There was just something satisfying about watching Santa deliver presents. Sure she was almost thirty, but Karone couldn’t help but have her laptop open to the website where they tracked Santa. She had been watching since about nine o’clock, and now it was just after two, and Santa was headed to Colorado Springs, after just visiting Chihuahua, Mexico. The tracker said that it would take Santa a whopping five minutes to get from Chihuahua to Colorado Springs, and Karone chuckled at the thought. Boy, normal travel could learn a lot from Santa. Maybe if people put research into that instead of the other crap that people decided to throw money into researching.

Why couldn’t they just shove that money into ‘Santa Speed’ instead?

The woman pulled the blanket up that had fallen from over her shoulders and nestled deeper into the couch. Her cold was almost gone, thank goodness, but she was still feeling less than perfect, so that stunk. Watching this Santa Tracker also kind of bummed her out. Why hadn’t Santa made a point of stopping at Destiny City? He was going to a lot of major cities, and also a ton of small, obscure towns that she really didn’t understand.

Stupid biased Santa tracker. What if she didn’t get her presents? Karone chuckled, stretching and pulling her laptop closer. Even if Santa skipped her town, she was going to watch until he stopped delivering. Idly she wondered what time that would be...she was supposed to be at her parents house by noon, and it was now pushing three in the morning...but...but that would be fine. Even if she was a little late, they wouldn’t eat dinner without her, and she was sure that Gale would cover for her. Besides, now Santa was on his way to Wyoming, she couldn’t just stop now, she had spent almost six hours watching this journey, she was more than invested...they would understand.

Well...she could have been doing worse things tonight. Honestly, she thought of tonight as her gift to all of the senshi and knights of the city, Merry Christmas you stupid little worms, and a Happy New Year too. She figured that she would lay off with the terrorizing until the year rolled over...unless she had a good reason to be out. The Negaverse could last a week without her, after all...and she had been sick.

It was now ten after four, and Santa was almost at Fairbanks Alaska. Karone was more than half asleep by now, but she felt that if she were to quit, she could never forgive herself...but he seemed as though he was almost done. After all, how far away from the North Pole could Fairbanks really even be? And he seemed to have delivered to everywhere else by now. With Fairbanks down, he began his flight to Anchorage, and Karone gave a huge yawn, rubbing at her tired eyes.

Come on, Santa. Some people had to go to sleep. She pondered for a moment, then got up, taking her laptop with her from the couch, into her bedroom and getting comfy. At least if she fell asleep watching this, she’d be sleeping in the comfort of her own bed and not the couch, that was the best thing that she could think of doing.

Of course, now that she was in bed, it didn’t take long for her to fall asleep. She missed the final delivery by just a few short minutes. Santa made his final delivery at Midway Atoll and headed back to the North Pole, getting home by six.

Well, She had tried, and almost succeeded.

Merry Christmas.
