Physical Description: At 6'4, Z'yden is taller than most. He's muscular but wiry and most people he knows describe him as stronger than he looks. His hair is red and he keeps it shaggy, brushing his shoulders at its longest and just above his ears when he finally goes to get it cut. His eyes are bright green and have been called 'feline.' Z'yden prefers to wear loose, sleeveless shirts no matter the weather but in the colder months and for trips between he has a leather jacket that he adores and has had for years. It's worn and patched up, but keeps him warm and he'll be sad to see it go when it finally falls apart. He prefers to wear snug pants and boots.
Personality: Despite his size, Z'yden is the kind of guy who prefers to stay in the background. He can be very shy around people he doesn't know, especially people he might find attractive. It's very rare for him to raise his voice outside of emergencies or fighting Thread. When he makes friends, it's for life and he's very loyal to the people he cares for. Trust is something he holds in very high regard and once someone has broken his trust it can be next to impossible for him to give it to them again. He tries not to hold grudges against people, but he has been known to do so. His personal rooms tend to be messy, but he keeps Sameth's weyr meticulously clean.
History: Born to poor parents in Nabol Hold, Zayden had always hated the corruption inherent in the residents and especially in their Lord Holder. His parents, miners themselves, had no desire for their son to live the same life and did everything they could to get him work anywhere else in the Hold. Until he was ten, Zayden helped out in the kitchens and as a messenger runner. He was nearing eleven Turns when he brought a message to one of the wealthier residents who decided he was being wasted in the kitchens and sponsored him to the Courtesan Hall. His parents were relieved at the news and were happy to see him off. He became an apprentice Courtesan and learned he favored the art of massage while he was there. On a rare visit home to see his friends and family when he was sixteen, a High Reaches Search rider was there and informed him that he could be a Candidate if he so chose. He had never seen dragonriding as a possibility before, counting himself lucky to have been sent to Western Hold to learn how to be a Courtesan. But now that it was an option, he had to give it some serious thought. One of the biggest positive to becoming a dragonrider, should he be so lucky, was never having to live in Nabol again. Not to mention the stories he'd heard from visiting dragonriders of the joys of being bonded to a dragon. It didn't take him long to accept and make his way to High Reaches. He worked hard as a Candidate and kept his hopes up. Three years and several clutches later, Z'yden heard the sweetest sound inside of his head. He had Impressed a beautiful Blue named Sameth. For their first Turn together while Sameth grew up, Z'yden did everything possible for his bonded including using his massage knowledge to ease some of the growing pains. He'd never been happier in his life. Since then, they have trained and fought together and loved every minute of it.
Other: He still likes to keep up his massage training and will sometimes visit the Junior Werylings and teach them a few basic tricks that will help their dragonets as they grow.

Physical Description: Sameth is on the large end of the Blue spectrum and is a medium blue color with darker blue speckling over his back and the tops of his head, neck, wingribs, tail, and front legs. The bottom of his jaw down to the middle of the bottom of his tail is a pale blue.
Personality: Quite the opposite of his bonded, Sameth has always had a mischievous streak. He is very playful and has been known to nudge his bonded closer to other humans he may be attracted to if he's close enough. He enjoys treats and has no qualms doing small tricks for extra treats or even just affectionate petting from whoever might be nearby. However, like his bonded Sameth has a keen sense of loyalty and will hold grudges against those he feels he cannot trust.
