"I am the night."
The voice echoed across the mostly empty courtyard, startling the small mouse who had furtively begun to make his way across it. The DCU campus had a bit of a pest problem, and a certain tuxedo cat was on the job.
She darted out of the shadows, a blur of white and black and glowing green eyes-
And ran straight into a potted plant.
"MrOOW!" she complained, rubbing her sore nose and watching her meal scurry to safety. This sucked. Everything sucked. Slyvia was a Strong Independent Cat, gosh darn it. She did not need hand outs to survive.
Her stomach grumbled.
Okay, she totally needed handouts to survive. It was always rough when the students went on break for the holidays; no one hanging around to give her food or a warm place to take a nap. With a weary sigh, she sat back on her haunches, grumbling to herself.

It had been a while since Victoria had started working at Romano's. He was starting to learn the negaverse a bit better, at least he was under the impression he was.
No longer was his apartment all bare, thanks to friends and this lovely thing on the internet called pinterest. Who knew such useful things were online; and tonight? Well, tonight Victoria was wondering around the DCU campus he'd been looking at the programs they offered earlier in the day and just hung around since not many people were there.
Night had fallen and the corrupt wasn't interested much in doing anything except wondering around getting a feel for the campus when he had found a cat, chasing a mouse. He was also pretty sure the cat had just spoken since there wasn't much of anyone else out here. Though, he assumed that the cat was also a Chaos aligned cat.
"Well, how is being the night working out for you?" He asked, the Russain accent still noticeable but even to him it was noticeably toned down from when he was first awoken.

Syl jumped a little bit, glancing around guiltily. She was trying to get better about not just talking to herself randomly, but it was so hard. Life as a corrupt cat could be awfully lonely.
Still, how cheeky. She squinted up at the young person who had appeared as if out of nowhere.
"It's gonna get better in a second. Got any food?" She flicked her tail irritably, and tried to look more aloof than desperate. As an afterthought, she added, "Do you talk to cats often, or am I just special?"

Victoria tried not to laugh as he'd noticed Syl jump a bit. However, he was smiling at the cat until she asked him about having food.
He tilted his head in a slow questioning manner and then chuckled, "Well no, not on me, but if you're hungry I'm sure we can get you something . . . . kitty?"
There was another pause as she added if he talked to cats often. The fact that it sounded a little sarcastic made him frown. "Not usually no, granted I've been told about these fantasy cats that speak. So, either your not real or you're a guardian."
Obviously, the young man was willing to jump to conclusions and assume since the cat was the only one there.

"Oh, I'm quite real," she assured the senshi. Real hungry, she thought. After an awkward pause, she added, "Sorry."
Sylv flicked her tai and absentmindedly pawed her nose. She supposed cats like her weren't particularly common - she hadn't seen another in ages, except perhaps in passing, and then she was never quite sure unless she was practically on top of them.
"So, I'm your first guardian cat, huh? Not very impressive is it?" She sniffed. "Well, some of us do better than others, I suppose."

He gave a wary smile as she said she was quite real.
He nodded softly when she asked if she was his first guardian cat. "Yeah, as far as I know anyways. None of the others have talked to me so . . . . if they were guardians."
He looked around, she'd said she was hungry. So the corrupt senshi picked up the cat and started off while they were talking. It kind of didn't occur to him that he might should've asked her. "Well, you're a talking cat, it's fairly impressive. At least if you ask me."
He paused, "So is there any wisdom you'd have to offer? Dia'd mentioned that you guys knew all kinds of things."

Sylvia stiffened at first, then relaxed into the senshi's arms. She was tired, she told herself. She was still a Totally Bad a** Strong Independent Cat. She was letting him carry her. "Eh, I've met some talking cats I wish would just shut up," she quipped, thinking of her few encounters with her order side counterparts. "What do ya wanna know? I can give you the basics."

"Oh?" He seemed curious about the cats that wouldn't shut up, "Are they that annoying?"
There was another silent moment as he carried her, trying to think of the best place to head for food. "The basics would be a good start, I have a pen, but apparently you're suppose to have a cat for that? According to what Dia said. . . . I don't remember a cat?"
He frowned slightly confused, "I just woke up and here I was, apparently I'd been a part of the other side." There was a small pause, "So anything, is useful information, really."
