Idonea stretched as she awoke. Carefully, she stood and shook out her mane before looking around the land and gaining her bearings. With a great yawn, she plodded along seeing that she'd been left to her own devices today. Breakfast.. mustn't forget breakfast if she could find it. Winter time made the pickings slim but at least she wasn't freezing. Her usually fluffy fur was denser this time of year giving her undercoat a downy sort of softness.
She made her way to the large open area to look for breakfast. Carefully, she made her way around the dead shrubs and tree. Dead.. the term just didn't seem to fit. It seemed some how wrong. The plants were till living they were just... sleeping. After all a truly dead thing fades and rots, returning to the earth. Much had happened. Her father's father had resurfaced, a stressful weight on the family. What was more was he'd made the family even bigger. She now had uncles. Granted she'd never met these uncles. It wasn't like Alban.. this was different. There was still something... stiff about her father's air when her grandfather was mentioned. Shaking her head to chase her thoughts, she stopped at the edge of the tree line.
Pausing, she looked out to see if the coast was clear. It would have been much easier if Binky were with her, though she knew the mischievous little raccoon was likely with her own family so she's have to make due without her for a little longer. Finally, she decided to step out into the opening to forage for food. Her steps were slow and careful as her eyes roamed over the scenery.
