(Xanthus, Lena, Seung, Quinn, Delilah, Mercy)

Xanthus:
If it hadn’t been for Lena, he wasn’t sure what they’d have done for space, but having a girlfriend with strings to pull had it’s merits, and the boardroom after hours had enough space for everyone and the pizza’s they were setting out (He was pretty sure she’d excused it as some kind of club, but hadn’t inquired the details). It wasn’t quite the overladen dinner table from last time, but at least they had room, and he could find out if anyone… anyone had found anything that pointed toward things they might have lost in a thousand years of dormant souls.

“OK, I think that’s everything. Did we bring enough napkins? Last thing we need is a soda and pizza catastrophe in a borrowed boardroom.” He asked, distractedly, nudging a chair with his crutch to steer it into position. Things were improving, but he’d still gotten a lot better with crutches and the little scooter than he’d ever planned on.

“Damn this is driving me nuts. I’m itching to get back up there and look around again.” He grumbled. Hell, he was also itching to have a good scrap but he was smart enough not to admit that when he’d only recently gotten his necklace back on word that he’d do his best not to wreck any more shop fronts.

Lena
“You are worse than my mother.” Lena laughed, showing Xan for the 100th time the stack of napkins and cups they had. “Don’t worry. Between Mt. Napkin and the bathroom paper towels, if we have a spill, we will be fine!” At least that was what she told herself as she scanned the room once more. Everything of ‘value’ had been removed outside of the photographs from the landing on the moon. She figured those could stay on the walls. However the space rocks and helmets had magically gone into storage for the evening. Those did NOT need to be tried on.

Booking the room had not been hard. After the last time, they needed a larger, more focused place. Convince the guards to let in the ‘space club’ her boyfriend was a part of was even easier. It just cost her a pizza, a 6 pack, and some of Xan’s dignity. Oops.

“Now sit down before you break something else! And put that leg up! You know they said until you start walking again, ice and elevation.” Now who was slipping into mom mode.

Still, she ignored any face he might have given her and went to her bag for her phone. “They should be her. Marvin will bring them wave them in and direct them back here. Did you stress to them not to be late?” She added glancing towards the door.

Mercy

Mercy had been to the building before, granted, the last time had involved a government vehicle driving here there. Still, she waved at the guard and informed him her reason for being there and she was waved through and directed to the boardroom the “space club” was meeting in. While Mercy was loathe to call it that, she supposed that in its own way it wasn’t wrong. Still, she wished she was bringing better news to Xan, but oh well, maybe he could work with what she had - or rather hadn’t - found.

She did not announce herself beyond a light knock on the door as she entered the boardroom, followed by a small wave as she moved over to take the nearest empty seat she could. She knew Delilah was right on her heels, and she’d figure she’d let her older friend do the talking to start.

She had other things she had to mull over in the meantime.

Seung

He hadn’t been expecting such a meeting, at least not tonight...not with such odd things going on in the city, but he hadn’t complain as he’d bundled up in warm clothing before leaving with Terry for the meeting. The walk, and use of public transportation, hadn’t been so bad though it did leave his cheeks dusted pink from the cold air that hit his bare cheeks. His cheeks, and around his eyes, were the only parts of him not covered by some bit of fabric. Even as he and Terry approached the guard and gave their purpose for being here, a space club, Seung could feel the cold chilling his nose and making the tip go numb just a bit. His earlobes he hadn’t been able to feel for a while - damn earrings.

One gloved hand was inside his pocket holding onto a precious item he had brought with him for the downed knight of Mars. He hadn’t seen him at the meeting where the upgrades were passed out, though he hadn’t thought of it at the time, he was glad the elder Ganymede knight he’d offered the item to hadn’t wanted it. He hadn’t taken one for his partner either so he had two upgrades on his person, held gingerly in his hand.

“Should have brought food for people...something to drink maybe.” He whispered looking to Terry before pressing his cold nose into the others shoulder, in the hopes of warming the cold bit of flesh. There was no hope, yet, for his ears and them warming up. Time in doors would help but it would require some time, they were numb and he was sure they were also red, but the building as they entered was nice and warm. The walk to the meeting room wasn’t too terribly long but his nose, by the time they reached the doors to the boardroom, was warm again.

Delilah
As luck would have it, Mercy had a clue where they were going. When the address had been sent to her, Delilah could have sworn that someone missed typed. Nope...they were inside a NASA run building. Mind you, more the public parts but as she slipped into the boardroom with a smile towards everyone, she realized why it was picked.

Larger and more professional.

Hold the pizza which, she went right to and helped herself to a slice. “Sorry. Starving.” She mumbled through half a bite before taking up a chair next to Mercy.

In her bag though was the real find. She just wasn’t ready to share...yet.

Quinn
He was running just a hair late, it took longer to get out of work then he expected. Quinn was an it surprised when he got the address for the meeting, he thought it was wrong at first but it made sense as he made his way to the boardroom. It was private, large, and secure, even for a public building. They defiantly wouldn't be interrupted here, not unless something big happens.

He slipped into the room quietly, feeling oddly out of place even though his work outfit fit in what with the simple button down shirt and pressed slacks. He looked like he belonged in a boardroom even if he had ditched the tie and jacket in the car. It wasn't the clothes that made him self conscious but the fact that he hadn't really had a chance to do what they were here to talk about. Between work and school Quinn had been busy. Other then that one time with seung Quinn hadn't even visited his wonder… he hadn't even really powered up. He was kinda failing at his ‘job’ of protecting the city but figuring out time to patrol between the two jobs and school work was nearly impossible, let alone find time to go to his wonder. It was an excuse and he knew it, which made him feel even worse.

Xanthus

“I did but you know this city, stuff just ha…” Xanthus cut himself off as the guests began to arrive, visibly relieved as fellow knights and senshi, in civilian mode of course, sifted in. “Now we just hope I ordered enough pizza.” He joked, though he was pretty sure that they could figure something out in a pinch. At least it wouldn’t be like last time with the fridge overflowing with leftovers. They had enough problems with that at home since he’d taken on a few new … hobbies. Not that that had prevented certain desert experiments from being labeled ‘off limits’ to bring in and share.

“Great! Pull up a seat, grab some pizza, grab some soda. Obviously I… haven’t gotten to my homeworld in a bit but fortunately before I flipped a bike on myself I did actually manage to find something interesting, and I am -really- hoping it’s not just a symbol of cooperation but I couldn’t read the inscription, but that's getting ahead of myself. But I was kind of hoping to ask if anyone else had been wonder jumping or planet hopping before we got to that part of the show and tell.”

A bit of an downplay of what he was hoping to accomplish, but he still didn’t know if it actually meant anything, or if it had, for all he knew, been erected to confuse and alarm, or raise questions.

Lena
Coming up behind him, Lena gave both of his shoulders a squeeze in a simple ‘relax’ motion before she slipped past him to get them both a slice of pizza and a coke. “Glad no one seems to have gotten lost.” She added in, scanning the room. Stopping at Seung, she did give him a questioning look. “Is your friend not coming?” Okay, so she was pretty sure they were far more than friends but she wasn’t going to say it without complete confirmation.

With pizza and drinks in hand, she placed one set in front of Xan before taking a seat close by in case he needed to move. She had gotten used to the signs of him being about to jump to his feet and wanted to try and cut those off is possible.

“Sadly, I have nothing to offer from Meteora unless someone here has a friend or family member who has climbed Mount Everest. Because either there is more on the top of a cliff or Meteora is literally an edge on the side of the mountain waiting for you to fall to your death.”

Her behind still hurt from her attempt up and the rope snapping. Stupid tail bone.

Mercy

Mercy shook her head slowly. Had it not been for the fact that she deeply respect Xan and Lena, she would have likely bagged out on the meeting. Mainly because she didn’t feel she had anything important to contribute. Her visit to her homeworld had been entirely accidental.

“I didn’t find anything on Sabine. Rusted sabres and broken factory equipment,” She said quietly, eyes locking on the table as she spoke.

“It was just… Dead. Like everyone had just up and left and left everything behind. Whatever my homeworld did, well… They didn’t leave any signs they had helped others. There was a pretty huge fort too. I didn’t get too far in though, some of the lower level hallways had collapsed and I didn’t dare risk getting trapped.”

She looked up again giving Xan an apologetic smile. “Sorry I wasn’t much help…”
---
Delilah
She was three bites into the pizza and still chewing when she reached down and pulled back bag into her lap. Clearly something was in it more than her normal collection of ‘what’s in a woman’s purse’.

“Phact itself is dead. There isn’t any other way I can put it…” Her words were clearly harsh. Something had shaken her up but she wasn’t about to go into it. “Sand covers everything and most buildings are buried as well. However…” Now she pulled out the prize she had found.

A worn, clearly old and once covered in dust book came into her hands. Putting it on the table, she pushed it down towards Xanthus.

“The Moon was another story. I marked the three things I thought would be rather…” A smile cracked over her face. “Of interest.”
---

Terry

When he had first seen the address he had both been amused and thought that it was oddly fitting for the type of meeting they would be having. The trip to the building hadn’t been bad at all, made nicer by his company of course, though he would have been happier with it being a bit warmer out but what can you do. After Seung and he had passed the guard, he gave a little half shrug to the other man’s words, though the movement was cut short when Seung stuck his cold nose on him. “I’m pretty sure they would have let us know if we needed to bring something so don’t feel bad.” He offered up with a small smile.

However just before they got to the meeting room he sent Seung on a head so he could slip into the bathroom real quick which is why he didn’t enter the room at the same time as the other man. He did managed to slip in just before everyone started to speak about their planets and wonder’s, just after Lena asked Seung about him. Once he had some pizza and a drink he sat down beside Seung and listened to what the other’s had to say about their discoveries or lack thereof. “Erebus has a rather large library in the mansion, however the books are very old as you can imagine and I’m not sure what is the best way to approach trying to look them over without damaging them.” He spoke up after a moment, then his attention turned to looking at the book Delilah was holding with interest.

~~

Seung

Glancing to Lena, as she inquired about Terry, and he nodded his head once before following it up with a verbal answer. “Bathroom.” Which explained everything. Taking a seat for himself, foregoing the food and drink for now, he glanced up as Terry came into the room and helped himself to both before sitting at his side. Reachin, slowly, for the others drink he took himself a sip as Terry spoke.

Deciding to chime in right after him. “Haven’t been to Venice in awhile. Could find no library yet - just office and hidden room with...plays written. Office has many papers and things but can’t read.” Even if his ancestor were to have written them in Korean it would be an older form that he couldn’t read. He didn’t say that though, it was not needed. “Can try and ask ancestor...how to approach about such a thing - don’t know.” Maybe Terry could help him figure something out? It was something he’d have to approach slowly and delicately.

His own interest now settled on the book Delilah had pulled out of her bag, rather than the desk where his gaze had been fixed as he’d spoken. He felt rather...useless, or like he hadn’t tried. He’d just had a lot going on, with school and his own home life and those issues. But it felt they weren’t good enough excuses. Reaching for Terry’s drink again, without really looking to it, he took another sip before offering it to the other.

“I’ll look next time and speak with ancestor.”

---------

Xanthus:

“I had to fall in a hole before anything and I still couldn’t read it. It didn’t look like it had Martian script though… but I don’t know that for sure either.

Xanthus was clearly trying to contain his interest when he saw the book from the moon, itching to page through it, but trying to listen carefully nevertheless. “I don’t expect everyone to find something I’m just glad if people try… besides the fact that two of us found literally anything...”

That was amazing. And he was itching to know if they lined up.

“Definitely tell me though if your ancestor has anything to say though, even if it’s vague… the … I found a fountain. It was pretty damn vague. ANd kinda -creepy-. He added after a moment. “Kairatos is also empty, like everyone just… walked out and left. But the more I’ve been there the more the… the murals and such… they’ve looked brighter and more complete. I’ve even seen worlds with plants, but if Kairatos is capable of growing so much as a blade of grass again, I haven’t seen it. The only reason I knew it was even a fountain was you can still see the pipes…”

He tugged the book closer as he talked, sketching the scene with his other hand.

“There was a … I think it was a royal maybe, but they had a crystal and a sword. All the details were gone though. And knights and senshi, but they were all faceless. It looked like they were doing something to a kneeling figure in black and white marble and it was…

It was really interesting but creepy as hell. And there was an inscription on the base…” He paused to pat his own pocket for a copy of the word, or at least as best as he could remember it, then realized he had apparently forgotten it somewhere. “I’ll get it to you later. The stone doesn’t match any of the others in the area. Not enough red from the iron, so it might have been imported from off world.”

He paused to lift the cover of the book almost guiltily, frowning at the figures as he opened it fully then, to look at the pictures. The chains… the… for lack of better word… disgust? Distain? He didn’t know. Then the third… well…

All of them looked similar enough to raise the hairs on the back of his neck and arms, but…

He slid it back toward Delilah, with wide eyes.

“...It looked a bit like that. It looked a lot like that. I’ll take you when my parole officer authorizes off world travel.” He added, with a grin to Lena and a wink. She was apparently the ‘parole’ officer and he didn’t seem to mind, or not as much as he might have.

“Terry, if the books are in bad shape, just… give it time and visit when you can I guess? It might improve like the murals. First time I popped into my wonder I tried to pick up a scroll and it disintegrated. Clearly the moon’s in better shape, but the moon isn’t like most wonders or worlds. It’s more like Olympus Mons. It’s damaged but it’s beyond any one of us I think. But seriously, no one appologize. I’m glad you guys are helping at all.”

---

Mercy

“Well, if you need is to keep looking then I will try again when I can.” Mercy said, hands fidgeting in her lap as she spoke. “I mean, I should probably visit Sabine on a regular basis and at least explore a little to see what might be there…”

It was her homeworld after all, and she was pretty sure that there were things there she could learn. But it felt so cold and empty and she felt the tears welling up again so she just dropped her head.

Mercy hadn’t really experienced the jarring experience of feeling connected to a long dead place before, and it was hitting her a lot harder than anticipated.

She did manage to stem the flow of tears, but remained silent. Not wanting to risk another episode.

---

Delilah
Delilah leaned forward at the open book he pushed back towards her. When she saw which image it was, the raven haired woman felt a smile on her face.

“Well, that says something then.” Sitting back in her chair, she listened to the others for a moment, trying to not kick Mercy under the table. “One is by chance. Two, on different worlds says something. Three…” Leaning forward on the desk, she glanced towards Xanthus.

“I have to wonder...The Moon and Mars had something. Maybe the other planets in this system would. It’s harder to test with things like the home worlds of Mercy and I because our worlds are truly not connected to the close nit appearance of the 9 planets…” She shot Lena a look her rolled her eyes and just smiled. “8 planets and a rock in this system.”

Slowly her eyes turned to the others. “Which makes me wonder about all of your wonders even more. If we are going to find anything, I think starting with this system is a good place.” Finally she latched back onto the ‘ring leader’. “ Xan, tell us about your wonder. I’m curious about something...what was it used for? If something about it may be a clue as to other places we could find leads. The moon was clearly a hub...using the term loosely. So it doesn’t surprise me too much to find different levels of info on it. ”
---

Quinn

Quinn kept his mouth shut as everyone mentioned their trips to their own homeworlds, well not really shut since he was slowly consuming two pieces of pizza. Everyone had tried to do as Xan asked and other then that one trip with Seung, Quinn hadn’t been back to his wonder since. They had found the library, or he assumed it was the library, but other then straightening it they didn’t see anything useful.Delilah was even able to bring back a book! Green eyes studied the tome as curiosity wanted him to reach over and flip through it but he didn’t, he kept his hands to himself. He wondered if maybe his wonder hid something like Xan’s fountain since there were still plenty of rooms that he hadn't checked out yet. Hell the ‘guest’ halls had artwork from who knows where that might have something to help Xan out.

Even with his slices done Quinn kept silent. He wanted to know about Xan’s wonder as well, although he would love to see how the others homeworlds and wonders looked as well. His was just a giant spa, nothing horribly interesting other than the falls themselves. Well the fact that there was such a wonder on Pluto, was his the ‘rock’ Delilah ment?, was rather fascinating but other then the knight side of the wonder everything else was so impersonal it wasn’t even funny. He had stopped checking out the guest rooms after the tenth one since they were all the same.
---

“Kairatos was… well … as far as I can remember it saw a lot more traffic than some parts of Mars, like the prison wonders, would have. It was had a training area, and the Bulls were bred for fire and war but also pride. We’d show off, and compete, and learn… “

...Sort of a hub… like the moon. But on a lesser scale. Huh. Granted he didn’t know as much about the moon but the way she described it…

His expression shifted rapidly as he calculated this bit of information into what he knew, clearly trying to wrack his brain for anyplace else he might find that matched that description, though at least one that came to mind was off limits, being someplace he’d only heard implied to be that kind of place, and belonged to someone who had functionally vanished and for all he knew might be dead anyway.

“Damn. That never even occurred to me. I’m impressed…” He added, to Delilah, and flashed a broad grin to Lena, apparently hoping to share this burst of tentative excitement.

----

Seung

Looking from his drink, or rather Terry’s, to Delilah he nodded his head once. “Could be anything in this system with information - maybe.” They had potential if it was due to being connected, or close, to the moon which seemed to be some sort of hub, or at least it had been in the past.

Watching the dark haired female he hesitated a moment before seeming to come to a decision, as he’d been clearly unsure of what he was just about to do. “Delilah...come with me next time - to Venice. Was a big theater….quarters were hidden and rooms, bedroom and bathroom, behind paintings. Have not looked much - maybe library. Can help me if it’s found…?” he asked hopeful to have her help, since she knew what they were looking for and having two people searching would be best. Plus he did want to branch out a bit...he should really do that a bit more.

It was that thought, about the others, that he remembered something else and almost jumped in his seat before reaching for his pocket where he had two ring upgrades. “Don’t have more than two of these...but Quinn...Kairatos. From Scholomance - new ring upgrade.” he said pulling them out before removing his own ring and setting it onto the table. “Goes under stone...like mine. Will tell health...pulse, oxygen...can set for what you want but only works for self. Can let others read it - I think.” With the two upgrades on the table, and his ring, he focused back on Delilah.

--------

Mercy

Mercy was snapped from her inner turmoil by Seung’s request. She could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, and she took a slow breath, letting the air slip out in a long, low huff, before she lifted her head, looking at the man across the table with a stern expression, as if she was standing her ground.

“Actually, Seung… Delilah is already helping me with recovery efforts on Sabine, and as much as I am sure she’d love to help, her time is kind of taken up between the moon and helping me.” She said, managing to keep the majority of the bite she wanted to use out of her tone.

She gave Delilah a warm, happy smile when she was done, reaching out to place a hand gently on the other woman’s.

Delilah was her friend… her’s...

She had just found out she’d lost a homeworld she’d never really known. She wasn’t about to lose one of her best friends to a restoration project. As much as she liked Xan… This whole ordeal had really made her just want to pull Delilah away from it all - but she didn’t dare. That would have just been petty, and as much as it was tempting to BE so… Well…

She didn’t want them thinking she was just a petulant child…
---

Lena

Leaning back in her chair, the older woman had been listening and pondering right along with the rest of them. It had not been until Delilah slid the book over and she rose up to gaze along with Xanthas that things started to make sense.

For something on the moon to look so close to what Xan had told her about. There had to be more to this.

Oh she was excited. All the annoyance of people not having even tried was gone and she just smiled at Xan.

“That’s why we ask for help. Sometimes putting heads together helps form new ideas. We never know where they will lead…”

Lena though was cut short with the exchange between the three. Her eyes quickly flashed from Delilah to Mercy and then Seung. Finally they went back to the young senshi. Something was VERY wrong.
---

Delilah

Just about to open her mouth to expand on her theory, Delilah caught the words of Seung. Granting him a smile, she was about to answer when Mercy spoke up.

Never had she heard such things come out of her young fledglings mouth before. So surprised was the raven haired woman that she was rendered speechless for a long moment.

“Seung…” Delilah finally spoke, her eyes though were glued on the red head next to her. “Here…” With her free hand, she slid the book across the table to the man on the image she and Xanthas had been talking about. “From the sound of it, this is the idea. We are looking for signs of groups of people working together. From what Xan and I have found, it seems it has happened. However, how it happened we don’t know yet.”

Finally she looked over at the man. “My theory is this is more likely to be found on wonders and planets that were places of high traffic for more than just people of that area. My understanding of the moon was that visitors from all over came to it. It appears Kairatos was the same way. If your wonder was a theater, look for signs on it that people from outside…”She stopped for a moment...which one of them was Gany and Saturn again? “Outside your wonder visited. Quinn…”

For the first time in ages, she gazed towards her ex. And for the first time in how long, she looked at him like a human. “Havasu Falls was a resort if I remember correctly? I have a strong feeling that something may be there. Maybe in one of the back rooms or a piece of artwork. Worth looking for…” She shrugged and looked back towards Xan.

“Now comes the question though...what does it all mean…”
---

Seung

Nodding once he shifted in his seat and moved the book closer so he could glance over it. Taking in what was there he traced his fingertips gently over the paper material it was pictured on. “I’ll look for it. It might be in painting hanging in personal rooms also. There weren’t nearly as many paintings at his wonder as Havasu’s but there was a chance of it turning up there just as much as in some writing or something.

“Can’t read writing there but Ancestor might know...might have been in a play.” Since plays could be of all manner of topic it might have been included in a performance which would normally be an issue, since he couldn’t read anything written down at his wonder, but he had an ancestor to question and talk to. “Might also be in a book...will look for the library.” He wished there was a way to connect, from here to his ancestor, so they could question him together. Something similar to the hologram from star wars, only one that was interactive, it would be helpful right about now. Although….who said something like that couldn’t be developed...maybe one of those cats. It was an interesting idea but one to think about later - not now.

Moving the book over to Terry he leaned in close to his side. “We can search Erebus too?” Together he meant. It would help, he figured, to have two people searching together rather than just one person. He hadn’t bothered addressing Mercy as he figured she was right, he didn’t know her well enough to know something was up, and suspected Delilah was in fact just busy and didn’t wish to pull the dark haired senshi in yet another direction.

“I can help Havasu? With library at wonder and paintings.” He offered then, wanting to help as much as he could, and with the semester at college coming to an end he’d be able to. Not to mention he and Havasu were good friends at this point, or so he thought.

------

Xanthus

heaved a considering sigh, some of the delight fading back to reasonable consideration. “It would be nice if your ancestor did but…” he added, in a firm, cautioning tone. Perhaps an ironic one from the man with a known history for not seeming to demonstrate much that resembled personal caution on any level. “But I wouldn’t count on it, or at least not on a direct answer. As an reincarnated knight who couldn’t tell you more than a guess, I don’t know what someone who’s been spectrally guarding a piece of a dead world could firmly say either. We’re picking up pieces of something that, if it existed in more than theory, was firmly slapped out of our hands and shattered when… whatever happened, happened. And to Delilah he added. “... I want to say it reminds me of purification… I was told at the time it’s not possible to purify someone who doesn’t want to. That would make sense of the chains… only chaos can force the issue…. But then that still leaves at least one picture I don’t understand. Best guess… we’re just going to have to, at some point… find someone who’s alright with a crowd and try it. I noticed that too, your book and my statue… it’s both groups. But hey, if you can find it in a play… let us know, even if the best the notes come up with ‘exit, pursued by a bear.’.

That was it. That was pretty much the extent of his ability to make a Shakespeare joke and he entirely gave Lena the credit.

------

Quinn

Quinn muttered a thanks to Seung when he gave Xan and him the ring upgrades, realizing that the code pull he had felt a while back was likely for this upgrade. He had been busy and ignored it, apparently he shouldn't have. He focused on setting the upgrade on his simple gold ring rather than the slight spike of jealousy he felt at the idea of Seung exploring his wonder with Delilah, even though he knew neither were interested in each other. It was mostly over the ease with which his friend made his offer. Quinn missed that ease he had had with Delilah. Apparently he wasn't the only one to feel a little green monster raise it's ugly head as Mercy quickly squashed Seung's idea.

He was so absorbed in his own thoughts that he nearly missed Delilah talking to him. With a startled look he glanced over at her before nodding, “um yeah. A spa kind of thing as far as I can make out.” The young man shrugged, “it's likely. Seung and I mostly focused on the library and even that was mostly cleaning. Apparently the last knight wasn't the most organized.” With a slight smile he nodded at Seung. “Sure. The more heads the better. This time maybe I can get you to jump from the top of the falls,” he teased the other knight. Neither had really been up to anything more then soaking in the private hot spring Quinn had found previously after the hours of sifting through his wonder’s library.

Winter break was coming up so that meant his workload would be lightening slightly, if his job didn't add more hours on that is, so he could actually spend quite a while searching through his wonder for anything that would help out Xan. “Anyone is welcome actually. The more the merrier.” It would mean some late nights, long hours, and possibly no sleep but Quinn really hated that he hadn't truly done as he said he would. “Could I see the book? Maybe it will give me some kind of visual guide for what we are looking for.” Anything was better than nothing right?
---

Delilah

Leaning forward on the table, Delilah’s mind was clearly working. “Xan, you and I do need to talk a look at your wonder then. No offence but I don’t trust your artistic abilities to render what you saw. I want to see how much they are the same before guessing anything more…”

But those eyes were following that book. It was over a thousand years old and if anything happened to it she would skin them alive.

---

Xanthus

“That’s fair.” Xan nodded to Delilah. “I’ll run you up first chance I can, but it has to be after I’m on my own two feet again, I’m not going down a hole with crutches. There might be other ways down but I haven’t found them yet.”

And to Quinn he added. “Take a pic with your phone if you’ve got it, out of context I don’t see anyone figuring out what they’re looking at, just tell them it’s extra credit study of … interpretive dance or something.” He suggested, shrugging helplessly. He didn’t have a good idea, but if someone actually managed to key into the phone and found it… well there had to be some explanation. Greek plays or something? “Actually I wanted to grab you if we’re finishing up here. I had an idea to run by you, not related to this but it’s something you can maybe help with.”

Quinn had offered resources before, he was hoping he’d be able to take him up on them for this.

~~~
Terry
He wasn't surprised when Seung snagged his drink and had infact placed it down between them both just in case his boyfriend wanted to do just that. Terry took a bite of the pizza as he listened to Seung speak then made a mental note to ask Matt to keep an eye out for anything that might be helpful at his own Wonder though his brother hadn't been there yet.
He then turned his attention back to Xanthus as the other Knight started to speak, giving a thoughtful look and a nod when the other man told him to just keep checking up on the books. "Thank you, I had noticed the ground was looking more alive but it's nice to know that things like books and such can restore as well. I'll let you know if any of them restore enough to look through." He said with a smile.
It was fascinating to hear the bits and pieces about the other's Wonder's and Planets, even though it was also sad to hear they all had the lack of life to them. The book that was brought was definitely something special though and it would be nice to know what it said. When it was moved closer to Seung he leaned over to look at it as well then gave Seung a smile at the question. "Of course." He then shot Quinn a look that was half amused, half worried at the suggestion that he would be trying to get Seung to jump from the top of falls.
Quinn
Quinn handled the book with utmost care. Aware that he was handling something older than dirt... and he would be beat within an inch of his life if he damaged it. He looked up when Xan mentioned taking a picture, take a picture it'll last longer, “I could always say it's a reference for my final. I’ve got thousands of random pictures so a few more wouldn’t really stand out.” His phone was full of everything from buildings and plants to people and even food. If someone ever got a hold of his phone they might think that it belonged to either a teenage girl or a picture happy toddler. As it was the sandy haired knight used each one for inspiration. The color, the shape, the line, even the mood the picture portrayed. Quite often he would tweak his design when a new image struck his fancy.
He quickly added the book’s illustration to his phone, already wondering if it was possible to incorporate anything about the images into his project, missing Terry’s look at the falls comment as Quinn’s mind already started down a different path than the one they were all there for. Maybe some kind of fresco or even a mural. Go all greek and roman in columns and arches. He had planned on pulling the fountain but maybe he shouldn’t. Maybe - His train of thought was interrupted by Xan talking to him.
“What?” He glanced up from the book, surprised and a bit embarrassed at getting sucked into his own work when they were their to help the other knight out. “Oh, um sure. That shouldn’t be a problem. I’m done work for the night so I don’t have to leave right away.” That wasn’t quite true. He had finished all the normal workday tasks but he still had paperwork to go through. Along with his own projects and even looking over some of the less important files for the family company Quinn had his hands full. Not that he was expecting to get much sleep that night anyway. Besides he kinda owed Xan for failing to help out with this information hunt even though he had said he would.
Xan:
“Great… I wanted to ask you about that gym you mentioned one time…”
