Jolanta had left Pajore fairly early, finding himself with a rare day off where he didn't have either something to do for the Sanctum or training with his aunt Vae. Now that he had free time he found himself heading out to work on a task that he'd been wanting to do for some time, that being to try to find and tame a Tintural. The strange turtles that wandered around Yael, growing their own herb gardens, were sought after creatures when it came to many sorts. He knew that there were those that wanted them as companion, one in particular that he knew, and as such he wanted to try to get his hands on one of the reptiles. Here was to hoping that he'd be able to find one of them... and actually bring it back with him.

He gave a little sigh as he looked around the area that he was standing in, seeking out any sort of movement that might tell him that one of them was around. It took him some time, a lot of pacing and walking in circles, before he caught sight of a pair of them. He hurried along toward the pair, giving them both a once over, "Alright, the two of you look like a good option when it comes to a gift for the Priestess." He told them in a serious tone of voice.

The two Tinturals turned to look over toward Jolanta for a moment before they continued forward once more. It seemed as though it wouldn't be as easy as one would hope, huh? That meant that he was going to more then just demand them to come along with him, huh? He wasn't really well versed in how one was supposed to deal with animals because that wasn't his job. The closest that he'd been to any before was when he'd gone to gather slime from the Diascia. That expedition aside he'd not really needed to deal with beasts before now... and he wasn't quite sure how to go about it. They were big enough that he couldn't really pick it up and carry it home against its will. On top of that doing so might hurt the herbs it was growing... so what to do? Follow them and try to make friends?

This should be interesting he thought to himself as he moved to fall into step alongside the pair of turtles. As he did so he studied them, trying to figure out what sorts of herbs they might be carrying. Which of them would be more useful to the Priestess? He couldn't really say, he didn't know the uses for all of the herbs. He wondered if that was something that he aught to do. Should he start to study herbs so that he could gather them for the Priests and Priestesses while he was out and about? Hard to say really but it would be a good thing to take up so that he could be even more useful to those that he served. Being able to deliver them herbs that they might need would be a good way to go about things.

Jolanta did his best to follow along next to the tinturals for a while, talking to them, trying to get them used to him. As he did so he studied the path that they were walking. It would be good to know what sort of path they traveled, where they could be found, how he could better find them, and the like. He wanted to be able to be able to find them easily if he found himself unable to catch one of them today after all. It might take some time for him to do this after all but he would do his best to catch one of these beasts for the Priestess if at all possible.

Giving pause Jolanta watched as the two turtles left the path, heading into some tall grass, nearly disappearing within it. So that was where they went, huh? It was also why they seemed to be hard to find at times, because they blended in so well. He found himself wondering if this was how they were able to gather seeds to grow their herbs too, by walking through the tall plants, knocking the seeds free to fall onto their shells. It was interesting to him and made him wonder if the different tinturals were able to gather different seeds because they all wandered different paths. Would one be able to get them to grow the 'right' herbs by leading a tamed one to specific places to gather seeds? He supposed that he'd have to figure that out so that the one he was hoping to gift the beast to would be able to have the knowledge.

Jolanta found himself standing there on the edge of the mass of flowery herbs that the pair of tintural had walked into, studying them closely. He stood there for some time, his eyes scanning from side to side and as he did so he realized something that made his eyes go rather wide... the turtles were gone. He'd followed them here but found that he could no longer spot them. Had they moved on while he was studying the herbs? Had they disappeared into a den of some sort? Did he just completely lose track of them somehow? They were able to blend in so well but now he couldn't find them anywhere within the flowers.

Crossing his arms over his chest he gave a grumbling sound, "That was a poor attempt at this." He muttered to himself. Was this a sign from the Goddess Dafiel? That he should be serving the Sanctum in a manner that didn't involve bringing gifts to the Priestess? It made sense, that wasn't his place after all. He was supposed to serve, to protect, not ply people with gifts or try to make friends. He was servant of the Sanctum after all, not someone who was worthy of being anything more then that to the Priestesses and Priests. The fact that he was trying to find presents for them was foolishness on his part. Especially after what he'd done, going so far as to pretend to be Lurin for a time to make sure that one of the Priestesses didn't make the mistake of getting feelings for someone like him. He shouldn't do anything that might insight more of such feelings, right? He wanted her to look at him as her guardian, someone she could trust to protect her, but not as anything more. Someone like that deserved someone on her level after all.

Taking off his glasses he set to rubbing at his eyes with the other hand for a moment, "Alright, it's time that I get back to Pajore." He really needed to do something that was more useful then just trying to find a turtle. Perhaps he'd get to work studying herbs so that he could gather them, share them with those in the Sanctum that needed them, but in a manner that was anonymous. He wasn't serving because he was seeking praise after all. He was doing so because he owed the Sanctum so much!

After one last glance at the flowers before him he said, "I understand this sign, Goddess Dafiel, I will return to my true work and not risk foolish ventures again." He said to the Goddess before he turned on his heel, walking away from the flowers and the turtles that had gone missing within them. The fact that he'd lost track of the tinturals, the fact that he'd completely lost them track of them as though they had vanished for a moment from sight and mind, it was surely as sign from the Goddess. He knew what he was meant to do and he needed to get back to it.
