Rock Band - Johnny Danger is in a rock band. More specifically, it's an 80's cover band, not unlike Rock Sugar but filled with back up musicians his dad hired instead of real band members. Johnny can actually sing quite well. The band's name is "The Danger Zone" and his stage name is, of course, Johnny Danger. Any time he isn't busy trying really hard not to flunk out of the shockingly difficult Azure Academy classes, he's practicing a new set with his band mates. While they may not be famous, The Danger Zone often tours the local DC circuit, performing at malls and events and sometimes even opening for slightly-bigger-named bands. This takes up a lot of JD's extracurricular time, and as such he has not yet joined any of Azure Valley's extracurriculars (like the golf team, gag).
Tweeting - What little time he doesn't spend at school or rehearsing and performing with his band, JD utilizes to blast the internet with 140 character bursts of complete and utter teen angst. He rarely spends any time at all thinking about what he's going to say - he just lets the poetry flow forth unheeded. Sometimes its song lyrics, other times it's shower-thought-level nonsensical ponderings, and sometimes its just bad egocentric selfies. His smart phone is glued to his hand when his textbooks and microphone are nowhere to be found, and he's found an outlet for all of his big boy feelings.
Virtues:
Heart on His Sleeve (Genuine)
Johnny is a quintessential teenager. He's got his heart on his sleeve, and is always honest with his feelings. Sometimes this can be kind of a pain in the a**, as his hormonal ranting is enough to drive even the mildest PR manager insane - his dad has given up on keeping them around for more than a few weeks. But hey, boy bands need that brooding, angsty image, right? Johnny is honest, even when it's not always in his best interest. He can be trusted to be true to himself, however convoluted that might be.
They Call Me the Workin' Man (Industrious)
For Johnny, going to work is like turning on a switch. The lights, the glitter, the glam... Something about the stage is soothingly routine to him. He's diligent and hard working when it comes to his trade, regardless of the drama llamaing he does outside of his attempted career as a musician. He's dependable and reliable, a real asset, and if it weren't for his behavior off screen his potential employers would be loath to see him go on hiatus.
Flaws:
Teenage Wasteland (Weenis)
Johnny can kind of be a whiny tool. Except not just 'kind of'. He's a teenage boy, and he's stuffed full of developing feelings that just keeps leaking out all over his life. It's getting worse by the day, and the unresolved anger toward his birth mother has only made it worse. Just because he's a daddy-funded rock star and has it ALLis reasonably well off doesn't mean he's nearly satisfied. He really can't see the forest through the trees, and it tends to make him pessimistic and unbearable.
Tender Lies (Gullible)
Up till now, his dad has been keeping Johnny in line by telling him what he wants to hear, and fortunately for him, it's working. Johnny isn't much of a thinker. It's not that he's too trusting so much as he's just easily baited. They got him to agree to enroll in school (and stop homeschooling) under the (false) promises that he would be given special treatment. It's not just his dad that's been leading him by the nose though- the rest of his family has too. There's a lot of family secrets and misplaced blame surrounding his tumultuous birth- but so far he hasn't figured it out.
