Sitting at the computer, Daisy sighed in soft contentment as she crawled through Pinterest and her own personal cosplay files. Off to the side of her desk lay a notebook with what she could recall of Gale’s physical attributes along with random sketches of potential costumes. Since she didn’t want anything that involved body paint, it narrowed down her options considerably. Nor did she want to scare Gale off by using any of the ship du jours. Gale was cute and all, but Daisy knew fandoms and how they tended to react to ships. There was no way in hell she was subjecting Smol New Frand to that nonsense.

“Right,” she muttered under her breath as she mentally crossed Steven Universe, MLP and Adventure Time off her list. “Maybe weird mashups? Could be fun…”

Moss green eyes lit on a page devoted to fanart of Disney princesses dressed up in Final Fantasy and Jedi costumes. Grinning she clicked on a few images and saved them for reference. Now something like this could be fun! Minimal makeup, minimal paint and no threat of ardent shippers to harass them. And no need to worry about the idiots who quibbled over height accuracy either.

After a few moments thought, Daisy decided that Jedi Disney was her best bet. Especially, she thought with a crooked grin, when one stopped to consider how very little a lot of the ladies in Final Fantasy wore. Digging out her phone, she sent Gale a quick message.

Yo! Are you more of a Sith or a Jedi? Also, gimme your fave Disney Princess.

Even as she hit Send, Daisy found herself praying the answer to the latter wouldn’t be Rapunzel. Cute as it might be, the thought of working on the needed wig for that one gave her a headache. Oh sure, she could use the Rapunzel from the end of the movie, but no one would recognize it. And until she heard back, she couldn’t begin to work on Gale’s costume.

“But I can figure out mine.”

Abandoning the computer, Daisy rolled her chair across the room to where she kept her sketchbooks and selected one. The Jedi/Sith question would be decided after she sketched ideas for both. Far more difficult to choose would be her favorite princess. Frankly, she had little use for most of the girlier characters, far preferring the ones like Merida or Moana. And of the two, she could see far more potential in Moana. Oh sure, people would scream cultural appropriation if they saw a white Moana, but this would be Moana in the Star Wars universe. Ways could be found. Though that thought set her off on another path as she idly started to mash Star Wars up with her other fandoms.

She rolled back across the room to her phone and sent another text.

Hey, frand! Do me a favor and do a google image search for the Crystals in Steven Universe. Then, tell me which ones you like the looks of best. Just had another idea. Still needs the other answers too. Thnx!

Since all she could do was wait until Gale had free time to answer, Daisy bent back over her sketchbook, grinning and chuckling as the ideas came pouring out.
