The morning had started on just like any other. Cleaning around her home making sure it was tidy and neat. Why? Who knew. She hadn't had company in such a long time. If she were to admit it out loud she would have labeled this feeling as boredom with a tid bit lonely mixed in. She eyed her somewhat bare home with a frown and tried to ignore the sense of wrongness. It felt like something was missing. Maybe a walk would do her right and wash away this sense of darkness. A new year would be occurring soon and funny that. How quickly time passed within a blink of the eye.
"Come on Jonna," She spoke while straightening her posture. "Don't be such a grumpy gus.A walk will do you good." With that little pep talk she made her way to enjoy the sunshine and brisk wind.

Training that morning was a bore. A bore in the sense that she would rather be assisting Omni with various things, but the mare told her to enjoy the day off. If they hadn't stumbled upon a bone yard they would probably be traveling right now, but Omni wanted to spend two days praying for the lost souls. She understood why. She just never met someone like Omni before. She cared so much about those that had passed on that she devoted her life to it. She admired that about her.
She snorted and walked through the tall grass hating the strong rays of sunlight beaming down on her. She was a nocturnal beast by nature and usually she stayed hidden during the day. However today, she was wandering for her own purpose. She was going to try and find some fruit for Omni to keep her spirits up. She made sure she brought one of the satchels with her so she had something to carry them in. She spotted the mare in the distance and stopped digging her claws into the ground. This would make for an interesting day.

She had been moving around for quite some time now and had seen many other soquili. Everyone rushing around in a hurry. Maybe they had plans to spend the new year? One could only guess. As quick as they had come they had left just as quickly. Silence reigned for a moment before a prickle on her neck caused Jonna to glance slyly to her left as well as right. Maybe it was just someone trying to find some nosh... but then again who knew what the world was capable of sending her way. Jonna almost jolted with surprise when she spotted the cause of unease.
The other soquili was quite the dark beauty, a beauty that Jonna had never seen before. She eyed all the wings and... was that a skull? How interesting. A goodie or a badie? One to not back away from the unknown Jonna nodded her head in greeting and in all seriousness. "Interesting accessories you have there." If things went sour Jonna had a backup plan to get the hell out of dodge.

Friendliness wasn't one of Cirilla's strong suits and this mare wasn't making things very easy either. She was nice and trusting for the most part, but that was fine with her. "They are a part of me just like that tabard is a part of you. Accessories imply that you remove them..I do not remove these. They stay with me through everything." She said lightly seeing the other mare flinch the tiniest bit making her narrow her eyes a little bit on her. If this was years ago she would have hunted this mare down and killed her for food. She was different now. She was more mature and withdrawn. She knew how to control such bloodthirsty urges. "Sorry if I'm a bit crude..I'm not use to making small talk with others." She emitted a faint growl stretching her wings out one by one before letting them rest on her back.
"Call me Ciri." She started walking past the younger mare feeling a little bit more calm about this acquaintance. "I am looking for fruit for a friend..have you seen any..?" She asked looking back at the mare. She continued onward spotting an apple tree making her grin slightly. Apples were something at least.

Jonna blinked and hadn't realized she flinched as she moved her leg the wrong way. Her leg usually was worse in the cooler weather. "Ah I see," She nodded at the logic. "Naw, it's a bit of alright. I'm not really good with others. I tend to mostly be alone." Alone protects me. She was brought out of her mind by the growl and shift of wings. They really were such pretty things and to have so many? She must get some serious fly time. "Jonna," She acknowledge the other female with a nod of introduction. "Oh, yeah I can say I have. Just over that tree line Ciri was it? Yes, the finest fruits that mother nature has to offer or so I've been told by the locals. That's nice of you to do that for a friend and I am sure that friend will enjoy it. Suppose that's a nice way to spend the last day of the year."
