same clearing she had spent so long living in, and what she had heard... was a Celebii. Fighting the urge to run away, straight back to the little house by the sea, Cecily clenched her hands into fists at her side and followed the sound. That voice couldn't have been - have been him, and they were upset, besides.
Following the sound, she finally spotted the voice's owner as a small dark lump in the flowers.
"Uhm. Hello? I heard you crying... is everything alright? Can I help, if it's not?"
Well. Hopefully the little black lump of misery wasn't going to be as frightened of her as she would have been at this stage and in this situation. Cecily knew herself well, and she would have run away screaming - but with any luck, that wouldn't happen here and she could help without upsetting the crying probably-celebi further.

The little lump, so to speak, wibbled and sniffled as Cecily approached, but only lifted her head to look up when the girl spoke. Red eyes blinked blobs of tears away, cleared, and refocused on the face before her, and her tiny mouth fell open in awe. Antennae, like her's, and a pair of green wings to match... She wiped her cheeks and grinned.
"You look like my brother and sister!" She chirped, fluttering up from the flowers and peering closely at Cecily. Her tiny hands reached toward Cecily's antennae and then to her own with a nod. "Just like me! You're a Celebi, too!"
She wiggled excitedly and kicked her feet, before remembering what she'd been so upset about. She looked to Cecily with a pout.
"I got lost..." She whimpered, tears welling back up again. "I wanted to visit my big sister, and I wanted to be like her and fly around the forest too just to know if I could... But now I don't know where I am and I'll never see them again!"

Her - her brother and sister? Cecily knew in an instant who the little black Celebi meant by 'brother' - it had to be Brennan, had to be. But another sister, who looked like - like they did? It made her feel ill, somewhere deep inside of her, to hear how easily and thoroughly her estranged brother had replaced her - twice or even thrice over, it now sounded like. But... even if it did hurt, this little one didn't bear any fault.
If anything, she seemed barely more than a baby, by how quickly her moods were changing. It was... kind of cute, actually, and Cecily reached out to catch one of the dark-colored celebi's small hands in her own fingers, a smile on her face that surprisingly enough wasn't at all forced. "I am a Celebi, but I don't think I'm half as cute as you are," she said, and swung her hand back and forth to swing the pokémon's arm gently.
"You'll see them again! I promise you will, I don't htink you've gone as far from home as you're afraid of," she soothed, while wondering how the littler legendary had managed to escape unattended - but then, it could be easy to be sneaky when you were that small! "Do you want some help finding one of them? I don't have anywhere to be today, and you shouldn't have to keep trying to find your way all alone..." Another thought occurred to her now, and she tipped her head to one side, thinking. "What's your name, anyway? I'm Cecily!"

Diana's lips wibbled, but Cecily's soothing voice softened her away from crying. However, her smile fully returned when she found her arm being swung about, and her typical giggle rang out like a bell. This Celebi was so nice and pretty! Why hadn't they run into each other before? Did Brenny and Adriana not know about her? Maybe she could introduce them one day!
If she ever got home to either of them.
"Yes!" She chimed, her wings fluttering excitedly. "I... I don't know which way to go, but my big sister lives in a house in the forest with her family. I just can't remember where..."
She looked toward the paths for a moment and pouted again, before looking up to Cecily again. Oooh, what a pretty name! She'd have to try and remember it when she got home!
"I'm Diana! I like your name, Cecily!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands. "It's like a pretty flower, or celery! Cecily, Cecily! You can sing it, too!"

This celebi wasn't merely youthful in that sort of timeless way many of her kind were known to have, Cecily realized thoughtfully. This was a very young Celebi, and that meant there was absolutely no way that Cecily could leave her alone for very long. It just wasn't safe for a littler pokémon that could still be caught, let alone a legendary.
Not that she was about to bring up scary things like that in front of the baby!
"You can sing it, yes!" she said instead, giggling and mimicking Diana's clapping with her own. "And you can sing yours, too! Dii-aaa---nah, Diii-aaa-naah~!" It was a bit off-topic and certainly not helping the black legendary get back to her home, but it would help her calm down, which was just as important.
"Can you tell me more about your house, Diana? What's around it? Is there anything interesting there? Places you like to hide, or to sit and watch people from, or play around?"

Diana giggled and continued to clap as Cecily sang her name, but was quickly brought back to the topic of getting home. Her little brows furrowed at the first question. Which home? Brenny's or Adriana's? ... Well, she was supposed to be with Adriana today, so it was best to think about interesting things that were around there! She pursed her lips.
"There's a pond and a big garden near my sister's house!" She replied, tapping her chin in thought. "Aaaand, I think she has a swing set with a slide! I like to hide under it sometimes when we play!"
She closed her eyes and tried her best to remember the color of the slide and all the flowers in the garden, but her curiosity got the better of her. She tilted her head at Cecily.
"Do you like to play on swing sets?" She asked, before another question had her gasping. "And where is your house?"

"A pond and a garden?" Cecily echoed, pleased that the littler celebi had a nice home. She wasn't struggling like Cecily herself had, and if she ended up as a pokéhuman (which, honestly, was likely going to happen sooner or later), she wouldn't be struggling to make do on her own like Cecily herself had, at first.
"Mine? Uhm. Well, for a long time I didn't have one," she confessed, running a hand through pink-and-green curls as she thought. "But then I met my friend Phee, she's... kiiiind of like a big sister now, I guess, if she wants to be, and she let me stay in her house when the weather started getting cold." She shrugged and closed her eyes, thinking over what she had been told by the little black celebi, then frowned.
"Okay. Do you remember anything you passed before you first got to this meadow? Just the first time - think hard, okay? And - and don't feel bad if you can't remember. If you can't, you can come home with me for the day and I'm sure Phee will be able to find your family. She knows a lot of people."

Oooh, Cecily had a big sister, too! Big sisters were super awesome! They were just as good as big brothers, that's for sure! Diana let herself imagine what Cecily's big sister could look like and eventually decided that she had to have pretty hair and a pair of Celebi wings. After all, if Diana lived with other Celebi, then it had to be the same for Cecily! She nodded to herself.
"Uhhhh... The first time...?" She repeated, scrunching her face up as she thought. "... I think there was a big sign with words on it! I didn't know how to read it, though, so I flew past it."
She pursed her lips and gave her wings a sorry little flutter. But where was that big sign now? How far away was that? She grabbed the sides of her head.
"I can't remember where it is, though! I'm lost forever!" She cried.

Well, the information was certainly... informative, though not particularly useful. It certainly wasn't going to get the little pokémon home any time soon! And now that she thought about it, Cecily wasn't entirely certain it would be a good idea to wander around with Diana, searching aimlessly for a place she had never seen and Diana simply couldn't find again.
But that didn't mean they were out of ideas! A new plan forming in her mind, Cecily shook her head and brought a hand to Diana's, squeezing the little nubbin-arm gently.
"It won't be forever, you'll see! What you can do for now is come back with me, and play at my home for just a little while while I figure out how to get in touch with your sister. Not Brennan. They were too estranged to make contact at this point - but the sister Diana mentioned, maybe.... maybe she would be alright to talk to.
"And who knows! Maybe where my home is will be somewhere you recognize, somewhere you can find your house from!"
