Huffing slightly in annoyance, Paladin considered himself in the mirror. He was so tired of looking like a little, lost waif. Even more was he tired of feeling directionless and adrift in life. It was time for a change. Okay, he thought as he swept his bangs from his face, more than time. He’d figure out the easier stuff first. Like a new look. He liked having longer bangs. But did he really need the rest of that mop of curls? Paladin was pretty sure the answer was ‘No.’ As for clothes, well…? Longer pants and shirts that didn’t look like they came out of the little kids department would go a long way to helping him look more adult.

“And what about our direction in life,” he murmured to his reflection. He rather thought that he’d enjoy working at or running a nursery. Or maybe working in a florist shop. He enjoyed flowers and the thought of working amongst them sounded so soothing! And really, there were worse life choices than being paid to enjoy flowers. THough… he could carry the thought further. He also liked playing with different toiletry recipes. Soaps were easy to make. So were lotions. He even enjoyed bath bombs. Why couldn’t be combine his love of flowers with the fun of making prettily scented things for others?

“No reason why it couldn’t work,” he murmured absently as he continued to tug his hair this way and that, trying to figure out what suited him best. Oh, of course, he would have to finish school. But did he need to go on to one of the Universities after he finished at the Academy? He already knew what to mix for his concoctions. And people without college educations dabbled in making far more complicated things without issue. Tapping his claws against the sink absently, he decided he would wait and see how he felt closer to graduating the Academy. After all, there was no rush. And some plans were all the better for plenty of thinking over.
